Obama sought HUD grant for donor’s project
Sen. Barack Obama, who vows to change Washington by trimming wasteful spending and disclosing special-interest requests, wrote the Bush administration last year to seek a multimillion-dollar federal grant for a Chicago housing project that is behind schedule and whose development team includes a longtime political supporter.
Mr. Obama’s letter, however, was never disclosed publicly. In fact, the letter was ghostwritten for him by a consultant for the Chicago Housing Authority, which wanted the money – a practice ethics watchdogs have frequently criticized.
The word ‘ethics’ is NOT in a politicians vocabulary. Especially arrogant Dhimmicrat politicians. Why on earth would Bubba Obama consider the lack of ethics a problem? He’s got his kool aid drinking storm troopers to deal with any complaints. But I sure would like to know why this wasn’t made public, eh Mr Bush?
Bredesen tells Dems demonizing GOP isn’t enough
But Tennessee Gov. Phil Bredesen, keynote speaker at the annual Vance-Aycock dinner in the Land of the Sky, struck a conciliatory tone. Bredesen urged Democrats to do more than demonize the GOP.
“That road doesn’t go to the right place, and walking it is a disservice to what America needs from our party right now.”
The party must stop “just being against whatever the Republicans have failed at recently.”
I just lost any respect I had for Bredesen. I had thought, as Dhimmis go, he wasn’t the worst of the lot. I was wrong. He’s just as bad. Excuse me? Demonize? The party of thugs, welfare queens? The party of “it’s not my fault”? The party of DEATH? The party that blames EVERYONE but themselves for the current Congress created fiasco?
‘Jews for Jesus’ Ad Blasted From Radio By Enraged Israelis
Dan Sered, head of the “Jews for Jesus” organization in Israel, replied that his group is just trying to share its faith, and inform Israelis that Jesus is the Messiah. The radio ad is part of a larger missionary campaign that includes full-page ads in the weekend editions of Ma’ariv and Yisrael HaYom, two Hebrew dailies. Christian activists have also been seen dispersing propaganda in Nahariya, Kiryat Shmona, and Haifa. The municipalities of Tiberias and Karmiel recently removed large “Jews for Jesus” ads placed at prominent intersections.
As a Christian, I honestly don’t think was such a good idea. You don’t win people by shoving something down their throat. And I can’t speak for Jesus, but I don’t think He’d be all that thrilled at how His name is being used either. Just a personal opinion. Souls are won by the Words and deeds….not by placards and radio ads.
Obama digs up past McCain scandal
US Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama has attacked John McCain’s links to a 1980s financial scandal.
He also accused his Republican rival of being more focused on running a smear campaign than on fixing the US economy.
Is that the best they’ve got? A scandal in which McCain was exonerated? Gimme a break! This has already been put to rest, where as there is a WHOLE lot that Bubba Hussein has to answer for, and refuses. BHO wants to focus on the economy? Fine…then he better make sure people know where it REALLY started, instead of acting like a Pelosi parrot….brawk…Bush’s fault…squawk….Bush’s fault….Bubba want a cracker!
Global Poll Finds Obama Preferred in All Countries But U.S.
Barack Obama’s proclamation last July to being a “citizen of the world” was affirmed Monday as a new poll — taken before the August conventions — showed that in 16 out of 17 countries surveyed he was the overwhelming choice to be the next president of the United States.
The lone country to prefer a John McCain presidency: the United States of America.
Isn’t it interesting that all those other countries, that mostly would love to see the U.S. destroyed as a nation, prefer the ONE that would bring about just that….our destruction. They can have him! Give me someone with a OUR best interest at heart, not ‘the worlds’!
Ex-officials misled by pro-Obama video
In the video, the senior Israeli officials appear to support Obama’s stated policy that dialogue with Iran would be the best way of confronting the current nuclear crisis. Dayan said that his position is just the opposite.
“I don’t think that we – either the United States or Israel – should be engaged with Iran, because the Iranians will take advantage of that,” the former deputy chief of staff said. “Our issue is to prevent Iran from achieving nuclear capability.”
What a shocker! Obamtrons twisting people’s words to get THEIR desired effect. I’m flabbergasted! (/sarcasm)
Union Official: Teachers Who Engage in Consensual Sex With Teen Pupils Shouldn’t Face Prosecution
A British teachers’ union representative has come under fire after claiming that teachers who engage in consensual sex with students over the age of 16 should not be prosecuted, the U.K.’s Daily Mail reported Sunday.
Chris Keates, the general secretary of the National Association of Schoolmasters Union of Women Teachers, said in an interview to be broadcast in the U.K. on Monday that teachers who have sex with pupils over the age of consent are guilty of a mere “error in professional judgment,” and should not be placed on the sex offenders register, the Mail reported.
I guess that means that using a position of authority and power for sex is just peachy. Sluts for teachers. Yep. That’s a real good role model!
I would be happy to ship Barack Obama to any of these countries who think he’s so great. We can pass the hat–should be able to come up with a one-way coach ticket in no time flat.
