U.N. humanitarian chief condemns Palestinian rocket attacks
“We condemn absolutely the firing of these rockets. There’s no justification for it. They are indiscriminate, there’s no military target,” John Holmes, the U.N. undersecretary general for humanitarian affairs, told The Associated Press during a visit to Sderot.
Fine and dandy. But where’s the condemnation for the other ‘indiscriminate’ attacks? You know, like the pizza places, the shopping areas, the kidnappings? Huh? Where’s THAT condemnation? Useless Numnuts!
Bush: Keep Abstinence in AIDS Program
Congress strongly backs the program, which is credited with getting medicine and preventive treatment to millions of people — most of them in sub-Saharan Africa. Yet its renewal has gotten hung up over ideology and political debate about disease prevention.
Some Democrats want to eliminate a provision in the bill that requires one-third of all prevention spending go to abstinence-until-marriage programs. Critics say that while they don’t oppose abstinence programs, the inflexible requirement hampers the effort.
I’m baffled. If teaching abstinence would prevent this horrible disease, why are the Dhimmis against it? Oh yeah, cuz they WANT people to die! That’s the only explanation I can come up with.
Clinton challenges Obama to debate policies
Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton yesterday rallied her supporters then came out with a personal challenge for Sen. Barack Obama to debate her before Tuesday’s primary.
The New York Democrat complained about “the fact that he won’t debate me,” echoing arguments she’s made in two television ads. The two have debated just once face-to-face after the other candidates dropped out of the race.
Ya know why he won’t debate her, mano y mano? Cuz he’s all fluff, no substance, and hers are bigger than his, that’s why! Heh.
California Lawmaker Wants to Make Global Warming Part of School Curriculums
A California state lawmaker wants to require public schools to teach global warming in all science classes, according to a report in the San Jose Mercury News.
The measure by Democratic state Sen. Joe Simitian would mandate that global warming be included in all future textbooks approved for California public schools.
“You can’t have a science curriculum that is relevant and current if it doesn’t deal with the science behind climate change,” Simitian told the Mercury News. “This is a phenomenon of global importance and our kids ought to understand the science behind that phenomenon.”

Course broadens horizons, opens eyes about blacks in Africa, U.S.
“If I have guns and other weapons, like canons, and I can freely take over other people, am I going to do that? Yes,” he snaps. “This isn’t a racial thing; it’s more a capitalistic or economic thing.”
Brower then informs the class that African tribes were enslaving each other well before Europeans came seeking African slaves.
“So do they (the Africans) bear some of the blame?” he asks.
Now THIS is the sort of thing they might want to consider teaching in the classrooms….REAL history and not some faux science B.S.!
Memphian to defend suspected terrorists
Experts in the military-justice issues raised by the military commission that has been created to hear all six cases simultaneously say there are huge and numerous unanswered questions about the fairness of the untested procedures.
Fair? Was it ‘fair’ for those 3000 to die? No warning, no chance to defend themselves? I hope they all burn!
Muslim with ties to Farrakhan may be headed to Congress
A convert to Islam stands an election victory away from becoming the second Muslim elected to Congress and a role model for a faith community seeking to make its mark in national politics.
Political newcomer Andre Carson is the Democratic nominee in a March 11 special election to succeed his late grandmother, Julia Carson, representing Indiana’s 7th District. She died in December of lung cancer, and her grandson is seeking to fill out the rest of her sixth term, which expires at year’s end.
If Andre Carson wins the Democratic-leaning Indianapolis district over a freshman Republican legislator and a longshot Libertarian candidate, he would join Rep. Keith Ellison, D-Minn., as the only Muslims elected to Congress.
Is this really a good idea??
More illegal immigrants are rushing to file taxes
Illegal immigrants are pouring into tax-preparation offices and nonprofit agencies across Massachusetts and the nation to file state and federal income taxes, taking a step that some might deem unthinkable: giving their name, address, and financial information to the government.
In Massachusetts, taxpayers here illegally are lining up from Chelsea to the Berkshires, despite the fear of deportation that is permeating the state after a massive raid in New Bedford last year and smaller raids in Boston-area cities and towns. While typical American taxpayers are wary of the Internal Revenue Service, illegal immigrants see the IRS as a friendly agency that could help in their quest for legal residency.
And there should be a bus waiting for them as they come out the door!
