Where Is All That White Liberal Anger Coming From?
It’s a bit of a paradox, but in politics it’s hard not to notice that the angriest people are not small town folk “clinging” to guns and religion or racial minorities in the inner cities, but upper middle class white liberals.
These are some of the same people who will often talk about the anger of inner city blacks or Muslims abroad, or the working class people… but rarely if ever do they talk about their own anger. Yet it’s their anger, their barely suppressed simmering rage that is driving our political process.
From the black ski cap wearing protesters hurling bags of cement at both conventions, the Code Pink women hoping for Cindy Sheehan sized stardom, the upper middle class authors and directors who flirt in fiction with the idea of assassinating Bush to your average DailyKos diarist, the white middle class liberal of both genders is vastly overrepresented when it comes to furious political tantrums. But where then is all that anger coming from?
We are after all talking about people who aren’t starving, who aren’t oppressed, except occasionally in their own minds, and who live better than the other 99 percent of the globe. And yet paradoxically that may be exactly what drives their anger.

Sarah McCain Palin Ciptak
Carter County man surprises wife, names baby Sarah McCain Palin
People can be passionate about their politics. Consider, for example, the name given to a baby girl born last weekend to a Carter County couple: Sarah McCain Palin Ciptak.
While that’s the name father Mark Ciptak of Elizabethton put on documents for his baby girl’s birth certificate, it isn’t the name he and his wife originally agreed on. And it isn’t the name his wife, Layla, thought the baby was given.
“We actually came up with the name Ava Grace, and I secretively went and got another set of forms to send to (Social Security officials and the Tennessee Department of Health), and as of this time, she (Layla) still doesn’t realize what I’ve done. I haven’t broken the news to her yet,” Ciptak said.
“As of right now, I’m just trying to get up enough nerve to tell her what I’ve done and hope for the best. I hope I’m still living to tell the tale tomorrow. She thought it was a done deal with Ava Grace.
Ok, this is taking things a bit far, but honestly, I kind of like that name better than Ava Grace. 
He probably could have left off the Palin part.

Mom Angered to Find Obama Speech in Son’s Middle-School English Text
A Wisconsin mother is furious that her tax dollars helped buy a middle-school textbook that includes a passage from Barack Obama’s speech at the 2004 Democratic National Convention — but has no mention of John McCain.
My understanding is that this is a literature textbook. What happened to William Shakespear? How about Robert Frost?
The textbook, published by an arm of Houghton Mifflin Company, focuses on a portion of Obama’s 1995 autobiography, “Dreams From My Father: A Story of Race and Inheritance,” in which Obama writes about a month-long visit by his Kenyan father when he was 10 and living in Hawaii.
The 20-page section, which kicks off with a student discussion of “What Makes You Proud?” ends with a portion of Obama’s speech, “Out of Many, One,” at the 2004 Democratic Convention in Boston, and a photo of him there, surrounded by Obama placards.
Obama was running for Senate in Illinois in 2004.
Wasn’t there anyone else running for the Senate anywhere else in the country?
“The kicker was the photo towards the end with Obama and at least eight visible Obama signs, and the one with the Web site on it,” she said. “Obviously, it was the 2004 Web site, but you can still go right to it, and I think that to me was just over the top. It didn’t need to be in there.”
The mother said any mention of Obama should have included passages from other politicians, such as McCain.
“McCain is a prisoner of war — that’s a story in itself,” she said. “Or Dick Cheney’s wife has written children’s stories. Was that in any of their books?”
Obama has done NOTHING but have a couple of books published. It’s questionable if he actually wrote them himself, or had a ghost writer.
“The Racine Unified School District is a multicultural school district with 49 percent of our student body comprising students of color,” the school said. “Identifying materials that reflect our student population is a priority.
It seems to me they are implying that the 49% are all Dhimmicrats. Isn’t that rather arrogant of them? Do they think there are no ‘people of color’ who are McCain supporters?
The mother, who says she’s an independent, contacted the blog “Real Debate Wisconsin” to tell it about the textbook, rather than approach teachers, because she said she didn’t want to jeopardize her son’s grades.
This is one of the biggest problems we’ve got today. Parents have NO control over what is taught to their children. If more parents would step forward, and take back control of our schools, I do believe we’d have a better educated population!

UN: crisis must not stop climate change action
Environment ministers agreed Tuesday that the world financial crisis must not halt efforts to combat global warming, the top United Nations climate official said.
Officials from the U.S., China, Canada, India, the European Union and more than 30 other countries met for two days of informal talks in Warsaw ahead of a climate conference in December.
“There was a very strong consensus that the current financial turmoil should not be an excuse to slow down action on climate change,” U.N. climate chief Yvo de Boer told The Associated Press after the talks.
“Many ministers said that addressing climate change can deliver important economic benefits that are important in the light of the current financial situation as well,” de Boer added.
Are they freakin’ kidding???? After all the evidence to the contrary, they still are going forward with this nonsense?
This is nothing more than a plan to take control of every country, mandating global taxes to control something that happens naturally. Yeah, maybe one of the ice caps is melting, but hey, the other has grown. Maybe it’s a little warmer in the summer, but wasn’t last winter the COLDEST ON RECORD?
The arrogance of man is showing, big time. We do NOT control the planet. Common sense says you adapt, and if you can’t, you die! Climate change has been going on for MILLIONS of years. It’s not something we did, and we can’t stop it.
Scientists say the emission of carbon and other greenhouse gases, mostly from fossil fuels, must peak within 10 to 15 years and then drop sharply to avoid potentially catastrophic changes in the climate.
What scientists? The ones they paid, along with the Boracle, to come up with a ‘plan’?
We either adapt, or die! Simple.

If you had surgury 3 weeks ago, have a degenerating spine and allergies, pulling weeds is NOT a good idea!
Yup…..I’m a doofus. I was actually feeling really good today, after starting back on some medication prescribed for the spine problem. It makes me gain weight….one thing I do NOT need help with, so I stop taking it till I can’t stand the pain anymore. I now have bruises on my arms, and I need a nap.
Jiminy crickets! This old age stuff seriously sucks….and honestly, I’m not THAT freakin’ old!

The McCain/Palin folks are talking a lot about William Ayers, as they should. But I sure would like it if they’d bring up this low life spewer of hatred. If you sit in a pew for 20 years, then it DOES rub off on you, AND your children. He claims to have never heard this man spouting his hatred. I don’t believe that for one minute. He joined this so called church for political expediency. He left it for the same reason.
McCain was wrong. We have a LOT of reasons to fear a President Barack Hussein Obama!

- an attempt to strangle free speech by demands that states “encourage objective and balanced portrayals of people, events and history, especially in the media”
- a demand that states adopt laws to invade public and private life for the purposes of “preventing and punishing expressly and specifically contemporary forms of racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia and related intolerance in public and private life”
- an insistence that the world media be governed by “a code of ethical conduct with a view to prohibiting the proliferation of ideas of superiority and the justification of racial or religious hatred”

First Time FBI Calls Case an ‘Honor Killing’
Sarah Said, 17, and her sister Amina, 18, were killed on New Year’s Day, but for nine months authorities deflected questions about whether their father — the prime suspect and the subject of a nationwide manhunt — may have targeted them because of a perceived slight upon his honor.

But the FBI held off on calling it an honor killing until just recently, when it made Yaser Abdel Said the “featured fugitive” on its Web site.
“That’s what I’ve been trying to tell everybody all along,” Gartrell told FOXNews.com. “I would say that’s a victory.”
But some Muslims say that calling the case an honor killing goes too far.
“As far as we’re concerned, until the motive is proven in a court of law, this is [just] a homicide,” Mustafaa Carroll, the executive director of the Council of American-Islamic Relations in Dallas, told FOXNews.com.
First off, there is NO ‘honor’ in murdering your children! Second, the Muslims can say anything they want, but people KNOW. We know what they teach, and slaughtering innocents comes with the territory. I very strongly believe in the 1st Amendment, but when a religion teaches it’s followers to murder, I find it a little difficult to be tolerant!
Early voters need to remember to bring their voter registration cards.
The Mr and I will be voting tomorrow too. We’re not going to be here on the 4th, so we don’t have to be innundated with the BS political commercials that last week. Not saying where we’re going…..YET! You’ll find out.
Iranians riveted to U.S. presidential race
Iranian newspapers and even the state-run Iranian broadcasting network – which typically cover only negative stories in the United States, such as school shootings and broken families – are writing and broadcasting about the U.S. campaign nearly every day and competing to report the latest events.
The Democratic nominee, Sen. Barack Obama, has plenty of supporters here, but some Iranians prefer Republican Sen. John McCain and his running mate, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin.
Nafiseh Esbati, a women’s rights activist who is working on her master’s degree in women’s studies at the University of Tehran, was a backer of Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, a Democrat, but has pivoted to Mrs. Palin.
“McCain’s choice of a female vice president demonstrates the power of women in the United States,” she said. “That makes me happy.”
“Women’s rights” advocates here should be thrilled that there is a woman in the race, but what do we hear? Nothing but the ugliness that comes from the envious. Pathetic.
Senate candidates differ on energy, environment
Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas, has been one of the most ardent supporters of more drilling. And though his Democratic challenger, state Rep. Rick Noriega of Houston, also says he supports additional offshore drilling, he differs with Cornyn on a number of energy and environmental issues, including caps on carbon dioxide emissions and taxes on big oil companies.
Both support more drilling off the Outer Continental Shelf and say they want to promote renewable energy sources, but Cornyn also supports drilling in Alaska’s Arctic National Wildlife Refuge. Noriega opposes it.
“In a lot of ways, I kind of look at it as our children’s trust fund, long-term, as an energy resource,” Noriega said. “Let that generation decide.”
I know a particular Texan who is none too thrilled with Cornyn for his vote FOR that bailout fiasco, and I’m with him on that. (I’m not voting for Alexander for the same reason.) But what is Noriega talking about? “Children’s trust fund”? Sounds like he’s passing decisions off to the next generation. I’m very confused.

Ohio executed a 5-foot-7, 267-pound double murderer on Tuesday who argued his obesity made death by lethal injection inhumane.
Reckon he wasn’t too fat to fry after all, eh?
Pakistanis arrest American near Afghan border
A 20-year-old American man was arrested late Monday at a checkpoint near the Afghan border in a tribal region where Pakistani troops are fighting Taliban and al-Qaida militants, police said.

“He is holding an American passport, which shows him as a resident of Florida,” Shahab said.
Another police official, Marjan Khan at the station in Sarrokali, said the man was wearing traditional Pakistani clothes and appeared to be a civilian. “He has told us that he was a student at a community college in Florida, and wanted to enter the tribal region to see a friend.” Khan said the man carried a laptop and a traveling bag, adding that he had been shifted to an unknown place for more questioning, also by intelligence agencies.
Either the kid is dumb as a bag of hair, or he’s lying through his teeth! How stupid do you have to be, if innocent, to choose to go into an area that is so full of hatred?
Roadside bomb kills 9 Afghan civilians
A roadside bomb apparently intending to hit NATO troops instead hit a civilian vehicle and killed nine Afghans, an Afghan official said Tuesday.
The provincial police chief in Uruzgan province said that two children were among the dead from the bomb that hit a small van commonly used as a taxi in Afghanistan.
These pigs don’t give a damn who they kill. The blood lust is growing. They are EVIL!

High Court Turns Down Ga. Death Row Inmate
The Supreme Court has cleared the way for a Georgia man to be put to death for killing a police officer two weeks after it halted his execution to consider his appeal.
Troy Davis asked the high court to intervene in his case and order a new trial because seven of the nine witnesses against him have recanted their testimony. Former President Jimmy Carter and South Africa Archbishop Desmond Tutu are among prominent supporters who have called for a new trial.
If he had been executed within 2 years, the taxpayers could have saved a boatload of bucks. The POS killed a cop, and Tutu and Cahtah can kiss my pro death penalty hind end!
