Yeah…. I would say this is a MOST interesting concept. We’ve been forced to accept a nominee that not one single person I know, supported. Yes, there were a variety of supporters for Romney to Thompson to Huckabee, but NOT ONE for McCain. So, how did the ‘right’ end up with a ‘left’ nominee anyway ?
The idea of having to compromise my principles has been extremely repugnant to me, so when such an idea comes along, I will surely have to investigate further.

It’s time to reshape this nation and her path, it’s voter apathy that has allowed our nation to fall to where it is, that and the willingness to accept the lesser of the evils. I too am guilty of it, I voted for Bush twice. But NEVER again will I compromise MY integrity by accepting the LESSER of anything.
If you’re too afraid to challenge the status quo, if you’re afraid to make waves and rock the boat, then you are NOT the Conservative and Patriot that you think you are, and for that, I truly am sorry. None of us knows how long we have left on this earth, but in the time I have remaining I DO intend to change the course of this nation in ANY way I can, and that starts with being true to myself and MY beliefs, the founding fathers would have it NO OTHER WAY!
If I vote as a *write in*, Obama may very well become the POTUS, but it won’t be because I sat back and did nothing as I accepted the lesser of the evils and went along with the status quo. If enough people in this nation, Conservatives of ALL feather, vote for the correct *write in* candidate, we may STILL lose, but the message WILL be there, and when the next election rolls around, we WILL be even stronger and we WILL gain even MORE attention.
That is how a political party is born. And it damn sure won’t happen by accepting IT WON’T WORK as a motto.
We had to suffer thru 4 years of Jimmy Carter to get the man that was quite likely the greatest President of the 20th century, Ronald Reagan.
We’re looking at damn near the same scenario once again…
Meant to say, now all we gotta do is convince the naysayers, and there really are some naysayers…
I have NO idea what has happened to the American SPIRIT, but some of the folks I see on a daily basis are so apathetic it’s sickening…
Their defeatist attitude is NOT what built this nation, is not what took us thru 2 world wars and gave us *The Greatest Generation* and a defeatist *accept the lesser of the evils* attitude will NOT return this nation to it’s place of power and leadership in the world today…
Feint heart ne’er won ANY battle, and we ARE in a battle… Pick you allies well, some are not the patriots they believe themselves to be…
@TexasFred:
I tend agree with you on many levels Fred, and you know this. That being said, I won’t go so far as to question anyone’s patriotism on the basis of whether or not they vote for ‘the lesser of two evils’. I don’t have that right. Each person must live with their decision, right or wrong.
Personally, I’m closer to making a decision of what I will do come election day, and you have helped!
As have many others, in my life, including the blogosphere. Although, I’m not going to base my decision on anyone but ME, and how I will deal with that decision. Know this….God comes first in my life….country is RIGHT there, a half step below. Because without my God, I have no country! I cannot allow ANYONE to take that from me, or my family. I WILL fight, in any way I have available to preserve the GOD given rights!
