Say It Loud!
‘Twas the month before Christmas
When all through our land,
Not a Christian was praying Nor taking a stand.
See the PC Police had taken away,
The reason for Christmas – no one could say.
The children were told by their schools not to sing,
About Shepherds and Wise Men and Angels and things.
It might hurt people’s feelings,
the teachers would say December 25th is just a ‘Holiday’.
Yet the shoppers were ready with cash, checks and credit
Pushing folks down to the floor just to get it!
CDs from Madonna, an X BOX, an I-pod
Something was changing, something quite odd!
Retailers promoted Ramadan and Kwanzaa
In hopes to sell books by Franken & Fonda.
As Targets were hanging their trees upside down
At Lowe’s the word Christmas – was no where to be found.
At K-Mart and Staples and Penney’s and Sears
You won’t hear the word Christmas;
it won’t touch your ears.
Inclusive, sensitive, Di-ver-si-ty
Are words that were used to intimidate me.
Now Daschle, Now Darden, Now Sharpton,
Wolf Blitzen On Boxer, on Rather, on Kerry, on Clinton!
At the top of the Senate, there arose such a clatter
To eliminate Jesus, in all public matter.
And we spoke not a word, as they took away our faith
Forbidden to speak of salvation and grace
The true Gift of Christmas was exchanged and discarded
The reason for the season, stopped before it started.
So as you celebrate ‘Winter Break’ under your ‘Dream Tree’
Sipping your Starbucks, listen to me.
Choose your words carefully, choose what you say
Shout MERRY CHRISTMAS, not Happy Holiday!
Please, all Christians join together and wish everyone you meet
MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Police: Armed burglars demand man’s eggbeater
TAMPA, Fla. – It really must have been a special item. According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, two men entered a man’s home early Sunday and demanded his eggbeater. One suspect was holding a pistol while the other brandished a knife to the resident’s neck.
Police caught the men outside the home and they are being held in Orient Road Jail. One suspect also faces a charge of aggravated assault.
Police found the eggbeater in the man’s left pocket.
Uh….must have been a REALLY special eggbeater. Gun? Knife? For a bloomin’ eggbeater? Why not just ask to borrow it? I don’t think they’re very expensive. Wouldn’t it have been a whole lot less trouble if they had just bought one?
People are way too weird!
Stalin’s Legacy
Auto rescue reveals rift in Tennessee
SMYRNA — People in this town surrounding one of Nissan’s busiest U.S. car plants have followed the news of the auto bailout with particular interest.
Namely, they wonder, what about us?
Nissan is a Japanese automaker, but the Altimas, Maximas and Pathfinders that roll out of the factory are built by locals who are “Americans, too,” they like to point out. And just like the other automakers, Nissan is inflicting some of the economic pain on its employees, cutting shifts and pay.
Hmm….. and not a word of whining from these folks. At least not about their share of taxpayer money.
“Over here, we’re taking days off without pay to keep the company going, but the unions for the Big Three aren’t willing to do that,” said Kathy Ward, 54, who has worked 27 years at the sprawling plant here. This year her pay has been cut $5,000 because of days off.
“Everyone has to give a little in times like these,” she said.
Well, not everyone evidently. Not the UAW. Nor, it seems, their members. Although, honestly, I don’t believe that union non “leadership” always speaks for it’s members.
The bailout efforts for Detroit’s Big Three are laying bare long-held resentments between union and nonunion workers, echoing North-South divisions as old as the Civil War.
A little personal interjection here. Having been born and raised in the south, my move to the north was quite a culture shock. Seems folks up there really do believe that most Southerners are dumb as a box of rocks. We do speak English, by the way, just a bit slower, so folks like y’all can understand us.
We’re also kind of tired of having that war referred to as ‘Civil’. There was nothing civil about it. Y’all came down, tried to impose your way of life, and got a fight. Y’all might believe it was because of slavery, but you’d be wrong, for the most part. Seems to me, y’all are STILL trying to impose your way of life on us. We don’t like it. Knock it off.
The negotiations brought out some sharp contrasts. Some Southern Republican senators, led by Tennessee’s Bob Corker, pushed to cut the wages and benefits that Detroit’s Big Three pay to a level consistent with what foreign automakers pay to nonunion workers at plants throughout the South, such as the Nissan plant here.
Do those folks up there in Michigan want to keep their jobs? Or would they rather not have any job at all? Since union demands have increased the cost of doing business, you’d think they’d realize that in order to keep that business going, they’d have to tighten their own belts too. No more “free” health care, which you and I pay for in the cost of their product. A few dollars less an hour, for standing around on breaks, bitching and moaning that you can’t buy your 16 year old a brand new car for Christmas. Ok, perhaps there is SOME exaggeration here, but I doubt it’s a whole lot. I’ve heard union folks talking about their “free” health care. LMAO No amount of explaining could get the point across. So, who is dumb? Hmmm….
Twice over the years, the United Auto Workers have tried to win over the workers at the Nissan plant in Smyrna. In 2001, an approval vote failed by a 2-to-1 margin.
Pat Saltkill, a retired steel worker who was a union leader at the time, tried to help the UAW get into the Smyrna plant. But he said that the distinction between the union based in the North and the workers based in the South was used to dissuade employees from joining.
“The opponents would use the phrase, ‘You don’t want the Yankees telling you what to do,’ ” said Saltkill, a native of Nashville. “People in the South are very loyal to the employers. They were manipulated.”
What an ass. Contrary to what union folks would like to believe, it’s not all that easy to manipulate some folks. Perhaps they see unions for exactly what they are….an offshoot of communism, and Southerners aren’t partial communism, or communists.
Kathy Ward doubled her pay 27 years ago when she left a purchasing job at a mental health hospital for a purchasing job at the plant. She is now a technician making $24.92 an hour.
“Some were wholehearted for the union, I was wholehearted against,” she recalled of the last union vote at Nissan in 2001. “I don’t need anyone to speak my mind for me. And I certainly don’t want to pay someone to do it for me. The company has been very good to us.”
Ah, and here is one major difference. Do the unions actually speak for those who do the work, or do they speak for themselves only. I believe, quite strongly, in the “right to work” without having some thug telling me I can’t pick up a screw driver because it’s not in my “job description”.
Perhaps, there was once a strong need for unions….a hundred years ago. No more. They are no longer relevant to the workplace, and should be dissolved ASAP. Unions have destroyed businesses, they have ruined education, and they ‘working’ to bring down a nation.
Joseph Stalin would be so proud.

Accelerant poured around Palin’s church
Whoever torched Gov. Sarah Palin’s home church tried to start fires in several places around the building, the federal agency assisting in the investigation said Monday.
Accelerants were found in multiple locations on the outside of Wasilla Bible Church, including around entrances and exits, according to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
I have a real problem with people who burn churches. Most especially churches with PEOPLE in them at the time. I honestly hope whoever did this will find him/herself at the burned end….fairly soon. The Good Lord was watching over those ladies that night. I pray He’ll continue to do so.
Explosives Found, Defused in Paris Department Store
French police neutralized five sticks of explosives discovered in the restrooms of a prestigious department store in Paris on Tuesday following a warning from a group demanding the withdrawal of French troops from Afghanistan.
Agence France-Presse said it received a letter from a group calling itself the Afghan Revolutionary Front saying that “several bombs” had been planted in the Printemps store.
Maximize civilian damage. Hmmm…..wonder who that sounds like!?
Senators Won’t Keep Political Donations
Two Democratic senators announced Monday that they would shed campaign contributions from Bernard Madoff, the Wall Street veteran arrested Thursday who gave heavily to Democrats over the past decade.
Mr. Madoff, a New York money manager who was arrested on charges of investment fraud, has donated a total of $150,000 to politicians and party committees over the past decade, nearly all of it to Democrats, according to campaign finance records filed with the Federal Election Commission.
We should be surprised and appalled by scum like this. Sadly, it’s become all to common place, and our shock factor has been overloaded. Ethics? What ethics? We don’t need no stinkin’ ethics! Why should we be surprised when our kids think it’s ok to lie, cheat and steal? We’re teaching ‘em well, don’t you think?
Toyota puts brakes on Mississippi plant
“Due to the uncertainty of the market, it is impossible to say at this time when production will begin,” the company statement said.
About 100 people who had already been hired will keep their jobs.
Toyota’s U.S. sales dropped 34 percent in November, compared to the same month a year earlier, while the rest of the U.S. auto market declined 37 percent.
November sales of the fuel-efficient Prius were down by nearly half — 48 percent — as gasoline prices dropped from more than $4 a gallon to less than $2 a gallon in the United States.
I like Toyotas. Good cars. I do NOT like their Prius. I don’t care if you think you care more about the environment than I do because you drive a butt ugly aluminum can and will die that much quicker in a wreck. It’s still butt ugly, and you’ll still die…in or out of your butt ugly vehicle!
Texas prison officials cancel test to jam cellphones
“Through our ongoing dialogue with the Texas attorney general’s office, we have come to the conclusion that proceeding with this presentation would violate federal law, and we are not willing to violate the law in the pursuit of protecting it,” said Brad Livingston, executive director of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice.
Attorney General Greg Abbott said that although he supports jamming cell calls as a way to curb prison contraband, his office had no choice but to advise prison officials that the planned test would violate federal law, the Austin American-Statesman reported Tuesday in an online story.
“They could be exposed to legal consequences” if the test had gone ahead, Abbott said.
I wish they’d explain how jamming cell phones….from death row….is violating anything! Legal consequences? From who? A dead guy? Or one that should be dead! What? Are they worried about hurting someone’s wittle feewin’s? Pfft! Gimme a break!
Watching, waiting for winter weather
Area schools were dismissed early Monday, and local authorities prepared for bad weather as the National Weather Service issued an Ice Storm Warning for West Tennessee.
The mix of freezing rain and sleet had been predicted to arrive as early as mid-afternoon Monday, but by late Monday afternoon forecasters said the frozen precipitation would move into the area sometime Monday night.
The National Weather Service predicted a 100 percent chance of frozen precipitation Monday night, with accumulation of a quarter to half an inch, forecaster Zwemer Ingram said.
Welp, I’m not sure what it’s doing in other parts of the state, but here…..it’s raining. I wonder if the so called news folks ever feel really stupid after all their doom and gloom predictions for an area, and then figure out….they were wrong? Do they ever apology for causing a panic? Of course not. Same as with any other reporting they do. They can be wrong a LOT, but they’ll never say so.
Gazans rally in support of Bush shoe protest
Iraqi journalist Muntadhar al-Zeidi, who hurled his shoes at US President George W. Bush on Sunday, has sparked a wave of support in the Arab world. Dozens of Palestinians took part Tuesday in a rally in the Gaza Strip in solidarity with the Iraqi journalist.
The protestors expressed their full support for al-Zeidi’s act and called for his immediate release. During the demonstration, they hurled shoes at a picture of Bush and burned flags of the United States and Israel.
Would they react the same way if shoes had been hurled at Obama? Doubtful. But seriously, why burn the Israeli flag? What does Israel have to do with some pissant unprofessional who showed just how little class he has by his actions? If at all possible, I have even LESS sympathy for their self inflicted plight.
Minnesota board to review disputed Senate ballots
With the winner of Minnesota’s U.S. Senate race still a mystery, a five-member board now steps in to see if a winner can be decided between rivals Norm Coleman and Al Franken.
The state canvassing board—made up of Secretary of State Mark Ritchie, two state Supreme Court justices and two Ramsey County judges—was to begin inspecting as many as 1,500 ballots one by one on Tuesday.
Coleman, the Republican incumbent, leads Democrat Franken by 188 votes from more than 2.9 million ballots cast on Nov. 4. A final winner is pending the canvassing board’s decisions on the disputed ballots.
One question: Did anyone in Minnesota actually vote for Franken? Are there really that many ignorant people in that state? Frightening.
Britain: Doctor convicted of car bombings
A British-Iraqi doctor, Bilal Abdulla, was on Tuesday convicted of conspiring to carry out car bomb attacks at Scotland’s Glasgow Airport and in central London last year. A jury at Woolwich Crown Court in London convicted Abdulla of planning the abortive home-made bomb attacks and found him guilty of conspiracy to murder and cause explosions. He faces a life sentence.
So, he learned “love of death”. Well then, perhaps he should be given his heart’s desire, instead of being supported by the British taxpayer for the rest of his miserable life?
Verse of the Day
2 Peter 2:1-6
1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.
2 And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.
3 And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.
4 For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;
5 And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly;
6 And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly;
