Return of Nazism in Germany?

5 August 2008, 10:59 pm. Comments Off. Filed under Education, Feckless Weasels.

Weren’t children taken away from their parents, to be raised by the state back during the days of Adolf Hilter? Looks like they’re at it again.

German Court Keeps Five Kids Because Parents are Homeschoolers

A homeschooling family in Southern Germany spent six hours in a grueling German Family Court session this week with the hopes of regaining custody of their six homeschooled children, who have been held in state custody since January. After the long and confusing session, the Gorbers regained custody of their 3-year-old son. The judge, meanwhile, retained custody of five other Gorber children now being kept in foster care and youth homes pending a court-ordered psychological evaluation of the parents. The court did allow increased visitation for some of the children up from one hour every two weeks that had been permitted since the children were seized in a surprise raid by the youth welfare office (“Jugendamt”) and police.

In January of 2008, Jugendamt and police officials surrounded the German home of the family while Mr. Gorber visited his wife at a local hospital where she had been admitted due to complications from her pregnancy with her ninth child. The oldest son, age 21, and a daughter, age 20, were not taken by the authorities, but all the other children were removed despite their repeated protests.

The siblings reported that the 7-year-old was gripped around the waist by a youth home music teacher, dragged kicking and screaming across the courtyard and thrown into a van. The terrified 3-year-old clung to his 20-year-old sister so tightly that even the police and Jugendamt could not separate them. Both had to be taken to the youth home, where at last the little fellow’s strength gave out and he could be taken into custody.

This is how they treat children? How they treat parents who actually DARE to raise their children themselves, with no interference from the government? The damage that has been done to those kids may never been fully known for quite a while.

Opponents have accused the child welfare system in Germany of corruption driven by exorbitant payments by the government to children’s homes and foster care providers. This “youth welfare industry” is financed by a 21 billion euro budget. The local operating youth welfare committees include privately owned and for-profit children’s care institutions who participate with legal sanction on the committees with two-fifths of the total vote. No other child welfare system in the world is known to allow this type of intermingling between government and commercial enterprises. Such an intermingling would appear to create a serious conflict of interest.

The more children they rip from their parents, the more money the system gets? Does anyone else find this a tad shady? Basically, they are stealing children for pay. How much do they get paid per child?

Until last year, homeschooling families had mostly been harassed with exorbitant fines. This year however, Rosemarie and Juergen Dudek of Archfeldt, Germany were sentenced to three months each in prison for homeschooling. In a previous family court case involving the Dudeks, the judge declined to take away the parental rights of the parents. It was thought that the Dudeks cared for and educated their children too well to justify penal removal of the children under the legal clause “misuse of parental authority.” During the Dudek’s criminal trial the judge ordered a 900 euro fine against the family for not sending their children to school. Not satisfied with this “lenient” sentence, local State Prosecutor Herwig Mueller told Mr. Dudek “you won’t have to worry about paying the fine, because I’m going to send you to jail.” His appeal of the fine resulted in the latest prison sentence for Mr. And Mrs. Dudek.

Germany seems to have found an easy target: Parents who CARE about their children and their education, and prefer not to have them indoctrinated by the government run schools. Are there not a sufficient number of children being beaten, burned, and broken to suit their financial needs?

“This poor, simple family is being crushed by unbearable pressure from the German state’s police power, primarily because they are homeschoolers,” Donnelly said. “This father of nine, a woodworker, told me how difficult this is and the incredible strain it’s placing on his children, his wife and himself. As longtime homeschoolers, they have irritated the local youth authorities who needed only the pretext of the hospitalization of the mother and other exaggerated claims to seize the children.” Donnelly noted that “while there are some policy makers in some of the states who are willing to take on this important issue of human rights, most couldn’t be bothered. It is going to take increased public awareness and international pressure to confront German Society with this outrageous behavior. Unfortunately it looks like more parents will have to go to jail and more children taken into state custody before German public policy makers wake up and do something. It’s very disturbing that Germany can get away with this kind of behavior with such little public comment by other Western governments.”

Where is the Human Rights bunch on this one? Don’t they think this is an abuse of power and a complete violation of these parents right?

Another Learning Experience

If Medicaid and/or Medicare is suppose to help out poor folks who have no health insurance, why is when I was at the doctor’s today and they were making an appointment for some tests at the hospital, the girl said, “No, she’s on private insurance, and self pay, not Medicare.”  Pause…. To me: “Can you go in Thursday?”  “Yes, Thursday is fine.”  Again to me: “Good thing you’re not on Medicaid.  You’d have to wait a couple of weeks.”

Now, I have issues with this!  Yes, I am lucky enough to have personal health care, and can pay for whatever they don’t cover.  Seems to me, it shouldn’t matter whether or not I’m on Medicaid, or Medicare.  I was under the impression this great liberal idea for health care for the poor was suppose make everyone equal?

Guess not.  Once again, the socialistic “feel good” idealism does more harm than good.  I have had to use Medicaid at a couple of times during my life.  I’m wondering how often I was put off for a needed procedure or appointment, or whatever because of Medicaid?

Somehow, something just doesn’t seem right.

Exxon Mobil 2Q Profit Makes War Profiteer George Soros More Wealthy

Exxon Mobil reported a second quarter profit of almost $11.7 billion dollars.

Of course, this is infuriating the Democrats. The Guardian:

Four senior Democrats in Congress called a press conference today to lambaste the largest US oil companies for spending more on stock buy-backs to enrich shareholders than on energy exploration.

Go read the rest. Make sure you have paper towels to clean up the mess when the “blood starts shooting out of your eyes”.

Probably a Good Idea

You know, it would have never occurred to me that this was even an issues. I guess the folks in Denver decided since they were going to have so many Dhimmi guests, and Dhimmi protesters, they had to clarify the rules.

With DNC in mind, city bans carrying urine, feces

Poo and pee dominated a public hearing Monday on a new law that prohibits people from carrying certain items if they intend to use them for nefarious purposes.

The law, crafted in advance of the Democratic National Convention, was adopted unanimously by the City Council.

But not before a hearing laced with comedy and profanity.

Representatives from some of the groups planning large-scale protests during the DNC this month said the ordinance was unnecessary and accused city officials of fear mongering.

“The intent of this ordinance is to try to smear protesters and make them look as if they are somehow criminal or somehow going to engage in some kind of gross conduct,” said Glenn Spagnuolo, an organizer with the Re- create 68 Alliance.

The ordinance makes it illegal to carry certain items, such as chains, padlocks, carabiners and other locking devices. It also prohibits the possession of noxious substances. Two of the most frequently used examples of a noxious substance are a bucket of urine and a “feces bomb.”

Having dealt with a few of the Dhimmi types at an event or two, I’m inclined to think they city officials are onto something. Sad that there would even be the need. :?

Pelosi: At-risk Dems back drilling

California Democrat Nancy Pelosi may be trying to save the planet — but the rank and file in her party increasingly are just trying to save their political hides when it comes to gas prices as Republicans apply more and more rhetorical muscle.

But what looks like intraparty tension on the surface is part of an intentional strategy in which Pelosi takes the heat on energy policy, while behind the scenes she’s encouraging vulnerable Democrats to express their independence if it helps them politically, according to Democratic aides on and off Capitol Hill.

Pelosi’s gambit rests on one big assumption: that Democrats will own Washington after the election and will be able to craft a sweeping energy policy that is heavy on conservation and fuel alternatives while allowing for some new oil drilling. Democrats see no need to make major concessions on energy policy with a party poised to lose seats in both chambers in just three months — even if recess-averse Republicans continue to pound away on the issue.

“The reality is we will have a new president in three months, and what Bush and the Republicans are trying to do amounts to a land grab for the oil companies,” said one senior House Democratic aide involved with party strategy. “I don’t think we have to give in at all pre-election — we have many more options postelection.”

The Dhimmicrats want to own Washington, D. C. They want to own YOU. You are too stupid to figure out they have been they are about as incompetent at leading as I am at brain surgery.

We all have a choice come November. Do we want to continue in the same rut we have found ourselves for the last 17 months? Or, would we like to elect a whole new slate, with the admonishment, we will NOT allow Congress to subject us, WE, THE PEOPLE, to anymore of their abuse.

The Republicans lost in 2006 for their failure to live up to their ‘promises’ to the public. In 2008, the same should happen to the Dems!

Obama Vows Energy Independence in 10 Years

Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama pledged to free the United States from dependence on oil from the Middle East and Venezuela within a decade and also attacked his Republican opponent John McCain as the candidate of big oil.

While speaking at Michigan State University in Lansing, Mich., the Illinois senator again repeated that he is open to limited offshore oil drilling in the United States, a shift from his previous opposition to drilling. However, Obama said that much more needs to be done.

“Now, increased domestic oil exploration certainly has its place as we make our economy more fuel-efficient and transition to other, renewable, American-made sources of energy,” he said. “But it is not the solution. It is a political answer of the sort Washington has given us for three decades.”

Obama changed his position on offshore drilling Friday, having previously said it would not reduce the price of gas. While still skeptical, he supports the “Gang of 10” plan – proposed by five Democrats and five Republican senators – to increase domestic oil drilling while also increasing funding for alternative fuels.

This clown has NO ideas whatsoever. He takes a piece of this, a smidge of that, runs it all together, and spews it to his acolytes. They, of course, lap it up like a kitten with milk.

Ten years? If we had starting producing our own oil 20 years ago, along with searching for alternatives, odds are, we wouldn’t be in this mess now. I’m not going to put the blame solely on the Dhimmicrats. We had a Republican controlled Congress, and they sat on their thumbs too.

Unlike B. Hussein, I believe ALL avenues need to be opened up. No “compromises”! No bowing to special interests. The only “special interests” that should be in control are the American people. WE SAY DRILL!

It’s a start, not a complete solution. With the threat of drilling, oil prices have decreased. Sadly, it isn’t reflected at a lot of gas pumps around the country. We’ve got $3.65, others are still paying more than 4 bucks. Scandalous to say the least.

English First denounces Muslim holy day at Shelbyville plant

English First today denounced as “multiculturalism run amok” a decision by a Tennessee Tyson Foods poultry plant to eliminate Labor Day as a paid holiday for employees and replace it with a paid observance of a Muslim holy day.

The Tyson plant which will no longer observe Labor Day is located in Shelbyville. About 700 of its 1,200 employees are Muslim.

“Already we have been told by Barack Obama that it is the duty of our children to learn Spanish,” said Jim Boulet Jr., executive director of English First. “Now, an American holiday has been replaced by a Muslim religious festival.”

“A new immigrant to America, legal or illegal, enjoys more rights than taxpaying American citizens,” Boulet said. “The notion that immigrants should adapt to America is being destroyed one bilingual education class, one ‘press one for English,’ and one ACLU-approved Muslim foot-washing bath at a time.”

If we, as Americans, do not stand up against the erosion of our country, we will not have a country to stand up for!

‘All it takes for evil to triumph is for good people to do nothing …’ – Edmund Burke

Well, when are we going to start doing something, anything, to take back our country?

JOHN GOTTI JR. ARRESTED

John A. “Junior” Gotti has been arrested on charges linking him to three New York murders, a law enforcement official said Tuesday.

Gotti, 44, was arrested by the FBI at his Long Island home. Federal authorities in Tampa, Fla., are expected to announce a racketeering indictment, charging Gotti with murder conspiracy in connection with killings in the late 1980s and early 1990s, according to the official, who spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because a formal announcement had not yet been made.

Reckon the apple really doesn’t fall far from the tree, does it.

Police fire water cannon at Bush protesters

Dueling demonstrations reflected mixed sentiments in this U.S. ally, where public opinion surveys remain generally positive about America, though many people decry Washington for a variety of issues. Bush will meet Wednesday with President Lee Myung-bak for the third time since the conservative, pro-American leader took office in February.

It always amazes me how folks around the world think the American president can be blamed for their personal woes. I don’t suppose it has ever occurred to folks to start looking towards their own backyard in an effort to improve their own lives? Hmmm….. Naw…never occurs to folks here either.

‘Dead’ woman sues Porter hospital

Diane Wright, 67, and her husband are suing for damages caused when Porter staff declared her dead after a 46-year-old North Judson woman with her name died in the hospital on Jan. 25.

Since then, Wright has had her Social Security and Blue Cross/Blue Shield terminated. The federal government billed her husband, Delbert Wright, $2,941.80 for Social Security paid into their joint account.

“This is not one of those ‘I spilled coffee in my lap at McDonald’s (lawsuits),” said Thomas Hillers, attorney for the Wrights.

They tried to clear things up through the hospital, but they received no replies about the months-long mess they had to wade through and correct.

I’m not a ‘sue happy’ type person, but in this case, since the hospital has done NOTHING to correct the problem they created, I’d say hit ‘em hard! I’m thinking it would have been rather simple for the hospital to contact the powers that be to notify them of their mistake, and declare the woman very much alive. But, that’s just me.

Vilna’i: Israel won’t open Rafah Crossing without Gilad Schalit

Israel will not open the Rafah Crossing on the border with the Gaza Strip, and will not permit passage of Palestinians into Egypt until progress is made in securing the release of kidnapped IDF soldier Cpl. Gilad Schalit, Deputy Defense Minister Matan Vilna’i said on Tuesday.

“Forget about it. Unequivocally, opening the Rafah Crossing and the crossing of Palestinians into Egypt is conditional on the release of Gilad Schalit,” Vilna’i said during a tour of the Kerem Shalom Crossing on the Gaza border.

I’m thinking Israel should have shut down every crossing, cut off anything, going in or coming out, two years ago when Shalit was kidnapped. Release him, or suffer. Since this seems to be a habit of the Pallies, a strong initial message might have made quite a difference at the time. One of those “Let my people go!” or suffer the consequences scenarios.

Grand Junction drafts plan for City Council prayers

A draft policy that will retain the Grand Junction City Council’s practice of praying before meetings calls for formally inviting a broad range of spiritual leaders to give the invocation and forbids advocating a particular religious belief.

City Attorney John Shaver presented a three-page resolution during a council workshop Monday night that featured an hourlong discussion attended by members of the Grand Valley’s religious community and Western Colorado Atheists.

Shaver said the policy would support the continuance of an invocation — with boundaries built in — but wouldn’t guarantee a shield against a lawsuit.

Any lawsuits brought should immediately be tossed on the grounds of the 1st Amendment! This is getting ridiculous! It’s already gone beyond dangerous. (I highly advise watching the series, Silencing the Christians!)

Kingdom stresses need for Palestinian unity

The Council of Ministers yesterday stressed the need for the Palestinians to unite so that they can present their stances in an effective manner internationally.

“The Council of Ministers in its weekly meeting chaired by Crown Prince Sultan reviewed the situation in the Arab world and called for joint Arab action and support for organizations making concerted efforts to shelve marginal differences for the sake of the common Arab cause,” said Culture and Information Minister Iyad Madani in a statement to the Saudi Press Agency after the meeting at Al-Salam Palace in Jeddah.

“Some Arab areas are exposed to attempts at exploitation of their cultural diversity for sectarian wrangling and regional disruption and some other areas have been surrounded by schemes for intervention and domination,” Madani said quoting a statement issued after the Cabinet meeting.

What he doesn’t bring up is just what that common cause is….the destruction, or takeover, of the non Muslim countries.

McCain Woos Bikers

“It will be a good day on election day if there are a lot of bikes parked outside polling places,” Mr. McCain said, at a tribute to veterans and those who serve in the military held in the midst of the ongoing party that locals says consumes this part of the country for several weeks.

It took more than an hour by bus to get to Sturgis from Rapid City. You get there by navigating flat and winding roads until suddenly an oasis of trailers, bikes and people emerges. A small, crowded village, mostly made up of shaggy haired men, waited for the Straight Talk Express bus and the presumed Republican nominee’s arrival.

Oh, and as some in the crowd pointed out, after they paid their respects to Mr. McCain, they would be hanging around for a concert with Kellie Pickler and Kid Rock.

I’m disappointed. No pictures of McCain in his leathers. Heh. I noticed however, that even though the Slimes fails to mention the concerts connected to B. Hussein, they DO mention the connection with McCain. Gee, wonder why that would be?

Edouard hits Texas coast with strong wind, rain

Tropical Storm Edouard hit the Texas Gulf coast east of Galveston on Tuesday with strong winds and heavy rain, but did little more than soak the travelers who came to relax on the tourist town’s beaches.

The National Hurricane Center in Miami said the storm made landfall over a stretch of coast east of Galveston and west of the Louisiana border, between the small coastal town of High Island and Sabine Pass. Though forecasters had feared it could become a hurricane, its sustained winds only reached 65 mph, short of hurricane strength at 74 mph.

The storm is expected to weaken later in the day as it moves west-northwest over Texas.

This is a good thing! And I noticed oil dropped thanks to the reality, that overrode all the hand wringing.

EU officials underline terrorist nature of MKO

A number of EU parliamentarians, in a letter have slammed a British court decision to remove the MKO from the British terror list.

The letter adds the MKO claims to be a democratic Iranian opposition, while it is instead a terrorist group with totalitarian ideals.

The MKO is behind a slew of assassinations and bombings inside Iran, it said, adding that the group has no public support within Iran because of their role in helping Saddam Hussein in the Iran-Iraq war.

Wait a minute…..doesn’t Iran already HAVE a totalitarian regime?

Pakistani Woman Extradited to New York for Alleged Attack on U.S. Soldiers

Aafia Siddiqui, who was shot and wounded last month during the confrontation, was expected to be arraigned Tuesday in federal court in Manhattan on charges of attempted murder and assault, U.S. Attorney Michael Garcia said in a statement. A lawyer for her family said the allegations are false.

Siddiqui, 36, was stopped by police on July 17 outside a government building in central Afghanistan’s Ghazni province, according to a criminal complaint. Police searched her handbag and discovered documents containing recipes for explosives and chemical weapons and describing “various landmarks in the United States, including New York City,” according to the complaint, which did not identify the landmarks.

We might want to reconsider all those ‘student visas’. I don’t care if they profile, allowing the enemy an education within our borders is NOT a real smart idea.

Blackburn joins GOP protest over energy bill

Armed with a light bulb and an empty red gasoline can, Rep. Marsha Blackburn took to the House floor Monday to argue for passage of comprehensive energy legislation.

But this was not a normal legislative debate. The House television cameras were turned off, as were the microphones. And the lights were dimmed as Blackburn and 23 GOP colleagues continued a quixotic protest session in hopes of convincing Democratic Speaker Nancy Pelosi to reconvene the House to vote on the GOP energy proposal.

I wonder how many emails she got, along with mine. :) I know there are some who are going to vote against her this Thursday in the primary, but thanks to her actions, I won’t be one of ‘em. :)   Light bulb and empty gas can.  I love it!  Heh.

Verse of the Day

5 August 2008, 9:42 am. Comments Off. Filed under Faith.

Matthew 7:15-22

15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?

17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.

18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.

19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.

20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
