B. Hussein

3 wise men?

Michelle Obama

Granny Is that the one he threw under the bus?

Sam Nunn, Dick Luger, Ted Kennedy, Coburn.

Big table, many points of view, poke prod. No blind spots? Challenge assumptions.

Personal, moral failure….life, American:

Difficult youth, drugs, drinking. Selfish (nothing has changed). No focus on others. NOT about me.

Wrong step, protect self instead of God’s.

USA: Matthew….whatever ya you for the least of these…. No ladders of opportunity. Crap!

Party loyalty:

Worked with McCain…ethics, Feingold. Ethics? When was he elected again?

Ok, I’m not doing this? This is crap!

I’m going listen, and not learn much.

Welfare reform?

Tommy Thompson started all that in WI. Is this guy for real?

Dignity of work?

Well, if ya don’t tax people to death, there will be jobs.

He’s not real good at this. War in Iraq. Saddam was bad. He wasn’t even in the Senate when this war started!!! WTF?

World view:

His faith: I believe He died for my sins, redeemed. Get self out of way. Kind of stumbling on this one.

Obligation to embrace words and deeds. Acting justly, walking humbly. Quite a few ums… Doesn’t seem too sure. Confidence.

Abortion: human rights? Theological or scientific. speaking generally….convinced of moral and ethical. Wonder what those born alive and left to die think. Pro murder…aka choice. Goal should reduce. Limits on late terms? Hmm…. If you believe life begins at conception, I can’t argue. Work together to reduce. Again, not strong on this. Give health care? Adoption. I’m ok with THAT one.

Marriage: union man and woman. Sacred union. BUT…. wouldn’t support Amendment. Core beliefs? So, it’s ok to afford beliefs? Huh?

Embryo stem cells: He’s describing something I don’t remember at all. I thought there were only certain lines that could be used? Ok, I’m getting confused. Narrow circumstances….spinning right well.

Evil: Does exist. See evil everywhere. On the streets of our cities, abusive parents. We can’t erase evil. Soldiers in process. Confronting evil is evil? Hmmm….

Domestic:

Courts: not nominated? Clarence Thomas????? Dang! Scalia. Roberts compelling, smart. Does he know what the Supreme Court is suppose to do?

Faith based: Forfeit rights to get fed funds? All hands on deck, working with churches, power to get stuff done. Funding, free to hire who they want….BUT….. So, a Catholic church would have to hire a Muslim? Ok, confused again. Devil’s in the details?

Education: Missed it! Stupid phone rang!

Rich:

Tax plan….$150K down, middle class? Whoa. I reckon we’re POOR. More than $250K in top 4 or 5%? Oh hell, he is SO not smart! Increase in taxes….get use to it.

I take it back. NOT gonna do this! I think I’ll go have a root canal!

Ok, stepping back in for a bit…. McCain is actually doing better than I thought he would.

We had a dog visitor, so of course we had to go check her out. Not sure where she came from, and she ain’t stayin’!

Reagan was the best prez? Oh, you betcha! Lebanon was a mistake back then, and turns out, he was a right, sadly.

Drill HERE! Drill NOW! Whoo hoo!

National security issues. Yes, it is! Wish the dhimmis could figure this out. Do it ALL! Alternatives, nuclear. 80% of French electricity comes from nuke.

Gut wrenching decision? Prison camp, offered to leave. Refused. Character is obvious in that case. Toughest, and happiest. Ok, classy answer. LOTS of prayer.

Break thought….I think if this was an actual debate, McFeingold would clean B. Hussein’s clock. I might be wrong.

Faith for McCain: means I’m saved and forgiven. Yup. Agreed. Two Christians, worshiping together in prison.

Moment of conception! Yesssss! They are human! Pro life record. Pro life prez….pro life policies!

One man, one woman. Marriage! Issues includes judge in abortions.

California was WRONG! Overturning law was wrong. Federalist. States will decide. Legal agreements, ok. Preserve status unique status. Fed’s shouldn’t decide, states…NO forcing.

Stem cells. Warren asked B. about of embryonic and not adult. Thought they were suppose to be the same.

DEFEAT EVIL! I WILL GET OSAMA BIN LADEN!

Please….STOP saying “my friends”!

We are winning. Evil not in just in Iraq, they’re everywhere.

Would not nominate Suter, Ginsburg, Bryer, but not Stevens?

Don’t cripple faith based initiatives with fed crap. Gubmint screwed up with their efforts in NO.

Education and incarceration. Merit pay, kick out bad teachers. Ok….cool! Choice and competition! Excellent points! School of choice, charters works, home schooling, vouchers. Civil rights issue to NOT send kids to a failing schools.

What’s rich? Rich isn’t money, it’s happiness. I like this answer. Everyone should be able to get rich. Keep taxes LOW! Tax credit for kids, health care. Income: $5MIL. :) Ok, we’re still poor. Keep tax low to increase revenues. Too much spending, NOT the taxes. BEAR DNA? Bet is WAS paternity! heh Call back Congress! Cool! Doesn’t want to raise ‘em.

I wonder if we can put a zapper on him to keep him from saying “my friends”. Would help a WHOLE lot.

Colliding security and privacy. Secret ballot for unions. I’ll go along with that. Techno advances, we have to keep up with the enemy. They’re communicating, we have to be able to listen. Congress work together, judiciary review, and work out problems together, instead of bickering within.

Break thought: The Mr and I are a LOT more impressed with McCain than we were two hours ago, and even LESS impressed with B. Hussein….if that’s at all possible. What’s less than nothing? Hmmm….

Responsibility in the world:  What’s worth dying for?  Freedom!  Security.  Must temper, cause outcome we want.  Can’t right every wrong.  Beacon of hope.  Shining city on a hill.  We can’t do it all.  American blood has been shed for other nation’s freedom.  Cold War won without firing a shot.  Stop genocide.  Women are taking charge in Rwanda.  Dafur genocide must be stopped.  Does he think the UN is gonna do anything?  Hmmm….

Russia re-emerging.  118K displaced.  Earliest Christian country in Europe.  Russian act of aggression, need a ceasefire, need honor, territorial integrity of Georgia.  Suffering in Georgia.  Presidents joined prez is Georgia.  Control of pipeline.  EU not stepping up.  Not acceptable in 21st century.

Religious persecution:  Chinese, Iraqis, allies?  Bully pulpit greatest asset.  Reagan stood up to the nay sayers.  Need Reagan again.  sigh….  Judeo/Christian principles must dictate our actions.  We have flaws, but we are terrific.  Knows lack of freedom.  Not good.

Orphans:  I was one of ‘em.  Kids need to be in families.  Adoption needs to be easier in THIS country.  Telling story of adoption.

Why?  Inspire generation of Americans.  Best days ahead.  Enormous challenges.  Come together.  Country first, through career.  Reaching across that aisle again.  Too much actually.  Prez of EVERY American, and will alway put country first.

Be every where.  Nation founded on Judeo/Christian values, happy to be in church.  Honored.

Hmmm….  well, ok.  We’ve got a vote of two that McCain won.  Ok, so it wasn’t a debate, but as the Mr just said, hands down…..McCain.  I know there are going to be a few folks who will disagree, but that’s ok.  B. Hussein did NOT do well at all.

James Hoyt

16 August 2008, 4:33 pm. Comments Off. Filed under Life, U.S. Military, Veterans.

James Hoyt, one of four U.S. soldiers who discovered the Buchenwald concentration camp as World War II neared its end, died Monday. He was 83.

Hoyt’s wife, Doris, said he died in his sleep at home in rural Oxford. The cause of death was not immediately determined.

Hoyt served in the Army’s 6th Armored Division during World War II, earning a Bronze Star. He fought in the Battle of the Bulge, the bloodiest battle fought by American troops in World War II.

Buchenwald, one of the largest concentration camps established by Nazi Germany, was liberated in April 1945. It is estimated that 56,000 prisoners died at Buchenwald between 1937 and 1945.

“There were thousands of bodies piled high,” Hoyt said in a 2005 interview. “I saw hearts that had been taken from live people in medical experiments. … Seeing these things, it changes you.”

He said he had “horrific dreams” and received therapy at a Veterans Affairs hospital. He was interviewed as part of The Oxford Project, in which citizens of Oxford were photographed and interviewed about their lives.

Hoyt had returned to Oxford after the war and later worked more than 30 years with the U.S. Postal Service there. He retired in 1992.

Your nightmares are over sir.  Please, rest in peace.

Political Nonsense

Conservatives move against Romney as VP pick

On the day Mitt Romney bowed out of the presidential race last February, his supporters latched onto something of a consolation prize that appeared to bode well for his political future: the warm embrace of hundreds of conservatives whose seal of approval he had long sought.

The enthusiastic ovations Mr. Romney received before and after his speech ending his campaign at the Conservative Political Action Conference in Washington seemed to signal that he had finally overcome skepticism many conservatives harbored about him and become a a bona fide standard-bearer for their movement.

Honestly, I’m more skeptical of ANYTHING that comes from the NY Slimes, OR PMSNBC!

I’d take a McFeingold/Romney over a B.Hussien/(insert name of leftwing loony here) ANY day. No, I’m not compromising my principles. I will stand by them to the death! Unfortunately, we haven’t been given OUR choice of candidate, so I’m looking toward 2012 to see a return to REAL principles and the COUNTRY first agenda. Time is short, so we’ll have to hold our noses to vote, just to ENSURE there will be no President B. Hussein!

On a related note:

Skepticism mounts over Warren’s presidential forum

The head of the National Clergy Council is doubtful Pastor Rick Warren will ask Barack Obama and John McCain about their stances on abortion during tonight’s presidential forum.

Warren says he plans to ask the two White House hopefuls questions about topics such as the Constitution, poverty, HIV/AIDS, global warming, and human rights. Although Pastor Rob Schenck, president of Faith and Action, says those issues are important, he is concerned Warren will elevate them at the expense of issues that are traditionally of chief concern to Christians.

Uh….what is the point of having a Christian based forum, if you aren’t going to ask CHRISTIAN based questions, and EXPECT an honest answer!

Pay attention here, ok?  I – AM – NOT – GOING – TO – JOIN – YOUR – LEFTIST – ORGANIZATION!

Got it?

I managed to get you to stop bombarding my snail mail box, when I sent you that nice little note…..telling you exactly what I thought of your political meddling, although, I have noticed a few creeping back in.  Aren’t shredders great?

Now, leave me the hell alone!  I am a member of the CHRISTIAN Seniors, and will not send you a dime.

Let’s Face It….Ethics and Politics Don’t Mix!

16 August 2008, 10:52 am. 3 Comments. Filed under 2008, Election Stuff, Feckless Weasels, Opinion, Politics, Pond Scum.

Parties Skirt Rules on Gifts, Plan Lavish Conventions

When the Democratic Party holds its convention the week after next, members of Congress will be able to hear singer Kanye West at an all-expenses paid party sponsored by the recording industry.

They can play in a poker tournament with Ben Affleck, courtesy of the poker industry. They can try to hit a home run at Coors Field, home of the Colorado Rockies, thanks to AT&T Corp. Free drinks and cigars will be on offer at a bash thrown by the liquor industry.

The corporate largesse is on tap despite new ethics laws and rules that both chambers of Congress adopted in 2007, aimed at weakening the links between lawmakers and lobbyists. Spearheaded by the Democratic Party, the ethics effort included an attempt to ban corporations and lobbyists from throwing lavish parties for members at the national political conventions.

But in the months since the new rules took effect, lawmakers have watered down the guidelines, and Capitol Hill and K Street have teamed up to find ways around the guidelines as written. Politicians and lobbyists are now preparing about 400 of the biggest parties — both at the Democratic gathering in Colorado and when Republicans convene the following week in St. Paul — that conventioneers have ever seen.

The rest here.

Now, I don’t know about you, but I’m finding the lack of respect for the people of this country, coming out of Washington, D.C. more than disturbing! We EXPECT the best from our representatives, hoping they’ll consider OUR business. What do they do? They are always running for office, sucking up to anyone who will throw money in their direction, and SCREW YOU!

I was never much of a fan of term limits. I figured we had them with our vote. We’re wrong. Our votes don’t mean jack! We don’t decide who is going to represent us. Big corporations, including the MEDIA, and special interest decide who will be in office.

I’d say it was past time to take the money out of the politics, and give the D.C. BACK to “WE, the people”! And I don’t mean by a McCain/Feingold sort of action either.  I mean SERIOUS reform in financing those weasels.  How about a SERIOUS limit on what corporations can give?  Oh hell, I don’t know how we’d do it unless we just wiped the slate clean every 2, 4, and six years.  We’ve got so many politicians entrenched, Kennedy, Byrd, etc., how are we going to stop it?

I don’t have any answers.  Just a whole lot of anger about how WE have allowed this kind of crap to grow.  It’s our choice.  WE blew it!  Let’s find a way to fix it!

Nashville Nitwits!

16 August 2008, 9:59 am. Comments Off. Filed under Borders, Feckless Weasels, Politics, Pond Scum, Tennessee.

English-first initiative gets out-of-state help

An effort to make English the official language of Nashville has received most of its money from an out-of-state group advocating the same cause nationally and looking to land its biggest city yet, the group’s executive director said Friday.

Arlington, Va.-based ProEnglish — part of a larger nonprofit organization called U.S. Inc. — has given Nashville English First $19,000 since December and also has provided free legal advice, said Executive Director K.C. McAlpin. The local group has spent about $20,000 so far, its treasurer, Lewis Lampley, said this week.

If I had an address, I’d send ‘em a few bucks from IN state! And so should anyone else living in Tennessee! (They only have a donation button for the post card push. That’s over now. They need to UPDATE!) One thing they fail to mention, people send donations to national organizations to help support local efforts.

Nashville English First hopes to force a countywide vote this fall on a controversial proposal to limit all Metro government business, publications and meetings to English, with no exceptions for health or safety. It does include language indicating it should not be interpreted to conflict with state or federal law.

Calling a simple request for official business to be done in English, the language of the land, ‘controversial’ is just mind boggling! And I’d like to know, why is someone living in a country and not able to speak the language, ‘for health and safety’ reasons? You move to a county, you might want to have a working knowledge of the language BEFORE you get there.

If approved, it would make Nashville the biggest U.S. city with an “official English” law, McAlpin said. He said English is the official language of 30 states, including Tennessee.

Why isn’t this a nationwide push, instead of individual cities having to take on the initiative?

Metro Councilman Ronnie Steine, a leading critic of the proposal, said the source of the funding “flies a little bit in the face of the notion of this being a home-grown, grass-roots movement.”

“It’s a little bit odd that this whole effort has to be manufactured from outside the state,” Steine said.

Actually, no, it isn’t odd at all. Like I said before, people send money to national organizations who then turn around, and send it to local folks. Kind of like the BIG political parties do. You know how THAT works, don’t you Mr. Stein?

The council went on record last week as urging voters not to support the initiative. Steine sponsored that resolution.

Those members who oppose the initiative should be looking for other means of employment! This is our country, we’d like to keep it. Instead, feckless weasels like Stein, and those of his ilk are willing to turn it over to foreigners who choose ignorance of our laws.

Gregg Ramos, a Nashville attorney who opposes the English-first initiative, said he wasn’t surprised to hear that most of the money was coming from ProEnglish.

“I’ve said all along that this (proposal) does not represent who we are as a community,” said Ramos, a first-generation American of Mexican heritage. “Now this confirms that this mean-spirited, divisive law is primarily the product of a nativist, out-of-state group.”

I call BULLSHIT! The only people being “mean spirited” are those who oppose English speaking citizens! Remember where you live asshat! This ain’t Mexico, or Somalia, or any other place on the planet. This is the United States of America, and I, personally, would like to keep it that way. Come, be welcome, but LEARN THE FREAKIN’ LANGUAGE! Jeeeez, I get tired of having to repeat that so often!

McAlpin said he didn’t know if ProEnglish, which has an annual budget of about $1 million, would contribute more money to Nashville English First. Both he and Crafton expressed confidence that the measure would be approved by a large margin, and Crafton said any further spending probably would be minimal.

McAlpin also said the idea that the English-first movement is a front for anti-immigration agendas is “a bunch of rubbish.” However, ProEnglish, founded in 1993, is under the umbrella of U.S. Inc., a Michigan nonprofit that also supports immigration reform.

Do they ever actually listen to the crap that comes out of their mouths? Or rather, their hind ends? Cuz no one with an ounce of common sense would buy into their nonsense when the TRUTH is out there! NO ONE is anti-immigration, ya putz! Anti-ILLEGAL? Oh, hell yeah! What we have a major problem with is NON assimilation. And the demand that OUR country be turned into whatever country they left behind. You want to live in Mexico, then by george, go back and LIVE in Mexico. Don’t expect us to make concessions to you on such a basis. Oh yeah, and we kind of prefer the garbage in the trash cans, and not all over the streets. Just a thought to chew on.

Morning Coffee 08/16/08

Abortion looms as key issue in wooing of evangelical vote

On Friday, a prominent Christian conservative activist warned Sen. John McCain that choosing an abortion-rights running mate would be political suicide.

The same day, Sen. Barack Obama launched a “believers for Barack” Internet Web site aimed at young evangelicals.

Those developments help set the scene for tonight’s televised conversations between Southern Baptist minister Rick Warren and each of the candidates.

I’m not a one issue voter, although baby murder is REAL high on the top of my list on whether or not I can support a candidate. McFeingold might want to think REAL hard before he makes such an important decision, cuz there ARE some one issue voters, and that’s the one issue. They’ll sit home before voting for either of them, and that will ensure a B. Hussein victory. NOT acceptable!

Western governments face strategic deadend: speaker

Addressing a local seminar, he expressed satisfaction with vigilance of the Muslim nations and their awareness over their own rights.

The Western governments have attempted to prevent scientific progress of the Islamic nations, he said highlighting the Western governments fears from formation of Islamic governments.

Underlining the need for uprooting corruption and establishment of peace and security throughout the globe, Larijani said that all Islamic governments should be equipped with modern means to defend themselves.

He said that the Muslim nations reject the US war-mongering strategy and rather, they encourage peace and tranquility.

Now, here’s a thought. Perhaps if MUSLIMS nations would stop killing people in the name of Allah, you wouldn’t see such “war mongering” from the West. I don’t know these yahoos associate scientific progress with living in the 7th century. Sorry, THEIR version of ‘peace and tranquility’ just doesn’t cut it for a civilized nation. Hey, at least we don’t hang children!

Russia signs Georgia truce, uncertainty remains

Russian President Dmitry Medvedev signed a truce with Georgia on Saturday, a definitive step toward ending the fighting there despite the uncertainty on the ground reflected by Russian soldiers digging in just 30 miles from the Georgian capital.

I dunno. I would have thought a cease fire would have included Russian troops pulling back AWAY from the capital. But then, what do I know.

Democrats say Corsi book full of lies

Barack Obama’s campaign slammed Republican rival John McCain yesterday for not disavowing a new anti-Obama book.

Obama and Democrats have launched a counteroffensive against Jerome Corsi’s “Obama Nation,” saying the book, which will be atop the new New York Times hardcover nonfiction best-seller list tomorrow, is full of lies and innuendo.

Well, I didn’t exactly expect ‘em to say, “Well, hey, yeah…there’s a LOT of truth in there, but he’s still our messiah, even if he isn’t.” Pfft! The Mr is half way through the book, and says there’s a lot of evidence already to back up with it says. Haven’t gotten to it myself. A metoric rise backed by a lot ‘criminal element’ should have EVERYONE questioning him.

Officers prepare for Hayes tribute

City and county law enforcement officials are getting ready for an overflow crowd sprinkled with celebrities at Monday’s tribute service for soul legend Isaac Hayes.

“We could have a large event out there,” said Shelby County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Steve Shular.

Sheriff’s department officials met Friday with officials from the Memphis Police Department and Hope Presbyterian Church to plan for the service. The meeting included members of city and county traffic units and even the SWAT teams.

There has been a lot of hoopla over this event in the local news. The minister has gotten quite a bit of ‘hate mail’ concerning having a Presbyterian “church” host a bunch of Scientologists. What’s the point of “hate mail” anyways? Not very Christian like, is it. Seems the faithful are offended that non-believers are going to sully a church. Well, the pastor says it isn’t a religious event. Ok, so why don’t they hold it in a non religious setting? Actually, I’m not too upset about it. The Presbyterians pretty much left the “church” idea quite a while ago. That’s when I left them.

Israel calls on UNIFIL to report smuggling

Israel on Friday protested before Claudio Graziano, head of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL), for refusing to admit to the rearmament of Hizbullah in southern Lebanon. UNIFIL is responsible for enforcing the arms embargo in the region according to the UN Security Council’s Resolution 1701.

Graziano claimed during a press conference on Thursday that Israel is the main culprit in violations of the resolution, ignoring completely, according to Israeli sources, the “Hizbullah’s strategic violations”.

Uh…..WHAT? Let me get this straight. The Useless Numnuts are claiming it’s Israel’s fault that the bad guys are smuggling weapons and re-arming? I must have read this article wrong. Can someone clarify? (deer in the headlight look)

John Edwards’ affair disappoints Georgia backers

Some former Georgia supporters of one-time Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards are furious about his confessed affair with aide Rielle Hunter, and at least one wants her campaign donation back.

“That’s money I could have put in my children’s college fund,” state Rep. Stephanie Stuckey Benfield (D-Atlanta) said of her contributions to Edwards.

Dang! If she manages to get her’s back, can I ask the RNC to return all the money we’ve sent them over the years? Needless to say, WE’RE real disappointed too!

Phelps Wins 7th Gold With 0.01 to Spare

After 3,200 meters and 16 races, Michael Phelps’s pursuit of Mark Spitz came down to a single stroke. With five meters to go in the 100-meter butterfly final Saturday morning, Phelps realized he had misjudged the finish.

He had two choices: glide to the wall, kicking like crazy, or take an extra, awkward half-stroke. To his left, Milorad Cavic was having the race of his life. Phelps, who was seventh at the turn, had no room for error.

Hey, a win is a win. Whether it’s by .01 seconds, or 10 seconds. Cool! Congrats. Now, go get a couple more! :)

One Man Terror Cell The New Face of al Qaeda

The creation of one-man terror cells seems to be the new strategy of Al Qaeda terrorists.

Intelligence officials have discovered an online Al Qaeda manual that prescribes that group leaders should training new recruits to operate as smaller cells around the globe.

The manual, called Method for Building the Personality of a Terrorist Mujahid and written by an Islamist forum contributor nicknamed “Shamil al-Baghdadi,” encourages militant followers to stop focusing on pulling off attacks on the scale of 9-11 and to start executing numerous smaller attacks.

I think we’ve already seen a few of the ‘one man’ cells. I’m pretty sure we’ll be seeing a lot more of them, in the not too distant future. Be vigilant!

3-Year-Old Boy Tried to Save Himself Before Dying in Hot Truck

A 3-year-old who was left in his mother’s truck in 90-degree heat as she worked her shift at a Houston hospital died after wriggling free from his car seat, climbing into the front seat and apparently trying to start the ignition or open the windows, officials said.

Cameron Thomas Boone is the second child to die in a locked, hot vehicle in the Houston area within less than 24 hours. Temperatures reached 94 degrees Thursday.

Sheriff’s Lt. John Denholm said the boy’s mother found him unconscious when she returned to the truck after her shift at North Cypress Medical Center about 3:30 p.m.

She broke the back windshield and called for help, but the child was dead when she brought him into the hospital emergency room. Authorities said she used a rock to break the windshield because the remote door locks with a key already in the ignition.

Denholm says the woman had meant to drop the child off at day care but had forgotten he was in the truck.

WTF is wrong with these people? How do you “FORGET” your child? People will go back for their freakin’ cell phones, but don’t notice their BABY is in THEIR car?

Ahmedabad blasts: Mastermind Bashir arrested, say police

Gujarat police on Saturday claimed to have busted a pan-India network behind the serial blasts in Ahmedabad and other cities in the country with the arrest of 10 people including Mufti Abu Bashir, described as the mastermind behind the explosions in the state capital.

“We have almost entirely solved the case. We have arrested 10 people who were involved in the July 26 blasts including the mastermind, Mufti Abu Bashir,” Gujarat Director General of Police P C Pande said.

He said most of the arrested persons were part of the banned Student’s Islamic Movement of India (SIMI) and Bashir, picked up in a joint operation by the UP and Gujarat police, had planned out the entire blasts.

Students, eh? Wonder where their REAL school is?

Cow escapee found ‘hiding’ in drain

One of two cows which fled an abattoir in northern France was found ‘hiding’ in a drain. It was rescued – from the drain, at least, if not the abattoir.

I gotta wonder. How the heck did it get DOWN there?

Verse of the Day

Genesis 12:1-3

1 Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house, unto a land that I will shew thee:

2 And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:

3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.

Genesis 13:14-18

14 And the LORD said unto Abram, after that Lot was separated from him, Lift up now thine eyes, and look from the place where thou art northward, and southward, and eastward, and westward:

15 For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed for ever.

16 And I will make thy seed as the dust of the earth: so that if a man can number the dust of the earth, then shall thy seed also be numbered.

17 Arise, walk through the land in the length of it and in the breadth of it; for I will give it unto thee.

18 Then Abram removed his tent, and came and dwelt in the plain of Mamre, which is in Hebron, and built there an altar unto the LORD.

Genesis 15:4-6

4 And, behold, the word of the LORD came unto him, saying, This shall not be thine heir; but he that shall come forth out of thine own bowels shall be thine heir.

5 And he brought him forth abroad, and said, Look now toward heaven, and tell the stars, if thou be able to number them: and he said unto him, So shall thy seed be.

6 And he believed in the LORD; and he counted it to him for righteousness.
