An Ol’ Broad’s Ramblings
Serious Question

The more I think about this, the more annoyed I get. I do not know one single person who voted for John McCain in the primaries. Not one. I know Thompson supporters, Huckabee, Romney, and even Ron Paul, but not ONE person of my acquaintance expressed any support for McCain whatsoever. Zip. Zero. Zilch. Truth be told, they aren’t expressing much now either.
Now, my question: Did ANYONE vote for McCain in their state’s primary? Anyone?

My “political” circle is small as it is, no one I work with supports McRino. I wonder how many dems voted for Mcdon’t during the Primary… If there WAS any sort of evil plan to get McCan’t on the ballot (to give their guy a better chance) it sure looks like it’s going to work. Or am I giving them too much credit on that one?
I certainly didn’t…but come Novemeber I will be doing it….though I REALLY DON”T WANT TO! McCain’s slogan should be: “Awww….screw it, McCain 08′”
I’ve been a McCain supporter from day one. I voted for Hillary, though.
yup…i did….and quite happily. look, these are the choices we had. and he was the only one that could even hope to beat a democrat in the fall.
plus…i really admire mccain, he is a good and decent man who has worked hard for America. do i agree with all his positions? no. but then how many people [especially in politics] do you know that you agree with totally?
huckabee [while a really nice man] was just not presidential material.
mitt romney would have been slaughtered in the fall and fred [who i really liked] just didn’t have the “fire in the belly” that is needed.
and sorry for no caps but demolishing a kitchen while also running a company is not something i would tell anyone to do……..
I don’t know anyone who did, but then again all of my friends are just Texas rednecks. We drink beer and talk of more important thinigs in life like hey, I heard beer is on sale at Walmart, or I think I need some new tires. Ha. I will be voting for him come election time though.
That’s 4 no, and 1 yes. Add me, that’s 5 no. Hmmm…
If I could figure out how to do those poll thingys like Badger Blogger has, I’d put one up on the side. I’m really curious about this.
or…tee hee…you could just look at the fact that he is our nominee….
sorry…i couldn’t resist. payback for you falling on the floor laughing over my “illustrated” son…….
and you know what they say about payback…..
look though ,seriously….mccain is a really good guy. what? you want obama?
@christmasghost:
Now, don’t you make me come smack ya! Heh!
Ok, obviously, not just no, but HELL no! I do not want that …..CHILD in charge. And yeah, McCain, I have no doubt, is a good guy. That being said…. that amnesty nonsense is putting the safety of our country at risk. There are a couple of other issues, but that is a BIG one for me.
At the risk of offending, like I care… Anyone that voted for McLame did a really good job of screwing America… Thanks a lot…
ol’ broad…..you just try and smack me and i’ll sic old illustrated son on ya!
heh heh heh………..
and tex…hey i did what i thought was right. the others didn’t stand a chance in the fall and i’m not worried about amnesty.have you seen his version of it? ha! no illegal will ever follow through, and if they do they just ended up following US law anyway…..
if i had my way i would end all immigration to the states…we are full up.
we could hang the “NO VACANCY” sign on the border fence.
but tex…who did you vote for?
oops…forgot to add….tex, have you thought about what hillary or [god forfend obama] would do with illegals? they would open the doors wide……..
that’s what i was thinking about when i voted for mccain. plus, i knew that out of everyone running on the good side he was the only one that wouldn’t get the moonbats motivated. hey, i have to live with them and i was right…..
they don’t see him as a threat…..and yet he is. that’s what’s so great about him.
I didn’t vote for McClame. I might have to come November but that really depends on his Veep… I am in the mode of voting for Veeps now the Pres candidates both suck so all we have left is the Veep choice.
i really don’t get it. what do all of you actually have against mccain?
Where to start about why McCain is a terrible choice…. Pandering to LaRaza is a good place to start. His excitement over destroying the economy because of the anthropogenic global warming hoax is another. I’ll vote for him because at least he won’t be turning the country over to the Islamofascists (I don’t think Barry O’s a secret Muslim; he’s an unsecret moron), but I’m not really excited about the energy taxes or the amnesty for drug smugglers that comes with national security.
Superficially (because that’s the way most TV-watching voters think, and there’s more of them than there are blog readers), Bob Dole was a superior choice to Clinton in 1996 but he looked old and creepy next to a young hip guy and got blown away. I’m not sure why anyone in the RNC thought creepy old McCain would look appealing to the under-50 crowd next to young hip metrosexual Obamarama. Expect the exact same thing in November.
On the bright side, nuclear winter will stave off “global warming” for a decade or two.
The same people that supported Bob Dole love John McCain. This guy can never be expected to beat a young man with charisma. I am either not voting for a presidential or I’m voting for the Libertarian! I’m done voting for the “lesser of two evils”!
Hmm…now we’re at…8 to 1 I think?
Personally, that whole pandering to the Hispanics and violating the 1st Amendment grates, big time. His sucking up to Dhimmis bothers the bejabbers out of me. That “climate change” issue hold no water with me. Wow. So, why don’t we like McFeingold? Well, the ‘whys’ are numerous.
Fred, the first time you hold back your opinion, I’ll be making travels plans to attend your funeral. LOL It would absolutely SCARE me if ya didn’t speak your mind.
El Dorado- I voted for Dole. After 4 years of Clinton, I had to put a sign in my yard. But he, like McFeingold, didn’t come into the race to do battle. And there’s we find our problem! If he’d stand up and tell people the truth, I’d have a whole lot more respect for him. And it does depend on who he picks as a running mate whether or not I’ll vote for him. If it’s a suck up like him, I might just go with Bob Barr. Or write in someone. Although, that would guarantee a B. Hussein victory. I think the Dhimmis are counting on the conservatives to break ranks and go for a third person.
Ok, shuttin’ up now.
okay…i understand where you are all coming from, but once again…you are going to vote for who?
we live in the real world, and so we have to decide between the real choices that exist in reality. not what we wish could be or should be…but what IS.
i wouldn’t overestimate obama’s “charisma” factor, mainly because it doesn’t exist. he killed it a long time ago and michelle “fishwife” obama put the final nail in it’s little tiny coffin.
this is a new time…and that whole “charisma…but no experience”
just really isn’t flying anymore……especially when it doesn’t exist.JFK and clinton couldn’t get elected today if they had to.
we used to be a country full of people that admired experienced older people….don’t tell me all of you are buying into the MSM BS about mccain’s age?
BTW….have you seen his mom?
and really, once again you are voting for who?
bob barr? don’t make me laugh…talk about no charisma…
@christmasghost:
LOL No, I’m not really gonna vote for Bob Barr. I think my frustration is shining through.
And odds are, when push comes to shove, I will vote for McFeingold, cuz the thought of that communist slime ball being POTUS scares the bejabbers out of me. I’m even considering sending McCain a few bucks, although I will NOT support the RNC.
ol’ broad……..you know, the RNC has let all of us down. but i know one thing for sure the enemy of my enemy is my friend and on all counts mccain fits perfectly. he has never gone along with the “spend like a drunken sailor” RNC, he has guts…they do not, and they don’t like him.
to me it’s a win win.
and the bottom line…and fred this is for you too….mccain is a PATRIOT. a true patriot and you cannot even begin to say that about obama.
even the name…OBAMA? my gawd…we would sound like we were being run by a third world dictator because WE WOULD BE.
besides…aren’t we really all on the same page here? we are all americans way before we even think of “party”.
think of the few of us true conservatives left as the “starter”….kinda like making sourdough.LOL.
and you know, being a native Californian i definitely know what happens when you allow petty differences to divide you. interlopers like the fake californian nancy pelosi move in.
plus…the supposedly true conservatives said all the very same things about reagan back when he was running that they are saying now about mccain…because, for the same reasons, mccain scares the crap out of the status quo.
and like i said before…mccain doesn’t motivate the moonbats…..don’t underestimate the imporatnce of that. really…don’t.
there are about 20 MILLION of them in my state ALONE.
think about that….just not before you try to eat or go to sleep………
@christmasghost:
Lucky for me, I don’t live in a state that’s overrun by moonbats. LOL There are plenty in the bigger cities, but I think us hicks outnumber ‘em.
I know we’ll never get the exact candidate we want, and need. I don’t doubt McCain’s patriotism, but sometimes I question his perspective of reality. We need our borders secured NOW, yet he panders to the open borders crowd? (insert four lettered words here) grrrrrrrrrrrrr
ol’ broad…i know and that fries the hell out of me too. BUT, living in a state crawling with illegals i can honestly say that he is just telling them what they want to hear NOW…that will change later. even the mexicans aren’t fooled………
and obama? mexican illegals would look like a cake walk compared to the creeps he would be INVITING in………
@christmasghost:
Y’know, even out here in Podunk, TN, we’re being invaded. There’s nothing more annoying than walking through Wal Mart and hear a gaggle of….people, babbling away in Spanish, and looking at YOU like YOU’RE in the wrong place.
I hope you are right about him yapping to pander, but it might just be the opposite. He’s the one who was for amnesty. Just cuz he says he “heard” us, doesn’t mean he really does get it. sigh…
well…i’ll tell you what. now i am pissed off at him. when his spokes woman said today that obama was just going on a tour of the world to campaign [obviously i'm paraphrasing] and then mccain comes out and says “oh no, she’s wrong i’ll talk to her. he[obama] should be going…”
i thought oh for cripes sake shut up you fool……
when is he going to start acting as if he weren’t running obama’s campaign instead of his own………
and when he said that the new yorker cartoon was tasteless [it was a cartoon???] i thought oh shut up you fool again……..
sigh…what to do?
@christmasghost:
The RNC is giving a victory to the moonbats, and we’re sitting back, watching! I wonder if there is time to have some sort of revolution?
well….what if all of us..every single blogger and others that we can round up start sending emails and calls to the mccain camp and tell them “either sac up or shut up?”
@christmasghost:
Whut? He’s gonna start listening now? When he’s got the nomination wrapped up? We can only dream. sigh… But hey, I reckon it’s worth a shot, right?
