An Ol' Broad's Ramblings

Our day started fairly early….especially for us. For some reason, I woke up at 6 am, and that was it. No going back to sleep. What better way to start the day than breakfast? This hotel has quite a spread in the morning. It comes with the room, so why not take advantage of it, right? Naturally, there were a few thing we couldn’t recognize. I mean we ARE in a different country, so it stands to reason, but everything we did try was delicious! One section I didn’t even consider was the fishy area. I like herring and all that, but not for breakfast!
Avi, our guide and shopkeeper “shield”, picked us up a little before 9 and we were off to the Old City,
where we entered at Jaffa Gate.
The Obama era of redistributing the wealth is off to a rather rocky start. Heck it’s not even redistribution problems. He’s not paying the people that actually worked for him.
Obama campaign workers angry over unpaid wages
Indianapolis – Lines were long and tempers flared Wednesday not to vote but to get paid for canvassing for Barack Obama. Several hundred people are still waiting to get their pay for last-minute campaigning. Police were called to the Obama campaign office on North Meridian Street downtown to control the crowd.
The line was long and the crowd was angry at times.
“I want my money today! It’s my money. I want it right now!” yelled one former campaign worker.
My goodness. What’s he going to do when the people who haven’t earned anything start screamin’?
YES WE CAN!!!!! Whatever.
