A Day In The Life
I SO hate driving in the dark. Problem with the drive? By the clock, it was still day. Dang! It was dark, raining…and even a little sleet. Nothing like driving the backroads of Tennessee in such weather. Criminy. Oh, and while I’m at it…. People……TURN ON YER BLOOMIN’ LIGHTS! Sheesh! 
So, I picked up Jr for an overnight visit. She and I are now in Jackson. Why? Cuz there really isn’t anything to do in Podunk. No mall, no Best Buy….no where to spend Grandpa’s money. 
Well, yeah…there’s Wally World, but what fun is that? So, after a spending spree….not just on her…half on me….naturally, we went to a movie. Now, I do not like going to theaters. You can’t put that puppy on pause! But, being the nice granny I am, I told her I would take her to a movie, so I did. But considering the hair, I should have rethought that whole movie thing.
ACK! And it’s PINK in the back! Jeeez! She looks like some kid barfed cotton candy on her head….after riding the roller coaster about 20 times! 
Why did I let HER pick the movie? I would have been happy going to see Bedtime Stories, but NOOOOOOOO…..she just HAD to see Twilight. Hmm… What to say about that particular offering from Hollyweird? Dang! Who hired that director??? Fire that yahoo, cuz he/she sucks! Big time! It was a slow starting movie, and I was ready to go sit in the lobby and wait. Well, I stuck it out, and it actually got better. Not great mind you, but tolerable. She seemed to think it was the ‘best’, but then, she’s 16, what the heck does SHE know.
We’re spending the night here in Jackson, and in the morning, we might hit the mall again, although, probably not. Especially after this evening’s spree.
