Immunity Deals Offered to Blackwater Guards
The State Department investigators from the agency’s investigative arm, the Bureau of Diplomatic Security, offered the immunity grants even though they did not have the authority to do so, the officials said. Prosecutors at the Justice Department, who do have such authority, had no advance knowledge of the arrangement, they added.
Is there anyone in charge around here??
Giuliani Still Working at Firm He Promised to Leave
Ten months into his presidential bid, Rudolph W. Giuliani continues to work part time at the security consulting firm he promised to leave this past spring to focus on his pursuit of the Republican nomination.
Giuliani’s continuing involvement with a firm catering to corporate clients makes him unique among Republican contenders. It also complicates the task of separating his firm’s assets from his campaign spending.
This is a problem….why? Maybe he needs the money?
Embalmed heads found in I-30 truck
Judge Williams was called to the scene when a regular traffic stop Sunday morning by Royse City police turned into a grisly discovery of severed heads in the back of a tractor-trailer.
Police said the truck driver was pulled over for speeding about 2:30 a.m. on Interstate 30 at the Hunt County line. Because he was acting suspiciously, officers looked in the back and saw about two dozen embalmed human heads staring back at them from plastic bags and containers.
Ewwwww.
Teen girls charged in McIntosh High threats
Police have arrested two teenage girls who are accused of threatening to take guns to a McIntosh High School, kill as many students as possible and then commit suicide.
The girls ages 15 and 16 were arrested Monday on charges of making terroristic threats against students at McIntosh High in Peachtree City.
The two talked about the plan on the Internet and in the community, police said.
Where did the decline begin that kids came to believe shooting up their schools would solve their problems?
Former presidential attaché says Israel, U.S. planning possible strike against Iranian nuke sites
Lt. Col. Robert “Buzz” Patterson (USAF-Ret.) is a former Clinton military attaché who now serves as vice chairman of the group Move America Forward. He believes Israel and the U.S. are making plans to take action against Iranian nuclear installations. “I think you’re going to see a very similar operation to what you saw in Syria,” opines Patterson. “And I think that’s already been planned — I think it’s just a matter of time.”
If this is true, is it really such a good idea to keep announcing it? I mean, seriously! What is the point of planning something and let the whole world know about it? Seems kind of self defeating if ya ask me. Do it or don’t do it. Just quit telling the bad guys.
Muhammad Deif: We’ll strike in heart of Israel
Muhammad Deif, the commander of Hamas’ military wing, has said that the movement will strike in the heart of Israel in the near future, a senior Hamas member said Tuesday.
The man, Sheikh Ahmed Hamdan from the southern Gaza Strip town of Khan Younis, said that he recently met with Deif in his hiding place, and heard from him that Hamas will soon replace its defensive fighting policy with an offensive one.
I’d say they’ve been pretty offensive for a long time.
Crew Overtakes Pirates on Hijacked Ship Off Somalia
Officials on Tuesday said the crew of a ship hijacked off of Somalia have overpowered the attackers and regained control of the vessel.
Pirates took over the cargo ship with dozens of foreign crew members reportedly on board late Monday in the waters off the war-battered capital, Mogadishu, said Paddy Ankunda, a Somalia spokesman for the African Union, which has peacekeepers at the city’s port.
A cargo trader who works at the port said the ship was from South Korea, with 43 foreign crew members on board. The trader, who spoke on condition of anonymity due to feared reprisals from the pirates, said the ship had been carrying a load of sugar from India. Both spoke by telephone from Mogadishu.
Isn’t it nice to know there are some people who won’t just roll over for the bad guys?

Because we somehow don’t get the fact that there are some things WE DO NOT need to know.
Can you imagine how WWII would have gone if the Japanese had announced in their papers that they were planning on bombing Pearl Harbor? Criminy!
