Y'know, I'm not a real big fan of the POTUS for a lot of reasons, but he really should be given credit for some of the good things has accomplished. The economy didn't start it's downward trend until the Dhimmis took over Congress, so I'll give him kudos for his efforts there. But don't get me started on immigration, and how he's handled, or should I say mishandled, that!

I guess this is the reason why Congress ignored the President’s calls to:
- Reform FHA
- Strengthen the oversight on the GSEs (Fannie & Freddie)
- Expand Free Trade (an issue that the Dems have embraced in the past)
- Permitting States & Cities to issue bonds to refinance homeowners (currently only available on purchases)
- Expand Oil Supply & Refinery Capacity in our own Country
- Expand tax free Health Savings Accounts
- Making Health Care expenses Tax Free for individuals
- Reforming Medical Liability
- Permitting to buy Health Insurance across State lines
- Permitting Small Businesses or Community Organizations to group together to buy insurance at a discounted price

Congress will rather sit back and sing Iraq or whine about the economy than working with the President to get something done for the country. I don’t rate my Presidents by “Lame Duckness” but by his desire to get something done. Unfortunately, our leaders in congress will hold back many of the proposals that they’ve agreed to, out of fear that the President will get some of the credit.

In the run-up to the Iraq war in February 2003, US Secretary of State Colin Powell told the United Nations Zarqawi was an associate of Osama Bin Laden who had sought refuge in Iraq.

Intelligence reports indicated he was in Baghdad and - according to Mr Powell - this was a sure sign that Saddam Hussein was courting al-Qaeda, which, in turn, justified an attack on Iraq.

Honestly, at this point, it doesn't really matter. The 'what ifs' create an endless list, none of which either of us can change.

Who are killing the civilians? Not us, if we can help it. No, it's the people who would whack your head off, just as fast as they'd whack mine off.

Mmmm. He failed to mention the civilian casualties in Iraq, much less the fact that al Qaeda was not in Iraq until Shrub invaded it. Must have been an oversight on the author's part, I'm sure.
