That is a beautiful weapon. I don’t know why my quiz results were this…

M4-AR15

I like yours better!!!

2. Stew. 28 November 2008, 8:34 pm

Classic. I could field strip and clean one at five years old. Love the pop that gun makes when you fire it. Excellent choice your meme chose for you :)

3. Stew. 28 November 2008, 8:45 pm

LOL! I dunno if this’ll work but if it does you’ll crack up! I did the test as an “I hate guns” person would answer and the result was this:
http://www.quizilla.com/quizzes/result/8340986/6232359/

Oh and I did the test and I’m an AR-14 too.

4. olbroad. 28 November 2008, 8:49 pm

@Stew:

Priceless!

5. capper. 28 November 2008, 9:14 pm

I couldn’t even get past the first question. It didn’t account for sane people that realize guns are merely tools (to be used with care). They are no more exciting or scary than a scroll saw.

6. olbroad. 28 November 2008, 9:16 pm

@capper:

I reckon that all depends on whether or not you get a kick out of working with wood, wouldn’t it? :?

7. capper. 28 November 2008, 9:21 pm

Alright, how about a shovel, a screwdriver (not the cocktail), or a pencil sharpener. Tis all the the same, really.

8. olbroad. 28 November 2008, 9:29 pm

@capper:

All tool. Some folks get excited about tools. Same with guns. A tool that is used for hunting, self defense, target shooting, sports. And yer point? :)

9. capper. 28 November 2008, 9:31 pm

Some folks do, this is true. Balanced ones don’t. That’s why I couldn’t do that quiz. It was all or nothing. Most people aren’t like that.

10. olbroad. 28 November 2008, 9:37 pm

@capper:

Well, you could have gotten a pop gun, like Stew. LOL

11. capper. 28 November 2008, 9:39 pm

Ach, but I’m not afraid of guns. Although I bet I could do better with a popgun than the idiots up here with their deer hunting rifles.

12. olbroad. 28 November 2008, 9:50 pm

@capper:

I wonder why I don’t read about all the ‘hunting accidents’ down here that y’all have up there? Might be because folks down here are more experienced with guns? The more restrictive the laws, the more foolishness you read about. :?

13. capper. 28 November 2008, 10:00 pm

Perhaps we are just a little more conscious of the problems here. We don’t have the gun love to the same degree, so we aren’t afraid of looking at it head on? (sorry, i don’t know the emoticon for a puzzled look)

14. olbroad. 28 November 2008, 10:03 pm

@olbroad:

Whut? You don’t think they have news down here in Podunk? LOL If someone is accidentally shot while hunting, it does make the news. Sadly, what we mostly hear is about the over abundance of thugs in Memphis shooting each other for fun. sigh…

( :? would be a : and a ?….put together)

15. capper. 28 November 2008, 10:06 pm

We have more than our fair share of both types of idiots. Want that we share? We could send some down that way. ;)

16. olbroad. 28 November 2008, 10:15 pm

@capper:

Would you be surprised to learn we’ve got more thugs than y’all do? Heh. sigh… BUT….folks who actually go hunting are quite experienced from childhood. That’s why I try to mooch venison off others. LOL I’m not experienced enough to get my own. :(

17. capper. 28 November 2008, 10:22 pm

folks who actually go hunting are quite experienced from childhood

Were that only true up here. We have way too many that think they know what they’re doing, only to give concrete evidence that they’re nowhere near that.

18. olbroad. 28 November 2008, 10:55 pm

@capper:

So, how many morons screwed up Thanksgiving for their families this year and got themselves dead up there? How many were alcohol related? It’s always so depressing to hear about such things cuz you know stupidity played a LARGE part.

19. capper. 28 November 2008, 11:02 pm

Well, one death that I’ve seen so far, because a member in his own hunting party thought that deer wear blaze orange or something. Numerous woundings, including kids shooting themselves in the foot, literally. And a new one. A record number of homes being shot. And at least one blogger bragging about what is basically poaching.

And that is just the stuff I’ve caught without looking. I’m just waiting for next weekend to go up and see if the orange-wearing thugs did anything to our place.

20. olbroad. 28 November 2008, 11:11 pm

@capper:

Jiminy crickets! I guess these are the types who believe they ‘don’t need no stickin’ gun/hunting safety classes? I’d really like to smack some folks….hard….for being so bloomin’ ignorant! I’m tellin’ ya…alcohol plays a BIG part…and Wisconsin being…well, Wisconsin, alcohol will always be a problem when it comes to hunting.

21. capper. 28 November 2008, 11:19 pm

Up here, alcohol is a problem with everything: hunting, driving, relationships, you name it.

22. olbroad. 28 November 2008, 11:38 pm

@capper:

I always thought people outgrew that kind of behavior….till I lived up there for 10 years. Kind of sad, don’t ya think? How many lives have been destroyed because people don’t know when to quit!

23. capper. 28 November 2008, 11:41 pm

Amen, sister. Truer words have never been spoken. Unless I said them, somwheres. :D

24. olbroad. 29 November 2008, 10:49 am

@capper:

Heh. Just cuz you’re on the WRONG side of many issues, doesn’t mean you aren’t brilliant once in a while.

25. capper. 29 November 2008, 10:56 am

If my positions on my issues are wrong, then I don’t wanna be RIGHT.
:P

26. olbroad. 29 November 2008, 11:17 am

@capper:

Just when I was thinking there was hope for ya…. Heh.

27. capper. 29 November 2008, 11:19 am

@kate

Now, you know I wasn’t going to be able to resist this one…

Just when I was thinking there was hope for ya…. Heh.

Well, there’s hope AND change for all of us on 1/20/09. :D

28. olbroad. 29 November 2008, 11:25 am

@capper:

You’re gonna make me come up there and smack ya yet, arn’cha! LOL

29. capper. 29 November 2008, 11:27 am

@kate:

Hey, you are the one that left that door so wide open I couldv’e driven a truck through it – sideways.

Have a good weekend, Kate.

30. Serr8d. 29 November 2008, 11:54 am

Well, I was looking for the trackback thingy.

But I can’t find it, so this will have to do.

31. olbroad. 29 November 2008, 8:28 pm

@capper:

Quite possibly true. Sometimes, I just can’t help m’self. Heh.

Question for ya….have y’all figured out that all that ‘hope’, that was dropped, and ‘change’, isn’t? Just curious. Seems to me, it’s the same ol’ same ol’… All the same politicians….different suits. :?

32. capper. 30 November 2008, 12:19 am

Clairvoyant, are we? It’s still two months before he gets sworn in, but you’re already judging his performance.

As for me, I’ll wait to see what happens when he is in office.

33. olbroad. 30 November 2008, 8:39 pm

@capper:

Pfft! C’mon ol’ capper…ol’ buddy…. I”m talking about his choices for cabinet positions. And you know it! :)

34. capper. 30 November 2008, 8:48 pm

It’s still a change from the last eight years. And then, as we were discussing with the gun stuff, any tool can yield results in different hands. What I mean is, a master carpenter and I could use the exact same tools to build a bird house. The carpenter’s bird house would probably be elegant, while my house would look likely be condemned before I could hang it in the tree.

35. olbroad. 30 November 2008, 9:28 pm

@capper:

Y’all just won’t get over the idea that Gore lost, will ya! LOL So, if conservatives start treating Obama like liberals treated Bush, are you going to let it slide like we have? :)

Hey…. you make a birdhouse….I wanna see it! LOL

But honestly, I don’t see the comparison with Obama. The only thing I would say he’s a ‘master’ of, is gab. Must have kissed the Blarney Stone, cuz he can talk a good game, but experience is another issue. I’m open minded enough to pray he won’t fail, cuz if he does….we ALL fail. Still not crazy about him though. :)

36. capper. 30 November 2008, 9:36 pm

What the hell you mean “start”? Y’all started two years ago.

As for the rest of the Obama line, I can respect that. I never trust any politician fully…even if I like them.

And, as for my birdhouse, take a look. :D

37. olbroad. 30 November 2008, 10:05 pm

@capper:

What a carpenter you are!

I’m guessing what we saw is NOT the same thing y’all saw….in Obama. We saw an inexperienced kid. Yep…I’m allowed to say kid…my daughter is closer to his age than I am. Heh. Not real sure what y’all see though. And you’re not suppose to trust politicians….blood suckers and all that. :)

38. capper. 30 November 2008, 10:13 pm

I feel the same way about the right and any of the original candidates. But since you got stuck putting McCain and Moose-alini, and they scared me with their crazy talk, the choice was really rather simple. Relatively unknown, but sane vs. well known and insane.

39. Stew. 30 November 2008, 10:16 pm

I’ve been an innocent bystander here but I have to call you on that one Capper.

What’s wrong with Sarah?

40. capper. 30 November 2008, 10:24 pm

Oh my, where to begin…

Dumb as a box of rocks for one.

Less foreign experience than even Obama.

No understanding of urban issues.

Forcing rape victims to pay for the police work.

In tight with Big Oil (look where that got us).

Super-controlling, super-secretive, and lets hubby the secessionist make policy and personnel decisions, when he doesn’t even have the authority.

How’s that for starters? BTW, there’s a story floating around out there on how she is already losing ground with the GOP center.

41. Stew. 30 November 2008, 10:40 pm

You’ve fallen for the media’s portrayal of her. I’ll not use Kate’s comment board to have a discussion on this but you might want to check the actual facts there. Because, although you ALMOST got specific, you basically regurgitated the same old MSM talking points that were foisted on the willing lemmings during the campaign.

How would it make you feel if you found out that the campaign against her relied on people like you, eagerly drinking in whatever they want you to believe?

42. capper. 30 November 2008, 10:45 pm

Stew,

Just so you know, I did research beyond MSM. I don’t trust them either. I did the specifics, complete with a couple of videos, on my site.

But, on the other hand, the same could be said for the anti-Obama rubbish, which was even more far fetched than the anti-Palin stuff. People are still drinking that Kool Aid.

Unfortunately, there will always be conspiracy theorists, whether it is deserved or not.

43. olbroad. 30 November 2008, 10:47 pm

Stew is right, capper. You did fall for some of the MSM bs. tsk Just one point….Palin does have more foreign relations experience.

44. capper. 30 November 2008, 10:50 pm

She didn’t even have a visa until last year. Sitting on a tarmac in Ireland doesn’t count. Neither does sitting in the Green Zone in Iraq.

I hope that popcorn doesn’t have too much salt, dear. Gotta watch that blood pressure. ;)

45. olbroad. 30 November 2008, 11:02 pm

@capper:

Why would she need a visa? I’ve been to a few countries that don’t need visas. :?

And I don’t do salt. Too…..salty! LOL

46. Stew. 30 November 2008, 11:08 pm

Visa is not a requirement for a Governor. Although the Governor of a state will perform both National and International negotiations, usually the foreign party comes to the state where they are seeking to do business, etc. So certainly Governor Palin had foreign experience. Unless you don’t want to count negotiating billions of international dollars being conducted in the state of Alaska.

Contrast that with your Messiah’s experience in governance. He siphoned 160 million for his own use in the Annenberg Project (not sure of that spelling).

Bet you don’t have one word of that on your site now do you?

At least admit that you’re getting your opinions from someone else.

47. capper. 30 November 2008, 11:14 pm

She doesn’t have a clue of different cultures. Having a salesman come to your house doesn’t indicate a thing about the company.

It would take her about 2 seconds flat to commit her first faux pas.

And those billions, would that include the hundreds of millions she gave to a Canada company to build a pipeline that hasn’t even been OKed yet, and may never be built.

And no, my opinions are my own. That is why I am able to look at all sides of an issue. Can you say the same?

48. olbroad. 30 November 2008, 11:28 pm

@capper:

We’re talking about a woman who was running as Veep….not for the Commander in Chief. And if ya wanna talk about faux pas….how ’bout that Biden? :)

49. Stew. 30 November 2008, 11:30 pm

Man, you’re getting Ambassador confused with Executive Branch.

You’re making an assumption about her making a misstep.

And yeah, that pipeline sure would count! Again, check your facts on that Canadian deal. Mind boggling!

Look, you don’t want to give her credit that she’s experienced with Foreign dignitaries because the MSM or Tina Fey or whomever told you so. Fine. But that doesn’t change the fact that she has WAY more experience than Obama. And she’s got principals that she believes in and sticks to. I admire that.

Now as to your question on my ideas. There’s a lot that I like about Sarah. I literally vomited during the debate when she capitulated on the Global Warming farce and then just started toeing the party line. That party line being the farce that is compassionate conservatism.

And I cannot stand McCain. Didn’t vote for him. Voted for Barr because he’s a Libertarian. Which is something that I can relate to way more than the current RINO crap that the GOP foisted on us.

Check MY site. You’ll see an independent thinker that views the current political climate with circumspection.

You, my friend, do not.

50. capper. 30 November 2008, 11:52 pm

Yeah, OK, so I went and looked at Stew’s site. Didn’t see much originality, but the most recent post…just the title tells me where you’re coming from.

Yup, Biden’s a goof. Can’t deny the obvious.

Going to bed now. We’re have a winter storm up here, and I’ll be up early to get the cars dug out.

51. olbroad. 1 December 2008, 12:02 am

@capper:

Dang! Don’t you have a kid who can do the digging? :? Just one more reason to move out of the tundra…. all that nasty white stuff that comes out of the sky on a regular basis. :)

52. capper. 1 December 2008, 12:14 am

Meh. I am the kid that does all the digging. My car, the wife’s car. If it’s too bad I take her to work before digging out my dad, then going to my job.

And I need the seasons. I went to Tampa Bay one year in December to catch the Pack play (when they were still good). I couldn’t handle the wicker reindeer and palm trees while Christmas music was playing. Too surreal for me.

53. olbroad. 1 December 2008, 11:59 am

@capper:

LMAO Now that’s going from one extreme to the other! The best places have all four seasons….not just winter and construction. :)

54. Jiro. 1 December 2008, 8:58 pm

Took the quiz…got an M4
I’m not surprised it is the weapon I spent the most time with.
If only I could have kept it…

55. olbroad. 1 December 2008, 10:19 pm

@Jiro:

Well, reckon you’ll just have to hunt down another one, won’t ya! :)
