An Ol’ Broad’s Ramblings

A Few Observations

Ok, I watched the debate.  Starting out, I was not impressed with McCain’s performance.  Luckily, he did get into the swing of things as it moved along.

One major thing:  Barack Hussein showed NO respect, calling McCain John (McCain called him Senator, or Senator Obama).  He constantly interrupted, showing his lack of courtesy and manners.  I guess his grandmother didn’t instill something as important as respect and manners.

McCain seemed to actually answer questions.  Obama talked in circles.  Both the Mr and I kept saying….HUH?  It’s even more obvious how little Obama knows about how the economy works.  You do not build the economy “from the bottom up”.  Corporations create jobs, so it’s a good idea not to tax them into the poor house.  Jobs would be lost.  However, BO wants job creation….by the gubmint.  Who pays the government?  Well, taxpayers, and who are the biggest taxpayers?  Big companies (and yes, that includes BIG OIL) pay a large chunk in taxes.

I also noticed that Obama tried to do some back tracking (nothing new).  Yes, he did say he would talk to Iran with no preconditions, but now is saying he didn’t.  I think he was just as confused as I was.

Honestly, I don’t think this debate changed anyone’s mind.  Was there a clear cut ‘winner’?  I think McCain came out ahead, but not by a lot.  So, no, no clearcut winner.

I’m looking forward to the VP debate.

    @TexasFred:

    If his grandmother actually did raise him, she obviously missed a few of the essentials of “polite society”! :? I wonder if he lets his kids get away with that kind of behavior?

    He’d let em get away with an abortion, I am guessing so… :|

    Yeah….wouldn’t want ‘em “punished” by a “mistake”. What a scuzzball!

    I also thought he seemed agitated at times when McCain was scoring on him. And the interruptions were so unprofessional and childish.

    If elected, is that what he’s going to do to foreign leaders with whom he disagrees???

    @Beth in Chicago:

    Mostly likely. The kid has the manners of a 2 year old. Come to think of it, I’ve seen two year old with better manners. Pfft!
