@Silvermare:

Well, as quite an experienced traveler, I've learned which is the worse. Arkansas....crappiest drivers on the planet. :? How can a whole state be so completely clueless behind the wheel?

Ol' Broad,

I work at an antique dealer and frequently I travel (with my boss) to work at antique shows. I've been as far east as New York City-and have driven in same city-which makes Chi-town look laid back. I've been as far south as Houston, TX and have sat and driven enough hours to make eyes and posterior ache at mentioning it. I've driven in crummy weather, in the wee hours of the night, and through heavy traffic all in the name of doing my job. I recommend driving for about 3 hours at a stretch, and then stopping for a cup of coffee and to stretch your legs, as well as keep your sanity. Purchase an audio book if you have a CD player in your vehicle, and if you're travelling with a ten-year old-have that audio book be C.S. Lewis' 'Chronicles of Narnia'. I'm a road warrior that cut her teeth doing auto parts deliveries in Milwaukee before going into the antique business-and all that experience really really helped when I drove in New York City. Good luck travelling!
