Is anyone else’s Google reader not updating?  According to what I’m getting no one has posted a thing since last night.  Now, you and I both know that that just isn’t humanly possible for a blogger.  Well, some, yes, who don’t post on a regular basis.

I’m talking about the whole state of Tennessee, the state of Wisconsin, and numerous national type blogs.

So, what’s up with that?  Did I piss off Google?  :/

I Have Issues With This

13 June 2008, 9:07 pm. 9 Comments. Filed under Congress, Feckless Weasels, Moonbats & Other Animals.

I have looked at this news item several times today, and honestly, I’m at amazed at the continuing gall of the Dhimmis in Congress.

Homosexuality takes Congress by storm

The two openly homosexual members of the U.S. House of Representatives have recruited 50 of their colleagues to officially join them in promoting the homosexual agenda in Congress.

Democrats Barney Frank of Massachusetts and Tammy Baldwin of Wisconsin are the only open homosexuals serving in Congress. They have joined with Republicans Ileana Ros-Lehtinen of Florida and Christopher Shays of Connecticut, and 50 other Democrats to create the House Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgender Caucus. Peter LaBarbera, president of Americans for Truth About Homosexuality, says it is a sad day when Congress enshrines official promotion of sexual immorality.

Frank and Baldwin? No surprise there at all. Disgusting, but not surprising. What is surprising are the two so called Republicans. Is it any wonder that evangelical Christians are leaving the party in droves?

“I think what this shows is that the hard-core Democratic Left is extremely pro-homosexual,” he states. “Big city populations have many homosexual activists, and they’re disproportionately powerful compared to the rest of the people in the district. Do I think that the average person in the district knows that these members are promoting homosexuality in this way? No way! But there are probably powerful homosexual constituencies in each one of these districts,” LaBarbera explains.

Leftist Dhimmis “pro-homosexual”? Gee, ya think? Shoving an agenda into public schools, trying to force “hate speech” legislature through, without ever considering the consequences? Yeah, I’d say they were extremely PRO on that front.

Here’s the list of our elected officials who have joined in this so called “caucus”:

Tammy Baldwin (D-WI), Barney Frank (D-MA), Rob Andrews (D-NJ), Xavier Becerra (D-CA), Lois Capps (D-CA), Yvette Clarke (D-NY), Joseph Crowley (D-NY), Diana DeGette (D-CO), Keith Ellison (D-MN), Raúl Grijalva (D-AZ), Mike Honda (D-CA), Barbara Lee (D-CA), James McGovern (D-MA), Jerrold Nadler (D-NY), Linda Sánchez (D-CA), Jan Schakowsky (D-IL), Hilda Solis (D-CA), Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-FL), Henry Waxman (D-CA), Anthony Weiner (D-NY), Peter Welch (D-VT), Howard Berman (D-CA), Earl Blumenauer (D-OR), Robert Brady (D-PA), Michael Capuano (D-MA), Susan Davis (D-CA), Rosa DeLauro (D-CT), Eliot Engel (D-NY), Anna Eshoo (D-CA), Luis Gutierrez (D-IL), Phil Hare (D-IL), Rush Holt (D-NJ), Sheila Jackson Lee (D-TX), Eddie Bernice Johnson (D-TX), Patrick Kennedy (D-RI), Dennis Kucinich (D-OH), Zoe Lofgren (D-CA), Carolyn Maloney (D-NY), Doris Matsui (D-CA), James Moran (D-VA), Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-Washington, D.C.), Frank Pallone (D-NJ), Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (R-FL), Steven Rothman (D-NJ), José Serrano (D-NY), Chris Shays (R-CT), Pete Stark (D-CA), Betty Sutton (D-OH), Ellen Tauscher (D-CA), Niki Tsongas (D-MA), Robert Wexler (D-FL), Lynn Woolsey (D-CA).

A Couple of Flood Shots

Here are just two pictures of the flooding going on in Waupun right now:

This is the cemetery where my in laws are buried.

We think this is from the bridge near the Mill Pond.  We know there is a flag near the cemetery where the End of the Trails statue is, but even the Mr, who spent his entire life in Waupun isn’t really sure.

NBC Washington Bureau Chief Tim Russert Dies at 58

NBC Washington Bureau Chief Tim Russert and has died, NBC reported Friday.

Russert reportedly died of a heart attack. He was 58.

A noticeably shaken Tom Brokaw made the announcement live from New York, saying his colleague collapsed and died at work in the NBC News bureau in Washington.

Brokaw said Russert had just returned from a trip with his wife and son, who had just graduated Boston College.

“He has been a very familiar face on this network and throughout the world of political journalism,” Brokaw said, calling him “one of the premiere journalists of our time.”

I will be honest, I refrain from watching the “alphabets” (ABC, NBC, CBS) but Mr. Russert was one I could watch.  He was fair to both sides of the aisle, and he will definitely be missed!

Rest in peace sir.

U.S. is taking lead in 10-billion dollar global warming fund

Although there is growing skepticism over the reality of global warming, U.S. Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson today urged other Group of Eight industrialized nations to back a special fund of up to $10 billion to help developing countries fight the alleged trend.

Paulson appeared with his counterparts from Japan and Britain, and World Bank Group President Robert Zoellick, to encourage G-8 nations to back the Climate Investment Funds.

“None of us in the world are going to solve this problem unless we deal with it here,” Paulson told reporters at the two-day finance ministers’ meeting, which opened Friday and will also address soaring oil and food prices.

So what if there is scientific proof to the contrary!  What does it matter if the computer generated “charts” were manipulated?  What difference does it make that albore has been proven a large lying sack of male bovine manure?

“We da’ gubmint! We gonna do whuts we wants wid yo money!”

A REALLY Old Tree

13 June 2008, 12:53 pm. Comments Off. Filed under History, Science.

Tree Grown From Ancient Seed Found in Jewish Fortress

Scientists have grown a tree from what may be the oldest seed ever germinated.

The new sapling was sprouted from a 2,000-year-old date palm excavated in Masada, the site of a cliff-side fortress in Israel where ancient Jews are said to have killed themselves to avoid capture by Roman invaders.

Dubbed the “Methuselah Tree” after the oldest person in the Bible, the new plant has been growing steadily, and after 26 months, the tree was nearly four feet (1.2 meters) tall.

The species of tree, called the Judean date, (Phoenix dactylifera L.), is now extinct in Israel, but researchers are hoping that by reviving the plant they may be able to study its medicinal uses.

“The medicinal plants from this region are very important because they are historically mentioned in the Bible and the Koran,” said Sarah Sallon, director of the Louis L. Borick Natural Medicine Research Center at the Hadassah Medical Organization in Jerusalem, which initiated the experiment to grow the tree as part of its Middle East Medicinal Plant Project.

“The Judean date was very valuable and very famous, not just as a source of food but as a source of medicine,” Sallon said. “When I heard there were ancient seeds found in the archeological dig, I thought it would be interesting to see if we could try to grow them.”

How way cool is that?

Methuselah, the resurrected Judean date palm, at 26 months and nearly four feet.

A Moon-God?

13 June 2008, 11:15 am. 32 Comments. Filed under History, Religion of Pieces.

While looking for something else, I saw a link to this page: Allah – the Moon God

I find it rather interesting that no one ever talks about the archaeological history of Islam. And reading through this page, dated, 1997-1998, I’m fairly sure I know why now. I can’t verify the accuracy of the statements made here, but I do know it does bring up some interesting points.

For example:

The religion of Islam has as its focus of worship a deity by the name of “Allah.” The Muslims claim that Allah in pre-Islamic times was the biblical God of the Patriarchs, prophets, and apostles. The issue is thus one of continuity. Was “Allah” the biblical God or a pagan god in Arabia during pre- Islamic times? The Muslim’s claim of continuity is essential to their attempt to convert Jews and Christians for if “Allah” is part of the flow of divine revelation in Scripture, then it is the next step in biblical religion. Thus we should all become Muslims. But, on the other hand, if Allah was a pre- Islamic pagan deity, then its core claim is refuted.

Hmmm….. So, are the Muslims not actually worshiping God, as the Jews and Christians know Him?

Archaeologists have uncovered temples to the Moon-god throughout the Middle East

A moon-god? Well, that certainly puts things in a different light, doesn’t it.

This fact answers the questions, “Why is Allah never defined in the Qur’an? Why did Muhammad assume that the pagan Arabs already knew who Allah was?” Muhammad was raised in the religion of the Moon-god Allah. But he went one step further than his fellow pagan Arabs. While they believed that Allah, i.e. the Moon-god, was the greatest of all gods and the supreme deity in a pantheon of deities, Muhammad decided that Allah was not only the greatest god but the only god.

So, is what this is telling me is that 3000 people died on 9/11 for a flippin’ MOON-GOD????? Have countless others been forced in to worship of an IDOL, or die?

In effect he said, “Look, you already believe that the Moon-god Allah is the greatest of all gods. All I want you to do is to accept that the idea that he is the only god. I am not taking away the Allah you already worship. I am only taking away his wife and his daughters and all the other gods.”

Mohamed took away the family, and left the ‘daddy’ for his followers to worship. I suppose that would explain the oppression of women in Islam?

This is seen from the fact that the first point of the Muslim creed is not, “Allah is great” but “Allah is the greatest,” i.e., he is the greatest among the gods.

Sorry, no, he’s not. He’s a statue, and statues mean nothing!

Dr. Newman concludes his study of the early Christian-Muslim debates by stating, “Islam proved itself to be…a separate and antagonistic religion which had sprung up from idolatry.” Islamic scholar Caesar Farah concluded “There is no reason, therefore, to accept the idea that Allah passed to the Muslims from the Christians and Jews.”

If the basis of Islam is an idol, then they have no right, as they claim, to the land given to the Isaelites God! They have no rights to Jerusalem, and they surely have NO right to push their religion down OUR throats.

CONCLUSION

The pagan Arabs worshipped the Moon-god Allah by praying toward Mecca several times a day; making a pilgrimage to Mecca; running around the temple of the Moon-god called the Kabah; kissing the black stone; killing an animal in sacrifice to the Moon-god; throwing stones at the devil; fasting for the month which begins and ends with the crescent moon; giving alms to the poor, etc.

The Muslim’s claim that Allah is the God of the Bible and that Islam arose from the religion of the prophets and apostles is refuted by solid, overwhelming archeological evidence. Islam is nothing more than a revival of the ancient Moon-god cult. It has taken the symbols, the rites, the ceremonies, and even the name of its god from the ancient pagan religion of the Moon-god. As such, it is sheer idolatry and must be rejected by all those who follow the Torah and Gospel.

This all leads me to ask: Was the murderous pedophile trying to emulate the Jews and Christians in the believe of One True God, by forcing his neighbors to follow him with the intent of destroying all others? I’ve often wondered why the Muslims seem to put Mohamed in the forefront, instead of God. Now, I think I’m beginning to understand.

Biofuels Are Indefensible in Our Hungry World
By PETER BRABECK-LETMATHE

The world’s agriculture and water crisis is only going to get worse. As China and India grow, their populations are demanding more and wider varieties of food stuffs, and competition for arable land is intensifying. Food prices are rising, in large part because agriculture suppliers can barely keep up with today’s demand. So what is the world doing? Reorienting land away from food production and toward plants cultivated for energy needs.

South Carolina to Become First State to Issue ‘I Believe’ (in Jesus) License Plates

South Carolina’s lieutenant governor announced Thursday that he is willing to put up $4,000 of his own money so his state can become the first in the nation to issue “I Believe” license plates with the image of a cross and a stained glass window.

The legislation allowing the plates was one of several religious-themed bills to became laws in the closing days of the state’s legislative session.

I don’t see why anyone would have a problem with a person professing their faith on their license plate, that THEY paid for.

The bills mean South Carolinians attending local government meetings could soon see the Ten Commandments and the Lord’s Prayer posted on walls, pray without fear of being sued and drive home in cars with the “I Believe” plates.

If the Ten Commandments were good enough for Moses and the Israelites, they should be good enough to hang in a courtroom! We are, or at least were, a nation based on Judeo-Christian values after all!

Civil rights groups are considering lawsuits. An attorney for the New York-based American Jewish Congress, Mark Stern, said the bills are an obvious endorsement of religion by legislators in an election year. His group is looking to sue over the plates.

Why would some Yankee give a flip what a South Carolinian has on their license plate? I’m fairly sure if he wanted to put a Star of David on his, it would be protected too! Get over yourself! No, it’s NOT an endorsement by legislators of a religion…it’s an endorsement of freedom OF religion.

“I’m all about freedom of speech,” Bauer said.

But he also said the religious bills are efforts to push back against the American Civil Liberties Union and other groups perceived as threatening South Carolinians’ beliefs and traditions.

I’m of the mind if we, as a nation, hadn’t allowed the ACLU types to brow beat us into allowing their anti-faith agenda, we wouldn’t see a lot of the problems we are having now, in schools, on the streets, and even in Congress!

In my book, Lt. Gov. Andre Bauer is a hero!

Effort to make English official language revived

The movement to make English Nashville’s official language is alive again, 14 months after a mayoral veto ended the last effort.

This time, a group identified only as NashvilleEnglish-First.com has begun to circulate a postcard-based petition drive to place an “English only” measure on the Nov. 4 ballot. The measure would alter the Metro charter, make English Metro’s official language and limit all government business, publications and meetings to the English language unless such measures would violate federal or state law.

If I lived in Nashville, I’d sign that puppy in a heartbeat! It SHOULD be our national language, but there are too many pandering to folks who seem to be too flippin’ lazy to learn the language and assimilate into society.

Stay out of water, basements

Residents who have water in their basements are being told to leave it alone.

“Just stay out of your basement,” said Fond du Lac County Emergency Management Director Erin Gerred.

Gerred is also warning people to stay out of standing water.

“Stay away from floodwaters, from catch basins, culverts, ditches,” she said. “This is not something you should be swimming in. The water standing throughout Fond du Lac has been contaminated by fecal matter. Stay out of it.”

Now I know there are a LOT of folks up there in Wisconsin who have a lot of stuff in their basements. I can’t imagine any of them just leaving it alone. Remember, it’s just stuff! Stuff can be replaced. And think about it, if you really needed it, why would it be stored in the basement? Unless, like my sister in law and her family, it’s a beautiful finished room with a HUGE TV. Now, that would be a pain. Here’s hoping it stops soon, and y’all dry out, keeping the mold to a minimum!

State lets Islamic school operate
Officials say Saudi institute will revise violent textbooks

State Department officials said Thursday they have no plans to close a Saudi-financed Islamic school in Northern Virginia that has failed to eliminate violent and intolerant language in textbooks.

“They told us they would revise the textbooks by the 2008 school year,” State Department spokesman Rob McInturff said. “We don’t plan to take additional action apart from the discussions that have been going on with the Saudi government.”

You’ve got a school that is teaching kids it’s ok to kill Jews and Christians, yet the State Department is basically giving them a pass? What is wrong with this picture!!!!! “They told us……” so you believe them. HEY MORONS! It’s also OK for Muslims to LIE to “infidels”! Jeeeez.

‘Blast result of jihad op preparation’

Hamas’s military wing, Izzadin Kassam, said Friday that the previous day’s deadly blast in the northern Gaza town of Beit Lahiya was caused by an accident as operatives were “preparing for a special jihad operation.”

Eight people, including an infant girl, were killed in the powerful explosion, which flattened the home of a Hamas operative.

After Hamas initially blamed Israel for the blast, the IDF immediately said that that was not caused by an Israeli attack but was rather a “work accident,” most likely caused by terrorists’ faulty handling of explosives.

Also killed in the explosion were the finance director in the Hamas Interior Ministry – who was also a member of Izzadin Kassam – a commander of the Hamas anti-aircraft unit and a commander of the group’s rocket manufacturing unit, Israel Radio reported.

Rockets began to fly shortly after the blast, with more than 50 mortar shells, Kassam and Katyusha rockets fired into Israel.

Rather reminds me of that line from the ugly alien in Independence Day…..“Peace? No peace.” And it then explains that all would die. That was just a movie. This is real life and death. The Pallies don’t want peace. They want Israel totally destroyed.

Irish Voters Appear to Reject European Treaty

In a stunning setback for efforts to reform Europe’s unwieldy institutions, a senior Irish official said Friday that voters had rejected a revised European Union treaty designed to change the way the bloc governs itself and presents itself to the world.

If that outcome is confirmed in official results, it will mean that the 27-member bloc will be in turmoil, its latest attempt to reform stymied by less than one percent of its population of almost 500 million.

I say good on the Irish! That EU nonsense was a major blunder and it’s been in “turmoil” from the start!

UNICEF Partners With Islamic Charity Linked to Terror Groups

An Islamic charity with ties to Al Qaeda and the Taliban is now collaborating with an unlikely new partner: UNICEF, the United Nations’ Children’s Fund.

UNICEF has signed a “memorandum of understanding” with the International Islamic Relief Organization (IIRO), a Saudi charity of massive scope that keeps branches in more than 20 countries and has over 100 offices worldwide.

According to UNICEF, it will be teaming with the charity’s domestic Saudi branch to “promote children’s rights, health, equality and education,” in the oil-rich kingdom — but the organization has been doing more than just charity work.

Gee. What a shocker! A Useless Numnuts organization signs on with terrorists. Who’da thunk it! (insert MASSIVE sarcasm here)

US should buy food aid from developing world, says First Lady

US First Lady Laura Bush has urged US Congress to support her husband President George W. Bush’s proposal to purchase up to 25 percent of US food assistance directly from farmers in the developing world.

“As the United States increases its food assistance, we must also change the way it’s delivered,” said Laura Bush in a speech on Thursday at the Rome-based headquarters of the United Nations’ World Food Programme.

She said that the high cost of fuel and transport was making it more expensive and difficult to deliver food aid.

No offense, Mrs. Bush, but wouldn’t it be nice if folks right here on the home ground bought food that was actually grown here? We’re having a pretty tough time too at the moment! If so much of the farmland hadn’t been given over to production of ethanol, perhaps there wouldn’t be a “crisis” in the rest of the world? Just a thought. Oh, and DRILL HERE! DRILL NOW! And while you’re at it, start building refineries and nuclear power plants!

Study sees discrepancies in VA care for men, women

Women veterans aren’t receiving the same quality of outpatient care as men at many Department of Veterans Affairs’ facilities, according to an agency review obtained exclusively by The Associated Press.

The review appears to validate the complaints of advocates and some members of Congress who have said the health care system needs to focus more on women’s health.

Women make up about 5 percent of the VA’s population, but that number is expected to nearly double in the next two years as more women return home from Iraq and Afghanistan and seek care.

Y’know, I’m one of those “sexists” who don’t believe women should be in combat. That being said, I’m also one of those people who believes that since they are there, they are serving in the military in various roles, they damn well better get the care they deserve from their government! Stop screwing around with our veterans! THEY are the reason you asswipes are able to sit up there on that “Hill”, and you better not EVER forget it!
