The Adventure Continues
Tazz got the full dose, Hootie only got half….or less. Damn, those cats are STRONG! So now, Tazz is lying in the middle of the floor looking all stoned to hell. :) Hootie, on the other hand, is cowering in the bathroom corner, slightly glazed, and madder than a lib in a tax cutting session.
Small child is changing the channel ever few seconds, looking for whatever small children watch on the idjit box these days. Looks like the Disney Channel isn’t doing it for her this morning. Me either!
Now, it’s time to load up critters and kid, and head on down the road.
Dear Lord, give me patience!

Iraq government in disarray, leaders play blame game
Friction between Iraq’s Sunni Arab, Shi’ite and Kurdish leaders has erupted into a public spat over who is to blame for the failure so far to enact any of the laws that Washington hopes will reconcile Iraqis.
While U.S. officials have pressured Shi’ite Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki’s government — a brittle coalition of Shi’ites, Kurds and Sunni Arabs — to move faster, the latest bout of finger-pointing highlights the political gridlock.
Gee, politicians being…..well, politicians. I’m off the mind they can get their act together or blow themselves straight to hell. Kind of the same opinion I have of those milling the halls of the U.S. gubmint.
Armed Preacher Nabs Theft Suspect
A former Bakersfield police officer turned pastor helped nab a man who allegedly stole a car from his church’s parking lot.
(…)
The pastor followed the driver until he crashed, tackled him as he crawled out of the car and then handcuffed him until police arrived on the scene.
Way to go pastor!
Score another one for the good guys!
Iran’s Khamenei says U.S. and Israel are main foes
“The Zionist regime (Israel) and the American government are the main enemies of Iran, and hatred for America is deepening every day around the globe,” Khamenei said in a televised speech.
Pfft! Iran’s biggest foe is…..Iran! Envy and jealousy is ugly in any society.
Baby sitter charged with pimping girl
GRANITE CITY, Ill. — A baby sitter accused of allowing a man to have sex with a 12-year-old girl in her care for money was charged with pimping, police said.
Amber Salts, 20, took the girl to the home of a 48-year-old man she had been “romantically involved” with and allowed the girl to have sex with him, said Madison County sheriff’s Sgt. Mike Dixon.
Now that is just beyond sick! I hope they charge her with more than ‘pimping’.
The dispute - in which the three princesses from the ultra-conservative Qatar royal family demanded segregated seating - left the London-bound plane delayed on a baking Italian runway for nearly three hours.
Furious passengers whistled and clapped as the row intensified before the captain eventually ordered the women to be escorted off the plane.
The princesses, wearing traditional Arab dress, were returning from a day’s shopping in Milan. They arrived at the city’s Linate airport and boarded Heathrow-bound flight BA 563, which was due to take off at 4pm on Thursday.
If they can afford to fly off for an afternoon of shopping, they can damn well sit where they are suppose to, or get their own damn plane! I’d be cheering at their tossing too!
Ex-Taliban Lawmaker Enters Hostage Talks
The Taliban has demanded the release of insurgent prisoners in exchange for the South Koreans, who were captured on July 19. One of the original 23 captives was shot to death on Wednesday.
A former Taliban commander - Abdul Salaam Rocketi, now a member of parliament - has joined the talks, said Shirin Mangal, spokesman of the Ghazni provincial governor. A second lawmaker and several respected leaders from around Qarabagh, the area in Ghazni province where the hostages were taken, have also joined, he said.
I don’t want to see the innocents killed, but I really hope they do not release the murderous slime balls.
ONE TO TIE
Bonds goes deep as Giants hit 4 homers in wild win vs. Marlins
Their time has arrived because Barry Bonds has arrived at Hank Aaron’s door. The two men have been separated by eras and by reputation. Now, they are separated by one home run.
Bonds hit his 754th in a 12-10 victory over the Florida Marlins on Friday, a bizarre night that blended the fans’ gratitude toward Bonds, their venom toward pitcher Barry Zito as he was clobbered again for six runs in four innings and ultimately their satisfaction with a wild Giants win fueled by four home runs.
And the man will forever be marked by an *.
Whispers started with the first few gunshots.
Neighborhood rumors had it that a cotton farmer who leases land from the Chickasaw Basin Authority near the Wolf River was shooting deer on the property.
So when residents discovered nearly 40 of the animals had been killed and left to rot in the surrounding woods, they reacted with horror.
It’s one thing to shoot Bambi for dinner. It’s a completely different matter to shoot them just for the hell of it!

8 Random Facts?
I got tagged by Musings of a Thoughtful Conservative to provide 8 random facts. I’m going to take a wild stab and say the random facts are suppose to be about me?
I’m not sure there are 8 anythings about me that aren’t basically already out there. Hmmm…. some thought processing….. …… …….. …….. ………………. OUCH!
Well, everyone seems to be starting at 0 (zero) but that would confuse me way too much. I can only count on my fingers and I don’t have a 0 finger.
Okay, here goes:
1. Small child thinks I’m the meanest ol’ broad on the planet, cuz I tend to say “NO” a lot.
2. I have a very nervous cat on my lap which is making typing difficult.
3. If I have to watch much more of Disney Channel, I’m going to have take up drinking.
4. I use to be a ‘hippy’, aka a bit of a lib.
5. I’ve lived in 6 states and one foreign country.
6. Mr. Ol’ Broad and I enjoy visiting archaeological sites.
7. I have 2 older sisters, one younger brother, one daughter, 2 granddaughters, and one ick in law.
8. Mr. Ol’ Broad thinks I’m an Emelda Marcos clone, but there’s no such thing as too much jewelry or too many shoes.
There, that’s all I can think of at that moment. How ’bout instead of me tagging others, anyone who wants to can ‘play along’.

Love That Kitty Valium!
What do you do when you have to transport two cats over 700 miles? Why, you drug ‘em of course! What do they do when the drug wears off after you check into the motel?
Well, hide naturally!

They aren’t too happy with me right now. Although, they are going to be even less happy tomorrow morning when start the process all over again.

Hazelton
I just heard the mayor of Hazleton on the Steve Gill show (via internet), and one of the things that struck me was that he was told the should have checked with Mexico before the city they tried to impose restrictions on illegals.
Say WHAT? Since when do other countries have a say in how we in live ours? What on earth could possibly be gained by allowing a foreign country monitor OUR laws?
Another thing was that he believed the ACLU was hoping they’d run out of money before the appeal of yesterday’s decision moved on to a higher court. We can’t let that happen. Their web site has a place to donate to help them out with the legal fees. I suggest everyone make a donation, large or small. What happens in Hazleton will determine whether or not we have the right to defend ourselves, through the law, from the massive takeover by illegals.
It seems the people who brought the suit against Hazleton were allowed anonymity by the judge. John and Jane Doe didn’t have to show up in court, and no one knows if they actually live in the town. They were afraid they would be deported if they did. As well they should be! They are in the country illegally fer petes sake! They are breaking the law every day just by being here.

Iraqi Army conducts independent operation, tips lead to weapons cache
Multi-National Division – North PAO
KIRKUK, Iraq – An independent operation conducted by the Iraqi Army brigade responsible for Kirkuk province resulted in the discovery of a makeshift bunker housing a significant weapons cache near the village of Riyadh, 52 kilometers southwest of the provincial capital, July 22.
“Operation Iraqi Home Protector,†the first independent mission by the 2nd Brigade, 4th Iraqi Army Division began early Saturday morning and consisted of a series of cordon and searches of villages south of Kirkuk in northern Salah ad Din Province and continued the next day into western Kirkuk province.
Near the village of Riyadh, Iraqi Army scouts discovered a small bunker underneath a home and seized at least two rockets, 35 mortar rounds, 3 weapons, miscellaneous explosive ordnance and key components used to make improvised explosive devices, or IEDs. Also recovered from the site were anti-Iraqi forces training materials, documents and records of insurgent activity.
