Edwards Denounces Pro-Obama Ad, Calls it ‘Divisive Politics’
Addressing a crowd of several hundred supporters at a rally in Las Vegas on Friday, John Edwards denounced an ad running in Nevada by a national labor union supporting Barack Obama.
The pro-Obama radio ad, airing on two Spanish stations and sponsored by a group called UNITE HERE (the parent union of Culinary Workers’ 266 that has endorsed Obama), calls Hillary Clinton “shameless†and says “she does not respect our people.â€
I am going to have to disagree with the Breck Girl! That “shameless” comment? It’s true, so what’s the problem?
Then there’s that other comment, “she does not respect our people” claptrap. Uh, who are “our people”? If you are voting, I’m going to go on the assumption you are an American citizen. If so, then that too, is an accurate statement. Hillary Clinton has no respect for the American people. You see, to people like the Clintons, we lower beings are incapable of running our own live, and they, or more specifically, she, believes she must take control. Pfft! That woman can’t even control her own husband, what on earth makes anyone think she could do better than we can.
However, if those who made the ad believe they are separate from the rest of us….well, blow it out yer wazoo! I’ll agree with Johnny, and it’s a tacky ad. Well, at least that part of it.
