The Gotti Investigation
“John Gotti said his internal probe of his organization found no wrong doing or ties with mob!”
Uh huh! And I find THIS just about as credible:
Obama team probe of Obama team finds no Obama team impropriety

Climate czar left no electronic trail
In sworn testimony obtained by The Washington Times, Ms. Browner disclosed that she refused to use e-mail when she served as President Clinton’s Environmental Protection Agency chief in the 1990s for fear of leaving a digital trail. She also ordered her government computer hard drive wiped clean of records just before leaving office.
“It was a conscious decision not to use a piece of equipment or to learn how to use a piece of equipment because I didn’t want to be in a situation similar to what I had been in Florida,” she testified about government computers. The testimony referred to her days as an environmental regulator in Florida, where an e-mail message sent to her surfaced in litigation.
Now, I don’t know about you, but to me, that sounds like a woman with something to hide! What happened to all the “open” claptrap that BO was spouting? But he picks someone like this? I’m not impressed…..at all!
Dead city worker gets holiday bonus
Among the names on the list were deceased city worker Wayne Robinson — with a “Ms.” in front, indicating that the bonus was sent to a surviving spouse — and deceased former historic committee member Virginia Lockmiller.
“That shows that there’s some mismanagement going on. There shouldn’t be anything going out to dead people,” said Ward 2 Councilman Kevin Huddleston, who is also the new mayor pro-tem.
Mismanagement? Gee, ya think?
Hamas: Israel forcing us to fire rockets
With Kassam rockets raining down on cities in the western Negev, including Ashkelon, the Hamas military wing lashed out at Israel late Wednesday, saying that it was Israel, and not the Islamic group, which was responsible for the escalation.
“The increasing stupidity of Israel is forcing us to intensify the rocket fire, and put thousands more Zionists in the line of fire in order to protect the Palestinian people,” a spokesperson for group’s military wing said.
I’m not sure if I should laugh at such a statement, shake my head in dismay, or cry for the sad state of affairs. I’m not real sure where this sort of logic could come from, since I don’t have the type of mind that believes firing bombs into someone home is a good idea. Psst! Asshole! NO ONE makes you act like a murderous thug. You CHOOSE! Perhaps if y’all stopped lobbing bombs at the innocent citizens of Israel, you MIGHT get a little sympathy. Doubt it, but maybe.
S.F. fliers may pay their way in carbon usage
Environmentally conscious travelers flying out of San Francisco International Airport will soon be able to assuage their guilt and minimize the impact of their air travel by buying certified carbon offsets at airport kiosks.
Just when I thought the San Frans moonbats couldn’t get any more…..moonbattery….they come up with someone even MORE ridiculous. Why can’t people figure out this is nothing more than a scam? It’s truly pathetic!
Emanuel wanted to keep his seat ‘warm’
In addition to talking with Gov. Blagojevich about who would fill President-elect Barack Obama’s Senate seat, Obama’s newly minted chief of staff had something else on his mind: his own congressional seat.
Just after accepting the top post with Obama, Rahm Emanuel discussed with Blagojevich the possibility of keeping his congressional seat “warm” for him for a couple of years, the Sun-Times has learned.
Emanuel expressed interest in returning one day to his elected position because he was on track to become U.S. House speaker, the Sun-Times previously reported.
Let’s face it. We no longer have a Republic. We don’t even have a democracy. Public office is bought and paid for by favors and money. Will we ever, as the people, put a stop to this? Probably not, because there are too many who don’t think it affects them. WRONG! It DOES affect every single person in this country. Elected officials are no longer working for us, we are bowing down to the whims and whimsies of a select few, who do NOT have the country’s best interest at heart!
Utah officials: Ex-trooper in road shootings struggled with addiction
The addiction led to his resignation after 12 years with the Utah Department of Public Safety, and authorities believe the 37-year-old was on a North Texas crime spree when he apparently committed a dramatic series of roadway shootings that left two motorists dead in Dallas County.
Other than the backed up traffic a couple of nights ago, you wouldn’t know anything had happened around here. According to the local news, this guy was well liked by his neighbors, lived in a really nice neighborhood, and was a general all round good guy. My question: Why didn’t the Utah officials put this guy behind bars, or some sort of mandatory mental health facility? Why did they allow him to retire and move to another part of the country where he would be a danger to himself and others? Now, two people are dead because of their inaction. Thanks.
Mexican Beauty Queen Arrested in Gun-Filled Truck, Police Say
A reigning Mexican beauty queen from the drug-plagued state of Sinaloa was arrested with suspected gang members in a truck filled guns and ammunition, police said Tuesday.
Beauty is only skin deep. The ugliness inside seems to have come out of this young lady. Associating with such thugs doesn’t show any sort of beauty at all. Quite a role models for young girls in her country. Way to go bimbo!
Somali president to resign, officials say
President Abdullahi Yusuf Ahmed faces a litany of challenges: a powerful Islamist insurgency; a rancorous Parliament that is threatening to impeach him; a united front of Western diplomats who say he has gone from the being the solution for Somalia to being the problem; and neighboring countries, such as Kenya, that have gotten so fed up with him for blocking peace efforts that they are preparing sanctions against Yusuf and his family.
“Yusuf was an obstacle to peace,” said Ibrahim Isaaq Yarow, the transitional government’s deputy information minister. “The parliamentarians were congratulating one another today when they heard the news that the president is resigning.”
I don’t think it matters WHO is called the president over there, Somalia is it’s own worst enemy. Allowing Muslim insurgents have free reign has done a LOT of damage to the country, and it’s people. Guess peaceful “coexistence” isn’t in the cards, eh?
S.S. D.D.
Dear Santa!

I know I said I didn’t want, or need, anything for Christmas this year, but after some serious contemplation, and much aggravation, I have changed my mind. I would now like to request a new computer. Laptop of course. Perhaps if you just make a quick stop at Best Buy, you would see the exact one I have in mind. It’s kind of small, and a MAC! I noticed the price was about $1200, which is perhaps a bit more than a regular PC type, but if it will keep me from having nervous breakdowns on a daily basis, don’t you think it would be worth the added cost? Oh, and it’s a LOT lighter than the one I have now, that has to be rebooted about every 15 minutes….especially in the morning. And I thought I was a slow morning starter? Gertrude here won’t even drink the coffee I try to feed her, just to get her motivated!
Thank you ever so much for your consideration.
Sincerely,
Ol’ Broad
Verse of the Day
John 1:1-16
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 The same was in the beginning with God.
3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.
7 The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.
8 He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.
9 That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.
10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.
11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not.
12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
15 John bare witness of him, and cried, saying, This was he of whom I spake, He that cometh after me is preferred before me: for he was before me.
16 And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace.
