The Big Kiss Off For Clinton?

Obama, Clinton Meet at Feinstein’s Home in Washington

Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama met Thursday night at an unannounced location in Washington D.C., senior Democratic sources tell FOX News.

“Senator Obama and Senator Clinton did have occasion to meet this evening,” said Obama spokesman Robert Gibbs. “It’s the end of the primary process. They wanted to talk about bringing these campaigns together in unity.”

There are no details yet on the agenda of the meeting or who sought it, but sources tell FOX News it was taking place at the D.C. home of California Sen. Dianne Feinstein, a prominent Clinton supporter.

Gibbs would not say where the former rivals met, except that it was not at Clinton’s home in Washington.

Clinton’s campaign refused to comment on the matter.

Since Tuesday, when Obama clinched the Democratic presidential nomination, speculation has turned to who he would choose as his running mate and whether it would be Clinton.

The Clinton campaign released a statement Thursday stressing that the running-mate decision is up to Sen. Obama, and that Sen. Clinton “is not seeking the vice presidency.”

Obama has indicated he intends to take his time making a decision. On Wednesday, he named a three-person vice presidential vetting team that included Caroline Kennedy, daughter of the late President Kennedy.

If he decides on Clinton as his VP, he better make sure he’s got extra Secret Service folks around him at all times.  Not saying anything would actually happen, but…..

Seriously, I can’t imagine she’d even accept the offer.  I don’t like the woman, but I think she’s got more self respect than to accept second fiddle to a young whipper snapper like B. Hussein.

A “Child’s” Game?

From the raving moonbats down under, we get a “game” directed towards children. Well, I don’t know about you, but anything that calls itself a game really shouldn’t be telling a child “YOU SUCK”!

Oh, and by the way, I should have died at the age of 5.7 years. Welp, guess I fooled them, eh?

I heard about this on Glenn Beck and got the link from Charlie Sykes, via Whallah! Go, check it out for yourself. See how much YOU suck too. :)

A List of Things About Obama That Are Not Rumor

His wife going off on a rant about how evil “whitey” is, and conspiracies that he is a covert Muslim trying to infiltrate our democracy are nothing more than rumors…at least at this point. However, there are plenty of things the media don’t put enough focus on that are true about the Obamas.

His connection and close friendship with a corrupt crook and convicted felon.
Obama supports sex education for Kindergarten!
Obama sought the endorsement of the Marxist Party in 1996!
Obama’s embracement of appeasement.
Obama has a huge anti-gun record.
Obama may not be a Muslim, but every association with religion he has made seems to be outrageously radical!
Obama has a very bad habit of re-writing history.
Obama refuses to cut his friendship with unrepentant anti-American terrorists!
A history of terrorist fundraisers for Obama.
Obama’s ties to Kenya and his cousin Odinga.
Obama has many, many radical friends!
Many Obama lies the media will ignore.

Please add anything I left out into the comments.

If you can think of any more, go on over to Stop the ACLU and help them out. I’m coming up blank….at the moment.

‘Missing Pyramid’ Found by Egyptian Archaeologists

Egypt unveiled on Thursday a newly uncovered 4,000-year-old “missing pyramid” and a ceremonial procession road where high priests, their faces obscured by masks, once carried mummified sacred bulls worshipped in the ancient Egyptian capital of Memphis.

The pyramid was actually a “rediscovery,” said Egypt’s antiquities chief, Zahi Hawass.

It is believed to have been built by King Menkauhor, an obscure pharaoh who ruled for only eight years.

Must have done some seriously fast rock cutting and pasting. :)

Another proof of its date, Hawass says, was the discovery inside the pyramid of a gray granite lid of a sarcophagus, of the type used at that time.

The rectangular base, at the bottom of a 15 foot-deep pit dug out by workers, gives little indication of how imposing the pyramid may have once been.

Heaps of huge rocks, many still partially covered in sand and dust, mark the pyramid’s walls and entrance, and a burial chamber was discovered inside.

Archaeologists have also not found a cartouche — a pharaoh’s name in hieroglyphs — of the pyramid’s owner. But Hawass said that, based on the estimated dating of the pyramid, he was convinced it belonged to Menkauhor.

Hawass still gets on my nerves. Don’t ask me why, I have no idea. He just does. But, he is a hell of an archaeologist.

A Minor Rant

5 June 2008, 4:09 pm. 2 Comments. Filed under Opinion.

I’m not a big GWB fan these days, but ‘toons like this really annoy the bejabbers out of me!

Now, you ask, “Why does it annoy you?” Ok, even you aren’t asking, I’ll tell you anyway. Until 2 years ago, when the Dhimmis took over, we were in rather good financial shape as a nation. Granted, the Pubbies were spending just as badly as the Dhimmis, and that needed to stop, and the Pubbies lost the House and the Senate. Of course, the reckless spending hasn’t stopped, but I’ll be damned if I can’t think of ANYTHING positive this Congress has done.

If you tell me they passed that “minimum wage” bill, I think I’ll smack you! Ok, maybe not, but the thought it still there, so watch it! With that wage hike, came increased costs! That hike solved NOTHING, other than to make a few folks feel good about themselves!

Then, you have the “housing crisis”. I dunno, but it seems to me that if you are stupid enough to buy into the “Yes, you CAN afford that million dollar house on your salary of $30,000 a year!”, then you SHOULD be losing the house to foreclosure cuz you could NOT afford that house at all!

Have you gotten your “stimulus check” yet? We haven’t, but it’s no big deal, and I wish the hell someone had suggested using all that money to PAY DOWN THE FREAKIN’ NATIONAL DEBT! Is common sense TOTALLY LOST in D.C.? Yeah, Bush was all for it, but honestly, I think the man’s brain is worn out from battling the weasels in Congress, and he’s trying to make nice. Although, if he had been a REAL conservative, he would have used that veto pen long before 2006!

Iraq has become a big issue, obviously. Yeah, I’d love to “bring the troops home now!” With a VICTORY! And yes, there has been a lot of wasteful spending on that war. Blame Iraqi politicians and the idjits that keep allowing them to suck the American taxpayer dry. Their oil fields are back in production, and THEY should be paying to rebuild their schools, hospitals, etc. They should also be paying back the previous mentioned American taxpayer….that would be you and me….for freeing them from a murderous dictator, and keeping them safe from even more murderous terrorists. Young men and women lay their lives on the line every day to protect them, and yet what do we get? A few thanks from the Kurds, and bumpkus from the rest. Well, y’all can you ungrateful slime balls. As much as I’d like to leave them to the roadside bombs and dull knife beheadings, this would just put our interests in more danger as it would embolden the martyr wannabes.

So, yes, cartoons like this one annoy me. As much as the left would like to believe the President of the United States is all powerful, and can control EVERYTHING, he can’t. I am fairly glad Bush can’t run for re-election, but I’m none too thrilled with the direction that Congress has taken us either. And God help us if B. Hussein ever occupies the White House, with a Dhimmi controlled House and Senate, because cartoons like this one will be accurate!

An Offer From Michael Yon

5 June 2008, 3:38 pm. Comments Off. Filed under Iraq, Senate.

I wonder if any of them will take him up on his offer?

An Open Offer to U.S. Senators

Whatever we do in Iraq from here forward, we must strive to make better decisions than those made between 2003 and 2006. And one way to achieve that is by making certain that our civilian leaders are fully informed. All three candidates for President are extremely intelligent, but that doesn’t mean that all three are tracking the truth on the ground in Iraq. Anyone who wants to be President of the United States needs to see Iraq without the distorting lenses of the media or partisan politics. I would be honored to visit Iraq with Senator Obama, Senator Clinton, Senator McCain or any of their Senate colleagues.

I hereby offer to accompany any Senator to Iraq, whether they are pro-or anti-war, Democrat or Republican. I will make this offer personally to a few select Senators as well. Our conversations during the visit would be on- or off-record, as they wish. Touring Iraq with me, as well as briefings by U.S. officers and meetings with Iraqis, would provide an accurate and nuanced account of the progress and challenges ahead, so that the Senators might have a highly informed perspective on this most critical issue. Our civilian leaders need to make decisions based on the best information available. The only way to learn what is really going on in Iraq is to go there and listen to our ground commanders, who know what they are doing. Generals Petraeus and Odierno have years of experience in Iraq, and vast knowledge of our efforts there. But the young soldiers who have done multiple tours in Iraq also have unique and invaluable perspectives as well. These young soldiers have personally witnessed the trajectory of the war shift dramatically, and can articulate those changes in concrete and specific terms. It doesn’t matter if a soldier is only twenty-something. If he or she spent two or three years in the war, that person is likely to have valuable insights. The best way to understand what is really going on is to listen closely to a wide range of service members who have done multiple tours in Iraq. Some will be negative, some will be positive, but overall I am certain that the vast majority of multi-tour Iraq veterans will testify that there has been great progress, and now there is hope. Combat veterans don’t tolerate happy talk or wishful thinking. They’ll tell you the raw truth as they see it.

John McFeingold probably would. I think even the Shrilldebeast would consider it, although, no doubt, she’d have to dodge the sniper fire. B. Hussein? Well…..only if it would garner him some votes, and as long as he was totally surrounded by a large contingent of Marines. I’m afraid his opportunity for any respect from me is long past. He could join the military today, and I’d still consider him a “piece of……”.

Yes, my overly amorous evil fowl dropped by for a visit. He usually shows up in the morning, while I’m trying to get both eyes open with a large pot of coffee, dressed in jammies, and in NO mood to deal with the feathered invader.

I noticed a shadow outside the kitchen window. I had the shade pulled down to cut the heat from the sun coming through the glass. Yes, boys and girls, that ol’ sun produced……KITCHEN WARMING!

I thought it was probably a leaf blowing, until I saw those “feet”. sigh… Mr Spot evidently had to check out the action as well.

By the time I got my shoes on to discuss the matter with Mr Peacock, he was heading back towards home. Oh well, at least I got a few weeds pulled while keeping an eye out for his return.

Medal of Honor winner Lucas dies at 80

Jack Lucas, who at 14 lied his way into military service during World War II and became the youngest Marine to receive the Medal of Honor, died Thursday in a Hattiesburg, Miss., hospital. He was 80.

Now days, 14 years old are lying their way out of some trouble or other.

Jacklyn “Jack” Lucas was just six days past his 17th birthday in February 1945 when his heroism at Iwo Jima earned him the nation’s highest military honor. He used his body to shield three fellow squad members from two grenades, and was nearly killed when one exploded.

I know there are young men and women of honor, but we just don’t hear about them anymore. Instead, our newspapers and tv’s are filled with stories and images of those who wouldn’t walk across the street to spit on a soldier if he/she were on fire. Shameful.

He was left with more than 250 pieces of shrapnel in his body and in every major organ and endured 26 surgeries in the months after Iwo Jima.

He was the youngest serviceman to win the Medal of Honor in any conflict other than the Civil War.

His youth made him a news item. But I have no doubt this man would have done the same thing if he were 10 years older at the time. A true man of honor and courage.

As Texas Fred said: Attention on Deck! A real American Hero has passed from this earth, Heaven has a new Marine protecting the Gates…

It is a virus which opens A POSTCARD IMAGE, which ‘burns’ the whole hard disc (C drive) of your computer. This virus will be received from someone who has your e-mail address in his/her contact list. This is the reason why you need to send this e-mail to all your contacts. It is better to receive this message 25 times than to receive the virus and open it.

If you receive a mail called’ POSTCARD,’ even though sent to you by a friend, do not open it.! This includes all cards, too. Shut down your computer immediately.

This is the worst virus announced by CNN. It has been classified by Microsoft as the most destructive virus ever.

This virus was discovered by McAfee yesterday, and there is no repair yet for this kind of virus. This virus simply destroys the Zero Sector of the Hard Disc, where your vital information is kept.

New Intel Committee Report

I have worked in or with every Congress since 1970 and it is now clear that Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi continue to preside over the worst Congress in living memory. This is particularly true in the most serious area a legislator must tackle: national security. No intelligence bill has been passed, now for the second straight year. The FISA reform bill, the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act, continues to be bottled up. And the prospect of a Defense Authorization bill becoming law is also bleak. On the most important duty they are sworn to do — provide for the common defense — the Democratic leadership is AWOL.

Occasionally, it’s a good thing when those who are the “law makers” do nothing. This isn’t one of those times! The Dhimmis were voted into office, with the idea they’d actually do something concerning our national security, which is what their job actually entails. They have done NOTHING to ensure the security of this nation! Is it truly their intent to destroy one of the greatest nations history has ever known? With a B. Hussein, they will ensure such a destruction. Leadership is non existent!

As the Vice Chairman of the Committee, Senator Bond, and his colleagues Burr, Chambliss and Hatch have noted, the report — highly politicized as it is — concludes “Statements by the President, Vice President, Secretary of State and the National Security Adviser regarding a possible Iraq1 nuclear weapons programs were generally substantiated by intelligence community estimates”, (p.15); “statements in the major speeches analyzed regarding Iraqi ballistic missiles were generally supported by available intelligence”(p. 57); “intelligence reporting highlights more than a decade of contacts between the Iraqi Government and al-Qa’ida based on shared anti-US goals and Bin laden’s interest in unconventional weapons…” (p. 63); “statements…regarding Iraq’s support for terrorist groups…were substantiated by intelligence information”, (p.71); and “statements that Iraq provided safe haven for …al-Zarqawi and other al-Qa’ida-related terrorists…and regarding Iraq’s contacts with al-Qa’ida…were substantiated by intelligence estimates”, (p.71).

But the report, despite stating the obvious that intelligence conclusions prior to the liberation of Iraq were flawed, spends considerable time denouncing the idea that Saddam Hussein had any connection to either terrorism or terrorist groups, especially al-Qa’ida. The report concludes that Saddam never “considered using terrorist groups to attack the United States.”

Obviously, this morning’s headlines were very misleading. Even I was sucked in. That pisses me off.

When the Senate report actually substantiates the the previous intelligence reports, why spend so much time denouncing it? BDS! Plain and simple. The Dhimmi led Senate would rather see the destruction of the Republican president, than Islamofascism.  Even if Saddam wasn’t plotting against the U.S. directly, on our soil, he evidently supported hits on our people.

According to documents revealed after the initial liberation of Iraq, and compiled by the Institute for Defense Analysis recently, and summarized by Eli Lake in the New York Post, “In the same year, Saddam ordered his intelligence service to ‘form a group to start hunting Americans present on Arab soil; especially Somalia.’ At the time, Al Qaeda was working with warlords against American forces there. Saddam’s intelligence services maintained extensive support networks for a wide range of Palestinian Arab terrorist organizations, including but not limited to Hamas. Among the other Palestinian groups Saddam supported at the time was Force 17, the private army loyal to Yasser Arafat.”

Saddam is no longer, personally, a threat to the U.S. in Somalia, an aid to Hamas, or any other terrorist organization that seeks the destruction of Western civilization. THAT mission IS accomplished!

Read the rest of the column for yourself.

Personally, if this current batch of weasels are allowed to rewrite even more history, the future of our nation is seriously in the tank!

Obama Was Selected, Not Elected

Words mean nothing to liberals. They say whatever will help advance their cause at the moment, switch talking points in a heartbeat, and then act indignant if anyone uses the exact same argument they were using five minutes ago.

When Gore won the popular vote in the 2000 election by half a percentage point, but lost the Electoral College — or, for short, “the constitutionally prescribed method for choosing presidents” — anyone who denied the sacred importance of the popular vote was either an idiot or a dangerous partisan.

But now Hillary has won the popular vote in a Democratic primary, while Obambi has won under the rules. In a spectacular turnabout, media commentators are heaping sarcasm on our plucky Hillary for imagining the “popular vote” has any relevance whatsoever.

It’s the exact same situation as in 2000, with Hillary in the position of Gore and Obama in the position of Bush. The only difference is: Hillary has a much stronger argument than Gore ever did (and Hillary’s more of a man than Gore ever was).

Unbeknownst to liberals, who seem to imagine the Constitution is a treatise on gay marriage, our Constitution sets forth rules for the election of a president. Under the Constitution that has led to the greatest individual liberty, prosperity and security ever known to mankind, Americans have no constitutional right to vote for president, at all. (Don’t fret Democrats: According to five liberals on the Supreme Court, you do have a right to sodomy and abortion!)

Americans certainly have no right to demand that their vote prevail over the electors’ vote.

Guantanamo 9/11 suspects on trial

The alleged mastermind of the 9/11 attacks on the US and four other key suspects are appearing at a military tribunal in Guantanamo Bay.

Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, appearing in public for the first time since his capture in Pakistan in 2003, refused the help of lawyers to defend him.

He told the court he wanted the death sentence sought by the prosecution as he wished to become a martyr.

I’d be more than happy to help him get his wish! As a matter of fact, I think the whole lot of them should be “martyred”!

Jury selection begins in homeless man’s death

Thomas Daugherty, 19, and Brian Hooks, 20, sat quietly in the courtroom Thursday morning dressed in dark suits instead of prison garb awaiting a chance to see the people who could decide their fate.

Both are charged with first-degree murder and attempted murder in the Jan. 12, 2006, beatings of three men in Fort Lauderdale.

Norris Gaynor, 45, died after he was beaten with baseball bats at Esplanade Park.

For the life of me, I can’t understand the mindset of such kids. It’s one thing to defend yourself, or seek justice, legally. It’s another thing to just blatantly disregard life.

U.S. Embassy Says U.S., British Diplomats Attacked in Zimbabwe

“The war veterans threatened to burn the vehicles with my people inside unless they got out of the vehicles and accompanied the police to a station nearby,” McGee said, saying he was in touch with the group by mobile phone.

He said five Americans, four Britons and three Zimbabweans were in the three-car convoy.

The opposition and rights groups have accused Mugabe of orchestrating violence and intimidation in the run-up to a June 27 presidential runoff.

I’d say that pretty much clinches it….threatening envoys, no matter what country they are from, is a threat of violence on the part of the “officials”. Are we going to have to smack them down too? Jeeez! What is wrong with people?

Police spokesman Wayne Bvudzijena denied security agents had threatened the diplomats, saying instead that police were trying to rescue them from a threatening mob.

“It’s unfortunate when diplomats behave like criminals and distort information,” Bvudzijena said. “It is a very sad situation.”

Uh, yeah……right.

Same-sex wedding date may move up to June 16

San Francisco officials have asked the state for permission to begin marrying same-sex couples a little earlier than scheduled, on the evening of June 16 instead of the morning of June 17.

Mayor Gavin Newsom and other city officials are wondering when the state Supreme Court ruling allowing same-sex nuptials actually takes effect. The state has told county clerks the ruling kicks in the morning of June 17. But city officials want to know whether they can legally begin to issue the marriage licenses at 5:01 p.m. June 16 – right after the end of the state’s workday.

The names Sodom and Gomorrah come to mind.

Bush ignored doubts on Iraq arms: Senate report

The Senate Intelligence committee said in a study that major administration statements on Iraq before the March 2003 U.S.-led invasion in most cases were substantiated by available U.S. intelligence, but that they failed to reflect internal debate over those findings.

It also said that Bush administration statements that Iraq had a partnership with al Qaeda and provided it with weapons training were unsupported by intelligence.

I guess those pictures taken in Iraq of the training camp were faked by the same people who faked the moon landing, right? Given the control of this particular Senate, I’m more inclined to believe the Brits intelligence than theirs.

Obama’s new DNC: No lobbyist money

The Democratic National Committee this morning will be announcing it will no longer take donations from registered federal lobbyists and PACs, consistent with Sen. Barack Obama’s policy.

Mr. Obama today will announce the change — a policy that has helped boost his own candidacy and raise grassroots money.

Well yeah, after he’s gotten all the big bucks, it’s ok to say “no” to lobbyists. Pfft! Does this mean that he can’t attend a fund raiser given by a lobbyist? Or that a lobbyist is attending as a guest? Or that Washington D.C. will now have some prime real estate up for sale because there are no more lobbyists? Hmmm….

Ahmadinejad Invites Japan to Prepare for a World Without the US

Fukuda’s spokesman, Kasuo Kodama, said the prime minister had urged Ahmadinejad to comply with U.N. Security Council resolutions on halting uranium enrichment.

The official Iranian news agency, Irna, had a different take on the encounter, saying Ahmadinejad had told Fukuda that U.S. domination was in decline. “Iran and Japan as two civilized and influential nations should get ready for a world minus the U.S.,” he said.

Ahmadinejad said “enemies” did not want Iran and Japan to work together, but it was time for the two countries to plan for long-term cooperation.

I don’t know about you, but that sure does sound like a threat to me.

Leaders Change the Subject at Food Aid Conference

The United States’ agriculture secretary, Ed Schafer, talked about the benefits of biofuels and genetically modified crops. Brazil’s president, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, spoke for half an hour about how Brazilian biofuels were superior to American ones. Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, the president of Iran, talked about the need to inject religion into food politics.

Good grief! Biofuels and religion? Are they freakin’ kidding? Preening for the cameras doesn’t feed one single hungry child!

Qaeda Group Says It Bombed Embassy

A Qaeda operative based in Afghanistan claimed responsibility for a suicide bombing outside the Danish Embassy in Islamabad, according to a posting on jihadist Web sites, saying the attack was in revenge for the publication of cartoons caricaturing the Prophet Muhammad in Danish newspapers.

So, it’s “Qaeda” now? Not al-Qaeda? Just how long ago were those cartoons published? Well, check this out MO!
