An Ol' Broad's Ramblings
I’m Tuckered….
….and full! But that won’t stop me from munching down on that Mississippi Mud brownie looking thing we picked up today.
We got over to the park around 3:45, and there were already a few folks milling around. Evidently, this is some kind of annual thing that some local musicians do every year, so there were a variety of folks setting their stuff where they could get to it to set up when it was there turn.
I had to snap a picture of the sun on the Tennessee River, don’cha know.
The first guy up was pretty good on the guitar. He played some modern type jazz sounding thing, which I don’t much care for, but watching him play was quite a treat. Then he had a woman join him to sing. She was pretty good, Patsy Cline standards, which is ok, cuz I like Pasty Cline.
Then Wayne Jerrold and “The Medicare Cowboys” were up. Hey, that’s how they were introduced. Although, his daughter was none too thrilled with being referred to as a “Medicaid Cowboy”. To be honest, they sounded a LOT better this morning. I’m not sure if it was the set up, or the place. Now, the show stealer….? This little thing:
This is Wayne’s granddaughter. Her mom plays the mandolin and sings. Reckon it runs in the family, eh? She belted out a couple of tunes, and was a great hit.
Now, we’re home, I haven’t gotten any laundry down, and need to snoop the blogs so I can catch up on what’s been going on today.
