Memphis Slaughter

Cause of death still unknown

In one of the worst mass killings in Memphis history, six people — including two children — were found dead inside a Binghamton home Monday night.

Three other children found in the home at 722 Lester were taken to Le Bonheur Children’s Medical Center in extremely critical condition, police said. They said all of the children involved were under the age of 12.

Later Monday night, one child was upgraded to stable condition with a second upgraded to critical. The third remained in extremely critical condition.

A Memphis Fire Department official said most of the victims had been shot. At least one of the children had been stabbed, police said.

It was unknown why the people were killed or even when, as police continued to investigate the grisly scene late into the rainy night. Police had not identified the victims late Monday.

“We just don’t know the motive or cause of death, but we do have four adults and two children (dead),” Memphis police Lt. Jerry Guin said.

Not knowing the motive is one thing, but when there are gun shot and stab wounds, even I can figure out the “cause” of death.

It seems the every night on the news we hear of more people being shot and killed in Memphis than we ever heard of in Milwaukee. Gang violence is on the rise, and it seems like random violence is an hourly occurrence. We don’t go to Memphis unless we absolutely have to, and since the Mr is down here on a full time basis now, we don’t have to!

What kind of sick animal targets children? Memphis seems to be full of them.

    Memphis lacks leadership.

The mayor’s an idiot. The police are do-nothings. City council’s a joke.

Just about everybody with some semblance of a moral compass left years ago. There’s nothing left. All it needs is a Katrina-like disaster to blow up completely.

Once that happens, maybe it will get back to the Memphis I left in the late ’70’s. At least I hope so.

I’d say a good earthquake would do it, but that would affect the rest of us too. :/
