    I’m sorry to say this but, rather than assisting the ‘dis on the 2 judges that dissenting, we should be supporting them.  The 5 that had the majority opinion were doing what we conservatives don’t like i.e. taking a law that was written and intended for something else (clearly once they reviewed the legislative notes) and decided to use it for something they personally didn’t like.  The 2 dissenters were doing the right, albeit the less popular thing, by telling the legislature they needed to do their job better.

    @Shoebox:

    Ya gotta admit, the “headline” is a hoot. :)

    Ok, admittedly, this should never even been an issue. I had always thought that it was a given ya don’t boff dead bodies, either morally, or legally. The fact that WI doesn’t actually have a law on the books should have put up some serious red flags in the legislature, and been dealt with.

    I did like the headline…saw a couple of others that were also good.  Your point on the law is right.  However, I think only 20 states or so have laws against “doing the dead nasty.”  I guess we all thought there wasn’t a need for a law against such perversion..we thought wrong.  Also the legislature had a law written to deal with it as the 2 lower courts had said the law wasn’t against necrophilia.  It wasn’t until the WI Supremes decided again to write their own laws that the legislature dropped theirs.
    Like we’re trying to teach McCain (don’t know if it will ever happen), use all the guns you can, just make sure they’re pointed in the right direction!

    I tremble to ask but, why does your dryer smell like burnt cat fur?

  5. olbroad. 13 July 2008, 8:01 pm

    @Jake Jacobsen:

    Dunno…. couldn’t have anything to do with the fact we have three cats, could it? Heh. I think some fur got through the filter thingy. Lemme tell ya….NOT a pleasant aroma!
