Tancredo demands pardon for former Border Patrol agents

Congressman Tom Tancredo is demanding that President Bush grant a full pardon to two former Border Patrol agents who he believes were falsely convicted in connection with the 2005 shooting of a fleeing drug suspect who was in the U.S. illegally.

President Bush recently pardoned 15 criminals and commuted the sentence of another — a convicted crack-cocaine dealer. But Congressman Tom Tancredo (R-Colorado) notes that former U.S. Border Patrol agents Jose Compean and Ignacio Ramos remain incarcerated after being convicted of wounding a fleeing drug smuggler, who had brought 743 pounds of marijuana across the U.S. border.

Tancredo says it is shameful the president is allowing Compean and Ramos to continue to suffer in prison while commuting the sentences of drug dealers and money launderers. “[T]he fact is that I cannot think of a situation that screams out for a pardon or a commutation louder than this one for Ramos and Compean,” he maintains.

Not just a pardon, but a complete exoneration!  Sentencing these men who were doing their job is bad enough.  The fact that they are STILL behind bars is appalling!

Hey Bush!  Listen to “We The People”!

Over the last 2 years, I’ve lost a lot of respect for Bush. This is just another reason.

The fact is President Bush was never a Conservative…I wish he was…and he did some Conservative things…but I don’t expect a Pardon for these guys…Bush is more than willing to sell out out country and sell out these guys to Illegals!!!! I have said it many times and it is true…President Bush would be the Liberals favorite Republican if it were not for the 2000 election!!!!

Yep, he’s pretty much proved to me that he might be worried about the Iraqis security, but he doesn’t give a flying flip about ours! With all the children who have been assaulted by DEPORTED illegals, the murders, etc., I’m wondering if he could be charged as a co-conspirator? Naw… If Congress would get their collective heads out of their collective asses, THEY could push for these men’s release. Nope, too busy with Barry Bonds. I could just spit fire!
