Blogging Notice….
…..or lack there of.
Bright and early tomorrow morning (at least by 6:30), I get the dubious pleasure of dragging my sorry hind end out of bed and heading to the hospital for surgery on my knee. No coffee.
![]()
How am I suppose to even get in the shower without my coffee???? sigh… Hey, at least they’ll let me brush my teeth! How nice of them.
It’s just day surgery, but let’s face it, would YOU want to do any serious posting all in pain and drugged up? I mean, other than one particular blogger? Heh. (just joshin’) Probably not a good idea. Who knows what I’d say. Heh.
So, odds are, if I do any posting, it won’t be till late tomorrow evening, or on Wednesday. Maybe. Depends.
This Is Seriously Sick!
Puppy found stabbed to death in Old Hickory home
Metro Animal Control officers are investigating the death of a puppy found dead in the basement of an Old Hickory home, apparently stabbed and gutted.
The puppy was an 8-week-old pit bull and discovered by the owner of the home on Bryant Street. The owner is not a suspect, according to animal control officer Billy Biggs.
A necropsy is scheduled for Tuesday morning to determine whether the dog died from the stabbing. A knife was found nearby with evidence the dog was stabbed and an animal attack is unlikely, Biggs said.
“Anytime you see something like that, it’s terrible,” Biggs said.
Biggs is working with Metro police on the investigation. A person of interest has been identified but no arrests have been made, Biggs said.
I am constantly amazed by the cruelty of those who claim to be human. Who ever could do something like this isn’t human. They are scum, less than scum! Something is seriously wrong with such a being and should be put out of our misery. Isn’t this the beginning of a serial killer?
Some Debunking
This is an astonishing list from the blog Explorations. I could not figure out how to post just a piece, so I pasted the entire thing and am giving the proper link at the bottom. I even included his internal links. WOW!
- Yes, she is Governor of Alaska. No, she’s not the Lieutenant Governor. No, she’s not currently Mayor of Wasilla. Yes, she was Mayor of Wasilla, some years ago.
- Yes, as Governor of Alaska, she’s the Commander in Chief of the Alaska National Guard. And yes, her professional military subordinate is quite impressed with her in that role.
- And yes, the New York Times says the job of Governor of Alaska is one of the harder, and more powerful, jobs in state government.
- Yes, there are people in Alaska who think she’s too liberal.
There’s lots more. A fairly good list of all the nonsense that been going around, and even reported in the feckless MSM. Go take a snoop!

Odd Contraption
My computer/site started copping an attitude earlier today. Not sure why. So, I’ve been unable to spout my opinion about anything. You know that was killin’ me, right? It helped to take a nap….just to pass the time, don’cha know. Heh.
Everything seems to be back to normal, for now. Ok, as normal as anything can be with me around. ![]()

Ban says he’s tired of U.N. bashing
On the eve of the annual meeting here of world leaders, U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon complained that he is perceived as “invisible” and that neither he nor his organization gets enough credit for efforts to reform and to alleviate global ills.
The United Nations is “underappreciated” by governments and often the press, Mr. Ban said, in part because the world body doesn’t trumpet its successes. Member states, he added, are often the root causes of the organization’s all-too-frequent deadlocks.
The Useless Numnuts have “successes”? When? Was it that “oil for food” business? How about all those dead Rwandans? Was that ‘successful’? Perhaps it’s the rape of innocent children that you consider a ‘success’? When you’ve got an organization run by terrorists nations, you’re going to get some deadlocks! Freedom loving folks just don’t want y’all to run their lives. Simple. Now go away and let the bashing continue!
Spies Warn That Al Qaeda Aims for October Surprise
In the aftermath of two major terrorist attacks on Western targets, America’s counterterrorism community is warning that Al Qaeda may launch more overseas operations to influence the presidential elections in November.
Call it Osama bin Laden’s “October surprise.” In late August, during the weekend between the Democratic and Republican conventions, America’s military and intelligence agencies intercepted a series of messages from Al Qaeda’s leadership to intermediate members of the organization asking local cells to be prepared for imminent instructions.
Jeeez. Is OBL even still alive? Well, no matter, they want us dead, and will do all they can to make it so. Or convert us infidels to their ‘religion of pieces’. Ain’t gonna happen with this ol’ broad…..so…
Fallout Over Iran Rally and Palin Invitation Roils Jewish Community
America’s Jewish community appears to be more concerned about partisan politics than about the threat posed by Iran, according to some Jewish representatives.
They point to the controversy stemming from Monday’s “Stop Iran Now” rally in New York City, an event that both Sen. Hillary Clinton (D-N.Y.) and Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin were invited to attend.
Since the Shrilldebeast wouldn’t get top billing and would have to share the spotlight, she weenied out. I guess even she, like the majority of Dhimmicrats, doesn’t understand the concept of ‘united we stand, divided we fall’.
UT student served with search warrant in Palin case
The FBI reportedly served a federal search warrant early Sunday morning on David Kernell, a University of Tennessee student accused of hacking into a personal e-mail account of Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin.
A person identifying himself as a witness told WBIR-TV in Knoxville that FBI agents served the warrant at Kernell’s apartment, where several students were having a party. The agents took the students’ names and then asked the witness and the students who did not live in the apartment to wait outside while they took pictures, according to WBIR.
I’m still going to reserve judgment. But reading some of the comments attached to the article, it’s obvious the PDS is rampant. Evidently, hacking into someone’s private email is just fine with them, but it’s not ok for the gubmint to do the same when trying to keep their sorry asses safe. Hmm…
Iraqi MP may be sentenced to death for visiting Israel
First his two sons were murdered. Now he faces prosecution. The reason for Mithal al-Alusi’s troubles? Visiting Israel and advocating peace with the Jewish state – something Iraq’s leaders refuse to consider.
The Iraqi is at the center of a political storm after his fellow lawmakers voted overwhelmingly to strip him of his immunity and allow his prosecution for visiting Israel – a crime punishable by death under a 1950s-era law. Such a fate is unlikely for al-Alusi, though he may lose his party’s sole seat in parliament.
Because he had visited Israel, many Iraqis assume the maverick legislator was the real target of the assassins who killed his sons in 2005 while he escaped unharmed.
Every time I become optimistic about Iraq, they go and do something even more ignorant. Screw ‘em!
Palin energizes California Republicans
Post-convention swing state polls are tipping toward Sen. John McCain, the TV pundits are waxing about “The Palin Factor,” and Sen. Barack Obama’s California supporters are freaking out about a race Democrats were uncommonly confident about only a month ago.
Heh!
Despite generating all this fear and enthusiasm, the Palin Factor hasn’t changed the race in California. Obama beats McCain 52 percent to 36 percent in a Field Poll released last week, and neither campaign is broadcasting ads in the state’s expensive television markets. On Thursday, Palin canceled her rally and fundraising visit to the state planned for this week.
Well, what can you expect from a region that is basically run by moonbats? Sorry Jenn, Bushy, etc.
I wish y’all were the majority, but common sense seems to be in short supply on the LEFT coast. sigh….
Change in plans reportedly saved Pakistani leaders
Pakistan’s top leaders were to dine at the Marriott devastated by a truck bombing over the weekend, but changed the venue at the last minute, a senior official said Monday. A hotel official, however, denied there were any plans for a government dinner.
The blast in the capital Islamabad killed at least 53 people and underscored the extremist challenge facing nuclear-armed Pakistan. Two intelligence officials said Pakistani troops and tribesmen opened fire on two U.S. helicopters after they crossed from Afghanistan into the northwest tribal region, where Taliban and al-Qaida militants are operating.
Lucky for them, not so lucky for those who were murdered. Perhaps Pakistan should consider a bit of border control of their own?
Terrorism: Arab leaders on Al-Qaeda ‘enemies’ list
Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi are among several Arab leaders considered enemies of Al-Qaeda, according to a new video released by the terror network.
Their names are included on a list of enemies in the video released by Al-Qaeda’s production arm, al-Sahab, on the seventh anniversary of the 9/11 attacks.
Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, and Iraq’s Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Husaini al-Sistani, and leader of Lebanon’s Hezbollah, Hassan Nasrallah, are also included on the list.

To The Taxpayer: SCREW YOU!
Foreign banks want to be covered by U.S. bailout
It looks as if the American financial bailout may be going global, a move that could raise its cost and intensify scrutiny by Congress and critics.
Foreign banks, which were originally excluded from the plan, lobbied successfully over the weekend to be able to sell the toxic American mortgage debt owned by their American branches to the U.S. Treasury, getting the same treatment as U.S. banks.
Whoa!!! Wait a minute! Does this mean OUR tax dollars are going to bail out banks in Paris? London? Who knows where else? Excuse me???? I really hope like hell I read that wrong, but if I didn’t, a LOT of someones better start hiding under their desks! Just who the hell is in charge? WE ARE! It’s about damn time they remember that!
There was no estimate on how much that might add to the $700 million proposal that some economists already say could top $1 trillion.
On Sunday, congressional Democrats also began putting their fingerprints on the proposal, pushing for assistance for distressed homeowners and for oversight authority of the bailout program.
$1,000,000,000,000? Do I have enough zeroes there? Just because they can print money at will, doesn’t mean that piece of paper is going to be worth the price of printing it.
“Congress will respond to the financial markets crisis by taking action this week in a bipartisan manner that will protect the taxpayers’ interests,” House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said. She added that the administration’s proposal did “not include the necessary safeguards. Democrats believe a responsible solution should include independent oversight, protections for homeowners and constraints on excessive executive compensation.”
Since this woman is as clueless as the rest of her cronies, I wish she wouldn’t open her mouth. Let the grownups deal with the problems. Are there any grownups in D.C.? I’m starting to wonder.
“We have a global financial system, and we are talking very aggressively with other countries around the world, and encouraging them to do similar things, and I believe a number of them will,” Mr. Paulson said on Sunday.
The “One World” types have really done a job, haven’t they. While many thought it would be a ‘charismatic world leader’ who screwed us all over, it turns out to be banks. I suppose I shouldn’t be surprised.
“I’m skeptical of the bailout, the whole bill is only a couple of pages long,” said Rep. Scott Garrett, R-N.J., who is a member of the House Financial Services Committee.
Does he mean if a bill isn’t thousands of pages, with a lot of useless, or misleading language, it’s no good? Honestly, I’ve never understood why they can’t just say what they mean. Although, that of course, would have people who actually understand simple English up in arms. That aside, I’m more than skeptical of bailing out every company that screws up so badly they file for bankruptcy, even though their head honchos end up walking away with millions.
The Bush administration widened the scope of its $700 billion plan to avert a financial meltdown by including assets other than mortgage-related securities.
The U.S. Treasury submitted revised guidance to Congress on its plan Sunday, referring to its proposal to purchase so-called troubled assets, a change from its original plan for investments tied to home loans, according to a document obtained by Bloomberg News and confirmed by a congressional aide.
The change suggests the inclusion of instruments such as car and student loans, and credit card debt. That may force an increase in the cost of the package.
This is not the country where I was born, where success or failure depended on hard work and honest business practices. Feckless ‘businessmen’ can now screw over the company, the stock holders, and the employees with the knowledge that the U.S. gubmint will take care of it all, not just within our borders, but world wide.
Wrong! Wrong! Wrong!

Verse of the Day
Ephesians 4:22-27
22 That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;
23 And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;
24 And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.
25 Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour: for we are members one of another.
26 Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath:
27 Neither give place to the devil.
28 Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth.
29 Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.
30 And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.
31 Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:
32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.
