An Ol' Broad's Ramblings

Digg Is Really Starting To Piss Me Off!

6 September 2008, 10:38 am. 2 Comments. Filed under Blog Stuff.

I joined up with Digg, hoping that some of my posts would get out to a wider audience.  Not for the numbers, but for information sharing, which at this time of the year, so close to the election, it’s really important that folks know exactly what’s going on, right?

Well, Digg doesn’t have a whole lot of options when it comes to news, and opinion.  So, I click on the one that is closest to the topic.  Repeatedly, it tells me that topic isn’t valid, and won’t let my “digg” go through.  If a story about a crime can’t go through as “World News”, what other options do I have?  “Business & Finance”, “Political Opinion”, Political News”, and “2008 U.S. Elections”.  Excuse me, but the previously posted story about the stupid terrorist does NOT fit into any of those categories.  Nor, does it fit into the sports, the gaming crap, technology, or any of the other categories.  No, the best category would be “World News”.

What a crock!

    I joined Digg, but I know better than to think any thing I write will ever get “dugg” there.

    Unless, it’s on DailyKos or the Huffingtonpost, there is absolutely no way your work is going anywhere on Digg.

    @elliot:

    I tend to agree with ya. I don’t know how they manage to ‘digg’ crap from those sites into the thousands, but hey….just means there are more moonbats out there than we though. :?
