Copper Wire
After having dug to a depth of 10 feet last year, New York scientists found traces of a copper-wire system dating back 100 years, and they came to the conclusion that their ancestors already had a telephone network more than 100 years ago.
Not to be outdone by New Yorkers, in the weeks that followed, California scientists dug to a depth of 20 feet, and shortly after, headlines in the LA Times newspaper read: ‘California archaeologists have found traces of 200 year old copper-wire system and have concluded that their ancestors already had an advanced high-tech communications network a hundred years earlier than the New Yorkers.’
One week later, ‘The Redneck Rebel Gazette’ in Pontotoc, Mississippi, reported the following: After
digging as deep as 30 feet in a corn field near Black Zion, Bubba Ray Johnson, a self-taught archaeologist, reported that he found absolutely nothing.
Bubba has therefore concluded that 300 years ago, Mississippi had already gone wireless.

Salon Owner Broke After Being Sued for ‘Hurt Feelings’ by Muslim Stylist With Head Scarf
A hair salon owner in London claims her business was driven to the brink of ruin after she was ordered to pay $7,800 to a Muslim woman who claimed her feelings were hurt after she was not hired because she wouldn’t show her hair at work, The Daily Mail reported Wednesday.
Wedge salon owner Sarah Desrosiers requires employees to showcase different looks for clients, as her shop specializes in alternative cuts and colors. Bushra Noah, 19, who made it clear during her interview that she would not remove her head scarf for religious reasons, accused Desrosiers of discrimination.
Now, pardon my female foolishness, but if I can’t see the stylist’s hair, I don’t wanna see the stylist. She got her feelings hurt? Boo freakin’ hoo! Perhaps she should have applied at “Muslim only” salons.
“She is simply someone I met for a job interview, who, for a host of reasons, was not right for the job. I cannot see how she deserves £4,000,” Desrosiers told The Mail. “Because of this, there will be a black mark against my name for the rest of my life. I feel I have not done anything wrong, and this is a terrible price to pay for a meeting that lasted 10 minutes.”
If I was able, I’d be on the plane in no time flat, just to go to get a tiny trim off the top of my head from this lady. Although, to be honest, I don’t think is a salon for ol’ broads like me. Perhaps the fine folks in her area should show her some love, and skip their regular appointments to line up outside her shop?
Noah admitted she had attended 25 interviews and not been chosen for any of them before she met Desrosiers. The extremist Muslim group Hizb ut-Tahrir later admitted it had “advised her.”
And yet, she didn’t sue the other 25 businesses? Why is that? Perhaps this extremist bunch has some sort of vendetta? Hmm…..??
“This has ruined my ambitions,” Noah told The Mail. “Wearing a headscarf is essential to my beliefs.”
Fine. Wear your headscarf, just don’t expect Western women to come flocking to you for hair services. I have to ask….how did she get through beauty school without ever taking off her scarf?

Charges dropped against Marine officer
A military judge at Camp Pendleton on Tuesday dismissed charges against Lt. Col. Jeffrey Chessani, the highest-ranking officer accused in the deaths of 24 Iraqis in 2005 in the town of Haditha.
Col. Steven Folsom, the judge, made his ruling in response to a motion from defense attorneys charging that undue influence was exercised on the convening authority in the case. Folsom dismissed the charges without prejudice, meaning the Marine Corps could refile them.

Tennessee Democrat apologizes for comments about Obama, terrorism
A prominent Tennessee Democrat is eating his words about presidential candidate Barack Obama.
Fred Hobbs, a member of the state Democratic Party’s executive committee, has apologized for his recent comments in which he said Obama, the presumptive Democratic nominee, “may be terrorist-connected.”
Oh paleeeez! One Dhimmi has the guts to say what many, across the country, actually thinks, and he weasels out of it, bowing and scraping. The fact that Hamas supports him should give someone a clue.
Islamic Saudi Academy Prepares ‘Clean’ Books for Fall
Religious textbooks at the Islamic Saudi Academy (IPA) in Fairfax, Va., which have sparked controversy for content that allegedly promotes violence and hatred toward non-Muslims, will be rewritten and reissued by the time students return to school in the fall, said school officials.
Well, I hate to slap a dose of reality on anyone, but they might want check the Qu’ran too, cuz it does the same thing as said textbooks. Are they going to rewrite that too?
Christian convert reacts to Islamist death threats
“I find it extremely worrying that today we can find internet sites, full of al-Qaeda-inspired thought in Italian language, giving support to Bin Laden’s terrorism,” said Allam in an interview with Adnkronos International (AKI) on Wednesday.
Allam is an Egyptian-born writer and deputy editor of Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera, who converted from Islam to Roman Catholicism in a highly publicised Easter service conducted by Pope Benedict XVI at the Vatican in April.
“I find this serious because the writers of these sites are most likely Italians,” Allam told AKI.

Black Bear Captured In East Tennessee
A bandit on the loose in east Tennessee has been captured, but he’s not your average suspect. He’s a black bear.
The 250 pound animal had been roaming the neighborhoods of east Tennessee eating dog food, bird seed and household scraps.
The bear was first spotted last week in Oak Ridge.
He was captured in Knoxville earlier this week and set free in the Cherokee National Forest.
Perhaps he was looking for some bear “fast food”?

IAF Pilots Kill Shalit Kidnappers
The Israel Air Force struck terrorist groups in Gaza in three separate attacks Tuesday afternoon killing at least six operatives, including a terror cell responsible for the 2006 kidnapping of IDF Cpl. Gilad Shalit.
Two of the strikes were carried out in the central Gaza town of Dir el-Balah, where IAF pilots successfully targeted the gunmen involved in the 2006 kidnapping of IDF Cpl. Gilad Shalit.
The IAF never ceases to amaze me. Now, where’s Shalit?

Israel-Hamas Truce Is Called Fragile, Temporary
As operatives of Hamas boasted victory, claiming an agreement with Israel to temporarily halt violence in Gaza is imminent, American and Israeli critics, including a top Middle East adviser to Senator Obama, Daniel Kurtzer, expressed skepticism that the lull in fighting could hold for long.
I’d say, odds are, it won’t “hold” for more than 15 minutes, if that long. These aren’t rational people ya know. And honor isn’t one of their strong points.
