Dirt?

Well, I guess they call it dirt. Personally, I don’t think south Middle Tennessee has dirt. I have good reason to believe we have majorly compressed dust. I wonder if I stuck a lump of coal a foot or two down, would I end up with a diamond in the not too distant future? Assuming, of course, I could even manage to dig down a foot or two.
