An Ol’ Broad’s Ramblings

Some Thoughts

Lately, I’ve been having a tough time finding anything to make a coherent comment on.  I read the opinion stuff, the headlines, and the stories associated, and I find myself wanting to throw things.  I see our nation spiraling down into the cesspool.

They keep telling me about the polls where Barack Hussein Obama is so far in the lead, and I can’t help but wonder……… what happened to common sense?  Who is really pulling the strings on this whole campaign? We ended up with two candidates that no one really wanted.  The far left MSM have done their best to make those who believe in life, small government, the U.S. Constitution and the freedom it insures, as EEEEEVIIIIIIL!  And people are gobbling it up like a free buffet.  Why?

Just saw on Hannity & Colmes that Joe the Plumber has higher approval ratings than any candidate, or office holder.  Heh.  Obviously, the numbers were really high among Republicans.  Fairly low from the Dems.  What does that tell me?  Well, the Dhimmicrats don’t like the common man.  They don’t like folks who want to live the American dream….work hard, succeed, etc.

What has happened to this country??  Why do I have this odd image in my head of South Africa?  Aparteid, but the opposite of what it was there.  Maybe I should stick my head in the sand like so many others have done?  I dunno.  I’ve always had a real tough time marching to the beat of someone else’s drum.  I kind of doubt I’m gonna start now.

Oh, and while I’m rambling here, saying much of nothing, is anyone else offended by that Brook Shields Volkswagon commercial?  You know, the one whining about women getting pregnant just to buy one of those minivans?  Jeeeez.  Most commercials irritate me, but that one is really grating my nerves.

    You summed up my thoughts perfectly.  I have no idea what’s going on in this country, but I certainly don’t like the path it’s taking.  I think back to my childhood, and want to weep for the way this great country has gone in the toilet.  All I can do is raise my child the best I can, and hopefully once the good ole’ USA hits bottom, he can help turn it around.

    BTW – I had that commercial too – very annoying.

    @Chris
    I’m hoping my lack of enthusiasm is just a side effect from this cold, or sinus mess, or whatever it is.  I don’t have time to be sick.  LOL

    I hate the idea that we have to hit bottom, but if that’s what it takes to get this country back on track, then so be it.  A little slap of reality usually does the body, and soul, good.
