Bethel suspends 6 students following reported rape on campus

Bethel College in McKenzie has suspended six students for violating school policies following a reported rape on campus.

Walter Butler, Bethel’s director of business affairs, would not say what regulations were broken.

The incident is still under investigation by McKenzie police, school officials said.

McKenzie police officials did not respond to messages seeking comment from The Jackson Sun.

Butler said the incident occurred April 13 on the McKenzie campus.

Bethel has 1,000 students on its McKenzie campus and another 1,000 students among its five satellite locations in Memphis, Jackson, Clarksville, Nashville and Chattanooga.

Wouldn’t say what “regulations were broken”? Uh….wouldn’t that be called rape?
