House Democrats Pass New Rules to Curb Republican Influence

House Republicans say they are ready to work with Democrats for “genuine solutions” to America’s problems. But Republicans will find it more difficult to advance their solutions, now that Democrats have passed new rules curbing Republican clout.

The rule changes passed Tuesday, on the first day of the 111th Congress, are “designed to silence” Republicans, Rep. Roy Blunt (R-Mo.) said.

“The new rules repeal term limits for committee chairman, consolidate power in the hands of a few, and attempt to silence Republican input on key policy debates, in addition to making a mockery of the Democratic leaders’ promises of presiding over an open Congress,” Blunt said in a news release.

I sure hope the Dhimmis remember this….when it comes back to bite them on their colective, arrogant asses!  Why is it that only the Republicans are willing to work together with the Doofuscrats?  Do the Pelosi suck ups really believe she has all the answer?  She is creating a dictatorship that will take decades to repair.  Had everyone in the House lost their minds?  That woman needs to be sent back to the Granola state!  NOW!

Obama portrait in crayons gets inaugural invite
Obama’s message of unity inspired sculptor

The Crayola Man is going to Washington.

Nashville artist Herb Williams has been playing with crayons in his downtown studio for the past five years. There he has created life-size portrayals of cultural icons like Johnny Cash and Marilyn Monroe for local art collectors.

crayons

Now his portrait of Barack Obama has earned Williams international acclaim and an invitation to an art exhibit preceding the inauguration. From Jan. 17-19, Williams’ creation will be on display in the Manifest Hope: D.C. exhibition. More than 15,000 people are expected to see it.

Manifest Hope:DC? What the heck is that?  I looked it up.  Didn’t tell me a lot, other than the sponsors at the bottom, one of which is OBEY.  Obey who?  THE ONE?  You’ll notice the major resemblance to the pentagram of course.  So, who exactly are all these B. Hussein acolytes anyway!  Hmm….  Well, propoganda engineers of course.

We all know what Moron.org is…..or we should.  SEIU is a union.  Big shocker there.  (insert sarcasm here) “Change that works.”  Gimme a break.

So, this guy spent all his time, playing with crayons making a portrait of the Great and Wonderful OB.

“It’s surreal,” Williams said. “It’s everything I have been working towards. So yeah, angels were singing in the background. I was in total disbelief.”

Williams’ portrait of Obama took about four months and 50,000 crayons to complete.

Cue Handel’s “Messiah”.

You’ll excuse me if I’m not all that impressed.  Ya see, I don’t have much use for commies, and that’s what this whole thing appears to be, in the form of art.

Protester Calls for Jews to ‘Go Back to the Oven’ at Anti-Israel Demonstration

“Go back to the oven,” she shouted, calling for the counter-protesters to die in the manner that the Nazis used to exterminate Jews during the Holocaust.

“You need a big oven, that’s what you need,” she yelled.

Millions of Jews were gassed and burned in crematoria throughout Europe during Adolf Hitler’s rule of Germany. The protest organizers, asked to comment on the woman’s overt call for Jewish extermination, said she was “insensitive” but refused to condemn her statement.

“She does not represent the opinions of the vast majority of people who were there,” said Emmanuel Lopez, who helped plan the event, one of many sponsored nationwide on Dec. 30 by the ANSWER (Act Now to Stop War and End Racism ) Coalition.

Horse manure! That’s EXACTLY what they believe, most just don’t say it. If they didn’t, why are they protesting FOR the terrorists?  The unbelievable hatred that has been directed at Jews for centuries is beyond rational comprehension.  (see video here)

Recession? Elvis still taking care of business

Unlike Chrysler and General Motors, Elvis Presley, who would be celebrating his 74th birthday Thursday, is running smoothly.

Robert Sillerman, chief executive of CKX Inc., the parent company of Elvis Presley Enterprises, said Tuesday that Graceland weathered high gasoline prices during the summer with little effect and is moving ahead with plans to transform itself into an even bigger tourist attraction.

Heaven help us. That’s about the tackiest tourist trap I’ve ever seen, and they want to expand it?

Attorneys see echoes of Burris’ actions on ’92 appeal by condemned man

Roland Burris should walk away from Barack Obama’s Senate seat, according to an attorney who resigned from handling criminal appeals when Roland Burris was state attorney general after he ignored her plea that he was prosecuting an innocent man.

In 1992, Mary Brigid Kenney resigned because Burris refused to listen to her concerns that the office should back off from prosecuting the appeal of Rolando Cruz for the 1983 abduction, rape and murder of 10-year-old Jeanine Nicarico in DuPage County.

So, the plot thickens. Perhaps this guy isn’t as ‘spotless’ as he’d have us believe. Whether or not he’s a ‘good guy’, he’s been totally tarnished by appointment. Why not let the people of Illinois pick BO’s replacement? What are they afraid of? Hmmm….???

Israel accepts truce ‘principles’

“The challenge now is to get the details to match the principles,” Israeli spokesman Mark Regev said.

The Palestinian militant group Hamas said there were “positive signs but no agreement yet”.

The development came as Israel halted military operations in Gaza for three hours to aid humanitarian efforts.

Fine. Help the wounded, if you must, send in food and medicine, but DO NOT cave! There is NO way Hamas will respect any truce. They can sign any piece of paper put before them, but they will do what they do…..try to destroy Israel, murder innocents, and train their children to hate!

Obama names special watchdog for federal spending

President-elect Barack Obama said Wednesday that reforming massive government entitlement programs—such as Social Security and Medicare—would be “a central part” of his effort to control federal spending.

Obama made the pledge but provided few details as he named Nancy Killefer as his administration’s chief performance officer, creating a new White House position aimed at eliminating government waste and improving efficiency.

Noting that the Congressional Budget Office had just estimated he would inherit a $1.2 trillion federal deficit for fiscal 2009, Obama promised to cut unnecessary spending.

Pfft! If he really wants to cut some unnecessary spending, he should cut a couple of spots in Congress….like Reid and Pelosi’s. Talk about useless!

IDF Inquiry: Hamas was Firing Mortars from the UNRWA School

After the terrorists fired mortar shells from the school in Jebaliya , the IDF retaliated, killing Hamas terrorists as well as civilian adults and children who were used as human shields.

This is what the pigs do….they use women and children as tools. They aren’t human to them, they are tools for their agenda. Their agenda is the destruction of Israel. Period! They have NO other reason for existing and MUST be destroyed!

Vought plans to replace strikers

The strike was called after workers failed to ratify a new contract Sept. 28. According to workers, proposed changes in the company’s pension and health-care benefits led to the strike.

“This strike was triggered when Vought tried to walk away from its pension obligations,” Local Lodge 735 President Mike Worrell said in an article posted on the IAM Web site.

Worrell said Tuesday that the union was not surprised by the company’s decision to look for replacement workers.

“We knew they had the right to do that,” Worrell said.

Well, good for Vought! If the strikers want a job in this tough economic time, they might want to consider telling their union ‘leadership’ where to stuff their demands.

Can I Shoot This Computer Now?

7 January 2009, 11:55 am. 6 Comments. Filed under Blog Stuff.

sigh….  No, guess not!  The Mr says I have to take it to the ‘doctor’ first.  If he can’t cure it, then, can I shoot it?

Y’know….it’s bad enough having to reboot all the time, but at least I was able to be wireless.  Now?  I’m attached to the umbilical cord.  FAR away from the coffee pot!

I stayed up way to late last night, slept way too late and woke up with a headache, and now this?  Let’s just say I’m not having a real good day!

Ok, I’ve decided this day is going to get a LOT better.  Not sure how, but I have spoken!  Dadburn it!  :P

Colossians 3:12-15

12 Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;

13 Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.

14 And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness.

15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.
