I have to put part of the blame on public education. I think people choose to ignore the information that is out there, even when they are aware of it. Just easier not to actually think for themselves. They are going to find out what the "easy way" is getting them, eventually, and by then, it'll be too late for all of us.

Well, now, that’s right interesting. I know that speculators drive the price to a degree, but what I’d like to know….ok, let’s say you deal in coffee futures. When the price goes up on coffee in the futures market, we don’t see a drastic jump in prices at the grocery store. Unless, of course, that futures prices stays high, and the supply dwindles. So, why do we see it at the gas pump? I’ve wondered about this for a long time, and have never figured it out. Hmmm… Just dumb, I reckon?
