If he wins, and he should, since it is a simple case of his First Amendment rights being refused him, I feel certain there will be some kind of appeal. As the Lt. Commander of an SCV camp in North Carolina, I am watching with rapt attention. I agree with your comments about the Mexican flag, the Palestinian flag, etc, being waved about these days.
