Biden Blathers….As Usual!
Biden accuses Palin of being half-hearted pro-lifer
A pro-life activist is denouncing Democratic vice-presidential nominee Joe Biden for suggesting Alaska Governor Sarah Palin would be a better advocate for developmentally disabled children if she supported embryonic stem-cell research.
At a town hall meeting in Missouri recently, Senator Biden (D-Delaware) took a shot at Sarah Palin – a mother of a child with Down syndrome – for opposing human embryonic stem-cell research.
“I hear all this talk about how the Republicans are going to work in dealing with parents who have both the joy – because there’s joy to it as well – the joy and difficulty of raising a child who has a developmental disability, who were born with a birth defect,” Biden said. “Well guess what, folks? If you care about it, why don’t you support stem-cell research?”
As time goes on, it has become more and more apparent Sen Biden is right, B. Hussein SHOULD have picked someone much better than him as a running mate.
I don’t suppose anyone has bothered to inform him that there has amazing results with ADULT stem cell research. With embryonic? Not so much. I guess the Dhimmicrats just like killing babies, no matter what the reason.
Ike 2
I just heard from my brother in law. Everyone is off the boats, and he’s back home. I’ve got way too much family in the path of this sucker!
I don’t suppose there’s any chance it’ll make a U-turn, is there?
Some Things MUST Be Posted
Why? Because, well, cuz sometimes, they just happen to be TRUE! Seriously!
How many times have you been going down the highway, and all of a sudden, traffic is backed up for miles. An hour or two later….you finally reach the block, and………NOTHING! No reason! Ever wonder if someone with the road honchos have an extremely warped sense of humor?

A Gaffe?
Or was it something a whole lot more? Why would a candidate for VP make a statement that someone else would have been a better choice? UNLESS…..said VP candidate has been convinced he should step down, so other said person, ‘who would have been a better choice’, is planning on stepping in to save the day?
After watching an extended version of the following video on, it hit me!
What if….. ?
Ike
I just spoke to my friend in Houston. As of now, there are no mandatory evacuations in her area. She’s got a full tank of gas, a fresh supply of batteries, an ice chest all ready for her fridge stuff, and was on her way to pick up a couple of bags of ice. In her words, “As long as I’ve got enough smokes, and at least some iced type coffee, I’ll be fine!” sigh….
I haven’t spoken to my sister or brother in law, who live outside of Huntsville, which is farther north. However, he is a tug boat captain out of Galveston, so I’m thinking he’s probably been…what would you call it….docked? Battened down?

I Remember
Martin Morales Zempoaltecatl
Repost:
9/11/01 – Martin Morales Zempoaltecatl
I had never heard this name. There are others that you recognized after hearing them on the news time and time again. People like Todd Beemer, Barbara Olsen, Chick Burlingame. But has anyone ever heard the name Martin Morales Zempoaltecatl? Truth be told, I can’t even pronounce it. I decided to start my search for this young man on Google. It made sense. I typed in the long name, and came up with over 700 hits, the majority were sites listing the names of those who perished on 11 September 2001. They’re long lists. But nothing told me about the person Martin had been. He was 22 years old. Too young to die. He worked as an assistant chef in the Windows of the World. This is all the information I could find. I wanted to know more. Was he married? Did he have children who will never see their daddy again? Where did he come from, what place did he call home, and will never be able to return? I know he lived in Queens. But where in Queens? What were his dreams that will never be fulfilled? I received this picture from the 2996 group, but hadn’t really had a chance to actually look at this young man. The first thing I noticed, as I usually do, are his eyes. He has kind eyes. Was he a kind person? He must have been, he supported his parents. Then I saw a sweet, cheerful smile, and I knew he was a good person. For some reason, I see him liking children, nieces, nephews, the neighborhood kids.
Doing a little more digging, I found out Martin was born in Santa Catarina, Tlaxcala, Mexico. He supported his parents, Crescencio Morales, 60, and Mauricia Zempoaltecatl, also 60. Martin was the youngest of their children, and this tragedy hit them quite hard. They have since returned to Mexico. One thing I did discover, as of that article, the family had not received any of the thousands of dollars that had been given so generously by the American people. I hope that has now been resolved. I’d like to find out if the family is now able to care for their other children and grandchildren. This young man evidently wasn’t counted among the slaughtered innocents originally.
Maybe he was in the country illegally, I’m not sure. It doesn’t matter. Legal, illegal, no one should have been murdered in such a manner on 11 September 2001. He is now counted. I am counting him. I will always remember Martin Morales Zempoaltecatl. May he rest in the loving arms of the Lord.
