An Ol’ Broad’s Ramblings
Don’t Open The Box!
Good advice! Because if you DO open that box, you’re going to find things. Things like OLD pictures! Some of which will make ya feel like crap!
Was I ever that young, that skinny, that boobless……that TALL? sigh….
Then of course, you find a treasure….like blackmail shots! Heh!
Ok, I’ll relent….here’s one that’s REALLY old. But I’m not tellin’ ya which one is me.
I actually remember the name of 3 of the girls. Well, two for sure. I’m iffy on the other one.
When brat and I moved to California, way back when, we stopped at the Grand Canyon. And if I hear ONE word about a “big hole”, I will come over there and SMACK you!

I so hate you… and besides.. Kathy did my hair… not me.. so shuddup… and it was a big hole in the ground.. i was 12 and you drug me across the country… sheesh
Dear OBR, I used to be that thin, er, and kinda short, but I was boobless! In fact I never had anybody’s boobs until I lost my virginity! Badly.
Ah, I have photos from the 1980’s where I dyed my hair, and I have apparently styled it to look like a simulation of Mount Fuji using a black bath mat.
At least I was consistent. Nearly all my fashion choices where terrible and clueless. It’s amazing that everyone’s photos from each period, are virtually interchangable with our own!
Faded pigeon toed beach polaroid. Blotchy unbelievably naive school groups. Ridiculous teenageromace hug shots at a party or beach etc. And the wistful happy and fleeting moments. One of my favourites though, is the shabby and infinitely uncool family get together with sullen teenager in background. A classic! We all have ‘em.
All the best and thanks for visiting. Colonel Neville.
@brat:
Oh, and again, remind me to smack you!
@bat… you are not cute..
@Brat:
Yes I am.
@ bat.. and on the brownie pics, i’m gonna guess 2nd from the right front row….. cuz thats the one that rather resembles my baby pic… evil bat..
@brat:
Hey….NO one said you could play!!! Pfft!
Brings to mind some girl who asked why YOUR baby picture was on MY grandmother’s wall….many years after she had died.
