In Defense of the Second Amendment
If ever there was a rational argument for the 2nd Amendment, it is the senseless murders of the unarmed, law abiding citizen. Thugs don’t give a crap about “Gun Free Zones”. Those in a so called gun free zone are easy targets for the animals that prey on the unarmed citizen.
This is an op-ed piece (written by Peter J. Mancus, attorney) I came across while looking for information on the murder of my friend’s son:

That ill conceived city ordinance, which created a “Gun Free Zone,” did not keep this gang murder from violating this farcical zone. It did, however, set up Mr. Toste for slaughter. This is because Mr. Toste, a law-abiding citizen, obeyed this ordinance, and the murderer did not. Such “feel good” legislation promoted an atmosphere were criminal predators have been assured by our civic misleaders [politicians, polic chief, and sheriff] that to the extent sheeple citizens comply with this city ordinance, punks can plunder and murder without being confronted with an excellent gang deterrent, namely, a loaded firearm held by the real “First Responder,” a citizen, who, when confronted by a criminal, assumes responsibility for his life, who retains the pragmatic means to enforce his rights to Life and Liberty, on-the-spot, who refuses to become a crime victim, and who refuses to obey an unconstitutional ordinance.Â
