Bailout For……ACORN??????
From Michelle Malkin:
Just heard from several readers that Lindsay Grahamnesty told Fox that the Mother of All Bailouts includes a reported $100 million more in funding for the left-wing housing entitlement thugs and heavily tax-subsidized fraudsters at ACORN. Under the original bailout proposal, apparently, a large portion of any repayment of the $700 billion would go to Barack Obama’s good friends at ACORN with a smaller allocation to debt repayment. Readers heard him say it was 20 percent.

Is There Still Hope?
Bailout Fate Unclear After Bush Meets With Candidates, Congressional Leaders
The fate of the Bush administration’s $700 billon bailout package was thrown into doubt Thursday evening, after congressional leaders left a landmark White House summit on the economy hurling accusations at each other and declaring there was no deal.
Debate over the proposed bailout of the financial industry continued into the night, with congressional Democrats saying they’re still working toward an agreement and Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson and Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke due to meet with lawmakers.
The summit at the White House, which included Barack Obama and John McCain, was intended to be a consensus-building exercise — one of the final stops on the rocky road to approving the controversial rescue package. Congressional leaders just hours earlier had announced they had reached an agreement in principle on the rescue package.
But as Obama and McCain left, officials and aides who had attended the meeting said the summit ended on a very low note.
“This meeting ended bad — real bad,” one source told FOX News. Others described the tone as “angry” and “heated,” saying Democrats were upset with House Republicans in particular who would not drop their opposition to the administration’s proposal.
Excellent! I guess this means there is still some hope that there are a few conservatives left in D.C.?

Obama’s Code Pink Fundraiser Met With Ahmadinejad
by Amanda Carpenter
Jodi Evans, a founder of the radical anti-war group Code Pink and “bundler” for Barack Obama’s presidential campaign, met with Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad Wednesday.
“It’s rare for a head of state to take time during an official U.N. visit to meet with the peace community, especially in a situation where the host government—represented by the Bush administration—is so hostile,” Evans said in a statement. “The fact that the meeting took place and was so positive is, in itself, a major step forward.”
During the Democratic primary Obama came under fire from both his Democratic and Republican foes for promising to meet with Ahmadinejad “without preconditions” if he became president.
At the meeting Evans and fellow Code Pink founder Medea Benjamin offered Ahmadinejad a plan to build a “peace park” in Tehran and invest funds in Iranian businesses “that produce green and sustainable products, such as bicycles.”
Evans signed on to become a “bundler” for Obama’s presidential campaign last June. As a bundler, she has pledged to raise at least $50,000 for his campaign.
150 other “peace group representatives” also attended the event which was held at New York’s Grand Hyatt Hotel. Ahmahdinejad was in the city to address the United Nations.
He also appeared on Larry King Live during his visit.

10 Things You Need to Know About Senator Obama’s Tax Proposals
Under the tax plans of Barack Obama and his Democratic friends in Congress, American families will only be left with… the change in their pockets.
In 2009, Barack Obama and the Democratic Congress have an idea for a bill. Well, really, it’s a lot of bills that will be paid for by nearly every American in the form of higher taxes and higher costs for food, energy and other products.
So if you have a retirement account, work in or shop at a small business, are close or in retirement, or even flip on a light switch, then there are a few things that you should consider.
You might have seen the commercial of the guy with the megaphone, falling off the bridge. It really would be a good idea to know who is going to have to pay for all the gubmint programs. However, if you really don’t know who really pays, then why are you voting?
Go here, and see the 10 things!

They Gave Your Mortgage to a Less Qualified Minority
On MSNBC this week, Newsweek’s Jonathan Alter tried to connect John McCain to the current financial disaster, saying: “If you remember the Keating Five scandal that (McCain) was a part of. … He’s really getting a free ride on the fact that he was in the middle of the last great financial scandal in our country.”
McCain was “in the middle of” the Keating Five case in the sense that he was “exonerated.” The lawyer for the Senate Ethics Committee wanted McCain removed from the investigation altogether, but, as The New York Times reported: “Sen. McCain was the only Republican embroiled in the affair, and Democrats on the panel would not release him.”
So John McCain has been held hostage by both the Viet Cong and the Democrats.

Florida congressman points to Palin to rally Jews to Obama
Rep. Alcee Hastings told an audience of Jewish Democrats Wednesday that they should be wary of Republican VP nominee Sarah Palin because “anybody toting guns and stripping moose don’t care too much about what they do with Jews and blacks.”
“If Sarah Palin isn’t enough of a reason for you to get over whatever your problem is with Barack Obama, then you damn well had better pay attention,” Rep. Alcee Hastings of Florida said at a panel about the shared agenda of Jewish and African-American Democrats Wednesday. Hastings, who is African-American, was explaining what he intended to tell his Jewish constituents about the presidential race. “Anybody toting guns and stripping moose don’t care too much about what they do with Jews and blacks. So, you just think this through,” Hastings added as the room erupted in laughter and applause.

I thought I had heard about the worst that could come from the loony left, but this large pile of male bovine excrement is beyond anything they’ve come up with previously! I am just speechless. NO words could ever express my disgust with this POS! I want to see this scum sucking son of a b*tch run out on a rail!
A “Hometown Hero”
Every once in a while, there is someone who will actually stand up to the status quo. I met a guy a few years back, in Wisconsin, who I thought should run for office. Well, finally he ran, and won! County supervisor, Jim Kiser is one of those rare people who will NOT cave into the opposition. I don’t think “compromise” is in his vocabulary. He knows what’s right, and what’s wrong, standing up for what’s right every time. He’ll fight for his constituents rights against the most staunch of the left.
Here’s an example, from the Wisconsin Family Council:
Our first story takes place in Fond du Lac County. It starts with a few county supervisors trying to pop a sham, if you will. These supervisors, in cahoots with some people with an agenda in the county, claimed Fond du Lac County was facing a workforce crisis in the future because of the imminent retirement of baby boomers, an interesting proposition in itself, considering that Fond du Lac has, as one county supervisor noted, more people than jobs. The answer these supervisors proposed was a ‘Comprehensive Countywide Diversity Initiative.”
It should come as no surprise that an initiative with the word diversity in it includes sexual orientation in the list of special classes. And not only that, the initiative originally specifically stated that “Fond du Lac County communities shall welcome and include all people in neighborhoods, places of worship, schools…” etc. Places of worship! Since when did county government have the right to mandate the policies of places of worship? Amazingly, a timely revision has removed the “places of worship” phrase.
The hometown hero on this one? A courageous county supervisor who was eventually joined by several brave residents. Supervisor Jim Kiser alerted the community and rallied a host of concerned citizens to the board meeting. It was a happening meeting, according to an eyewitness account, with 14 citizens registered beforehand to speak against the initiative and 3 registered to speak in favor.
True to form, however, the chair decided that the discrepancy between those speaking for and against wasn’t “fair” and tried to make up for the lack of supporters by denying input from all but 3 of those speaking against. Thankfully, this hometown hero and courageous supervisor, even while taking potshots from at least one other supervisor, spoke up for those who had taken the time to come prepared to speak and the rest of the board agreed with him.
The end result was a 12 to 6 vote in favor of tabling the discriminatory resolution indefinitely! The heartiest of congratulations to Jim Kiser, a hometown hero and all the brave citizens of Fond du Lac County who took the time to get involved in their local government. You have shown courage in the face of hostility, wisdom in the face of an aggressive political agenda—and God has honored your efforts!
I sure wish we had a few like him in Tennessee! I’m hoping he’ll run for a higher office…..like assembly, state senate…… governor???

Accusations That Gov. Sarah Palin Charged Victims for Rape Kits Proven False
The charge stems from a May 22, 2000 article in the local Wasilla paper The Frontiersman and has been spun from a comment made by the Wasilla Police Chief. This comment was somehow made into a Sarah Palin policy.
Evidence of the incident, though, shows no involvement by Palin at all. Still, many Old Media outlets continue to keep illegitimately linking this rape kit billing claim to Sarah Palin, even though the truth is easily discovered.
Palin scares the bejabbers out of the left, so it’s not surprising that they’ll find the least word to spin into something to attack her. Juvenile is an understatement.
Gordon Brown backs $700bn Wall Street bailout plan
Gordon Brown has announced his support for the President Bush’s $700 billion bailout of the financial markets, urging the US Congress and international community to swing behind the plan.
The Prime Minister sought to show global leadership amid the international financial turmoil, meeting with world leaders last night and 18 Wall Street hedge fund managers this morning to explore how to prevent further damage to a shattered financial system.
Well, of course he backs it! It’s not his freakin’ money! Politicians, no matter where they are, LOVE spending other people’s money! Moron.
McCain Sets Off a High-Stakes Gamble
The Republican nominee is bidding for a bold demonstration of nonpartisan leadership on the crisis now roiling the American economy, but analysts warned that it could backfire if voters view the move, which comes as Mr. McCain is slipping in the polls, as a mere political ploy.
Mr. McCain surprised the political establishment — and apparently the Obama campaign — with his announcement yesterday afternoon that he was scrapping campaign events and pulling his advertisements to return to Washington and join the congressional negotiations on the Bush administration’s rescue plan.
My respect for McCain went up a notch or two when I heard about this. To me, it shows leadership, and it’s not all about winning the presidency, but about doing the job he was hired by the folks of Arizona to do. I don’t, however, think he should cancel the debate. Too much preparation has gone into this. Besides, with BHO whining about multi-tasking…evidently, he can’t do his job and prep for a debate at the same time. He was offered 10 debates, but couldn’t handle that many. Too much ‘multi-tasking’ I suppose.
HRW: 130 children on death row in Iran
“It’s important to remember that the prohibition on executing people for crimes committed as children has been ratified and agreed to by just about every country in the world. In addition, it’s a well-established part of customary law and the countries that execute children acknowledge that,” she said. “In three of the countries that we looked at – Sudan, Pakistan and Yemen – there are laws on the books that prohibit executing juvenile offenders.”
The data refers to the execution of people who committed crimes as juveniles, even if they were adult at the time of execution.
The numbers are known executions, but the true numbers could in fact be much higher, because these countries have very low levels of birth registration.
(…)
“In Iran the definition of a child is linked to puberty, and is set at nine for girls and 15 for boys. You can be executed after those ages,” Bencomo said. “In Saudi Arabia it’s set at puberty which is defined by over 15 or as having physical attributes.”
I have a real hard time wrapping my mind around anyone hanging a 9 year old girl! What on earth could a little girl do to warrant such an action?!?
Brother’s plea for kidney tears at teen
Tim Dunn disagrees with people who call him selfish.
For months, the 19-year-old Trevecca University baseball player has refused to donate a kidney to his older brother, Josh, who has kidney failure and must undergo dialysis three times a week to keep the toxic buildup in his body from killing him.
Cocaine, methamphetamine, marijuana, cigarettes and alcohol might have helped ruin the one good kidney Josh was born with. And while Josh, 21, says he’s been clean for about two weeks, Tim is afraid of jeopardizing his baseball career — and maybe his life — by giving his brother a priceless gift that might be squandered.
I agree with Tim. I wouldn’t give him a kidney either! Why should the kid give up a part of his body for someone who has wasted his life? Clean for two weeks? Pfft! Two years and it might make a difference. But two weeks? No way!
Prosecutors: Sen. Stevens thumbed nose at public
Sen. Ted Stevens is a crafty politician whose decades in the Senate taught him how to bag hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of gifts without getting noticed, prosecutors said Thursday in his corruption trial.
During opening arguments, prosecutor Brenda Morris said the Alaska senator accepted free home renovations and other gifts. And she said he lied on Senate forms about those gifts, thumbing his nose at the public’s right to know.
Stevens is the Senate’s longest-serving Republican, having held his seat since 1968.
“You do not survive politics in this town for that long without being very, very smart, very, very deliberate, very forceful and, at the same time, knowing how to fly under the radar,” Morris told jurors.
Honestly, it might be past time to consider term limits! Twelve years max….two six year terms for senators, six two year terms for congressmen.
Obama Effigy Found Hanging on Ore. Campus
Officials of a Christian university say a life-size effigy of Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama was hung from a tree on the campus.
George Fox University President Robin Baker says a custodian discovered the cardboard cutout of Obama early Tuesday at the Oregon school and removed it.
I guess you don’t have to be a true Christian to attend that school. To say such actions disgust me, is an understatement! Yes, I DO condemn such actions!
20-year-old convicted in Toronto terror plot
Judge John Sproat gave his ruling Thursday on the first of 11 accused in the plot at a courthouse in Brampton, Ont., saying evidence that a terrorist conspiracy existed was “overwhelming.”
The man, who was charged as a youth and therefore cannot be identified under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, has become the first person in Canada to be convicted under anti-terror legislation passed by the government in 2001.
The man had pleaded not guilty to taking part in a terrorist conspiracy.
Sproat had heard arguments from the defence that the accused had no knowledge of the plot, which was a “jihadi fantasy” brewed by its leaders, while prosecutors maintained he was a willing participant.
How much ya wanna bet at least one of his names is Mohammed?

Verse of the Day
Psalm 78:2-8
2 I will open my mouth in a parable: I will utter dark sayings of old:
3 Which we have heard and known, and our fathers have told us.
4 We will not hide them from their children, shewing to the generation to come the praises of the LORD, and his strength, and his wonderful works that he hath done.
5 For he established a testimony in Jacob, and appointed a law in Israel, which he commanded our fathers, that they should make them known to their children:
6 That the generation to come might know them, even the children which should be born; who should arise and declare them to their children:
7 That they might set their hope in God, and not forget the works of God, but keep his commandments:
8 And might not be as their fathers, a stubborn and rebellious generation; a generation that set not their heart aright, and whose spirit was not stedfast with God.
