Liberals: A Puzzlement
By Burt Prelutsky
I’ll come right out and admit that I understand Islamic terrorists far better than I do American liberals. After all, once you realize that young Muslims are taught by their religious leaders that our nation is militarily powerful and technologically advanced because we cut a deal with Satan, you can see where they’d be upset with us. But what is the deal with liberals? How to explain their mushy heads? Was it something weird in their baby formula? Were they potty-trained when they were too young or, more likely, too old? Or is it simply something in their DNA? Are their chromosomes slightly out of whack, the way it is with homosexuals and the transgender crowd?
I’m serious. Why else would Americans so resent the United States having more influence in the world than, say, Luxembourg or Lichtenstein? Why do they seem to have no rooting interest in capitalism prevailing over all the other isms? Do they think that the reason they live so much better than the typical Russian or Turk is because they, themselves, are intellectually superior? Fat chance!
…..and put it down. sigh…. Since about 6:00 this morning, I have been doing the ‘dance’. Back, forth, to, fro. I’m exhausted!
The freakin’ sun wasn’t even up, when I saw them moseying across the back yard, from the opposite direction of where they live. Hmmmm…..
I honestly believe that SOB that owns the birds is standing on the other side of the woods chasing them back over here. I got the spawn of satan to leave, came back in the house, for the 8th time, sat down at the kitchen table, looked towards the trees and saw them hauling ass back over here. This happened 3 different times.
I did, however, bean one of ‘em in the ass with a rock. Ok, so it was a ricochet, but still……
Nearly blown away by the Packers’ early intensity and trailing by 10 points in the second half, the Chicago Bears got off the mat and posted a stunning 27-20 victory Sunday night at Lambeau Field.
What the hell happened?
Scott A. Masters, 41, is accused of shoplifting the pastry and pushing a store worker who tried to stop him. The worker was unhurt. But with that shove, his shoplifting turned into a strong-arm robbery. Masters, who appeared in court Friday, is stunned. The prosecutor shows no signs of backing down. In fact, because Masters has a prior record, he could get a sentence of 30 years to life.
They have GOT to be kidding!
In the last two months in particular, General Petraeus, the top American commander in Iraq, has blamed a good deal of the violence in Iraq on Iranian meddling. He went much further yesterday, telling CNN that the Iranian ambassador in Baghdad, Hassan Kazemi Qomi, was a member of the country’s Quds Force, the elite terrorist training arm of the Revolutionary Guard.
Honestly, I’m real surprised the Iraqis even allow an Iranian embassy in their country, given the violence and deaths at their hands.
The United States is not sticking to a full resolution of the issue of North Korea’s past abduction of Japanese nationals as a condition for removing Pyongyang from its list of terrorism-sponsoring states, diplomatic sources said Monday.
While Tokyo has been asking Washington not to delist North Korea until all abductees are returned, the United States is paying greater attention to how cooperative the North will be such as in giving additional explanations about the fate of eight abductees including Megumi Yokota as the criteria for judging the abduction issue resolved in removing Pyongyang from the list, said the sources who were briefed about the U.S. position.
Removing N.K. from ‘the list’ makes NO sense at all. Especially when the little Chia DICtator is still in charge, and considering their roll in the Syria incident.
When Jose Medellin was arrested in 1993, he signed a confession detailing how he and five fellow gang members had raped and sodomized two Houston teenagers before strangling them with their shoe laces. He bragged that he had pocketed one girl’s Mickey Mouse watch as a souvenir.
Medellin and four others eventually were convicted of capital murder and sent to Texas’ death row. A juvenile court sentenced Medellin’s younger brother, who was 14 at the time, to 40 years in prison.
This week, Medellin’s case makes its second trip to the Supreme Court. The issue now is not his confession to the murders of Jennifer Ertman and Elizabeth Peña, but something else he said during his arrest: He informed the police that he is a Mexican citizen. But officers didn’t inform him of his right to contact the Mexican Consulate for legal assistance.
Know what? Don’t care! Maybe if we off a few illegals, Mexico will stop sending them. This isn’t 1963 anymore. Times have changed, along with the number of ILLEGALS who are invading our country, causing bodily harm to LEGAL citizens. As far as I’m concerned, they can all rot.
An Islamic court in Nigeria has banned a satirical play written by a rights activist about corrupt politicians in states run under Sharia law.
Shehu Sani’s play Phantom Crescent lampoons officials who use Sharia laws to help them plunder state funds.
Well hells bells. Wouldn’t want the regular folk to actually start THINKING, would we.
Hamas now has complete control over the smuggling routes from Egypt, having forced the clans that previously controlled these routes to take orders from it, say senior officers in the Israel Defense Forces.
The officers said there has been a sharp increase in the quantity of explosives, including various types of rockets, smuggled into the Gaza Strip from Egypt over the last few weeks.
Ooooo….now there’s a real shocker! (insert extreme sarcasm here)
Less than 6 percent of the military’s flag officers are black, and the Congressional Black Caucus believes the services are ignoring a brewing crisis caused by a lack of diversity among its leaders.
Members of the caucus are calling for congressional hearings on minority representation in the military’s highest ranks after discussions with service leaders produced no new programs or strategies to address the issue.
Excuse me, but what the hell difference does it make what color an officer’s skin is? Shouldn’t the whole idea be leadership, not race? The bigots at the Black Caucus don’t seem to realize that if you aren’t insisting your young men and women get a good education, work hard, and expect the most from themselves, then there isn’t going to be a lot of ‘officer material’, now is there.
Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee, D-Texas, said the lack of minorities at the highest levels sends a poor message to younger troops.
Actually Miss Sheila, you keep sending the message that everything should be handed to kids on a silver platter, because of the color of their skin. What kind of message does THAT send?!
U.S. citizens Mario R. Capecchi and Oliver Smithies and Briton Sir Martin J. Evans won the 2007 Nobel Prize in medicine on Monday for groundbreaking stem cell discoveries that led to a technology known as gene targeting.
The process has helped scientists develop models on mice of human disorders from cardiovascular and neuro-degenerative ailments to diabetes and cancer.
One of three helicopters escorting President Gen. Pervez Musharraf crashed in Pakistan’s portion of Kashmir on Monday, killing four people on board, but the president was unhurt, officials said.
Army spokesman Maj. Gen. Waheed Arshad blamed a “technical fault” for the crash of the military helicopter and said Musharraf had already reached his destination when the accident occurred.
Are they SURE it was a technical thing?
Graeme Frost, who gave the democrat rebuttal to George Bush’s reasons for vetoing the SCHIP Bill, is a middle school student at the exclusive$20,000 per year Park School in Baltimore, MD.
Graeme was in a severe car accident three years ago, and received care paid for by the government program known as SCHIP-(State Children’s Health Insurance Program)
“I was in a coma for a week and couldn’t eat or stand up or even talk. My sister was even worse,” Graeme wrote. “My parents work really hard and always make sure my sister and I have everything we need, but we can’t afford private health insurance.”
His sister Gemma, also severely injured in the accident, attended the same school prior to the accident meaning the family was able to come up with nearly $40,000 per year for tuition for these 2 grade schoolers. Confirmation both attended Park found here using edit-”find on this page”-Gemma. It will take you to an article in the schools newspaper about a fundraiser for Gemma class of 16, and Graeme class of 13.
It’s quite an interesting read. Make sure you check out ALL the links, too. I guess when it comes to bilking the taxpayers, no LIE is too big, or small.
