First gay ‘wedding’: All eyes on Archbishop of Canterbury

The Church’s first gay wedding – between two priests – has outraged conservatives and could yet force an irreversible schism.

The Church of England’s first homosexual wedding could not have come at a worse time for the Archbishop of Canterbury, Dr Rowan Williams.

A breakaway group of conservative Anglican archbishops meets this week, threatening to split the worldwide communion over the issue of homosexuality, and the 10?yearly Lambeth Conference starts next month. The future of the 80 million-strong Anglican Communion hangs by one of Dr Williams’s whiskers.

Anglicans in Africa and Asia are infuriated enough with the liberal North American churches, where openly homosexual clergy and church blessings for same-sex couples are now commonplace. But the news that two male priests used a traditional wedding liturgy, involving the exchange of rings and vows, in a Church of England church could push them to the edge.

I see an even larger split coming between churches.  Those that actually follow the Bible, and those who have forgotten why they are in “business”.

Leviticus 18:22 Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.

Isn’t it bad enough we have politicians pushing such an agenda without PRIESTS, who are suppose to know better, pushing it as well.  I’m sorry, wrong is wrong!  And I cannot accept this as normal.  It’s not!

    As long as we’re quoting scriptures regarding the sick state of the world, one of the most poignant passages which aptly describes our society is written by Paul and is found in the book of Romans in chapter 1: 17-32.  These verses are no doubt banned in Canada and may soon  be banned here. They cover the gamut of Darwinism, radical environmentalism and homosexuality.  It’s up to the minute commentary on today’s sorry state of affairs.  It’s scripture such as these that foment such viceral hate for God, the Bible and Christianity. They can’t handle the truth which is why the left seeks to silence and/or criminalize such harsh criticism of their Godless lifestyle.

    Buckle up…it’s going to be a bumpy ride from here on out!

    “Anything living in the water that does not have fins or scales is to be detestable to you” (Leviticus 11:12).

    So why no outrage about seafood restauraunts as well?

    @ZOG:

    I don’t like seafood. And yeah, I do have some outrage at other things.
