An Ol' Broad's Ramblings

Just a Reminder

18 January 2009, 11:42 am. 9 Comments. Filed under Uncategorized.

With all the hype on the idjit box (aka TV), both nationally and locally, on the coronation….er inauguration, I just wanted to share this reminder once again.

That ‘hope and change’ y’all were waiting on? Well, the only change we’re going to be seeing is a return to the Clinton years, with a LOT more socialism thrown in for your hopeLESS enjoyment. 52% is NOT a landslide.

Seems the folks in the REAL world saw through the media hype.  Shame the rest of the country didn’t.

doesn’t matter to the left, Bill Clinton never got over 50% in either election and it was called a mandate. Also, when Regan won true 49 state landslide, the dems had no respect for that either.

Man, I’m never going to remember all the words.

And WTF’s wrong with rural WI?

Patrick, I don’t think a large number of Dhimmis have any respect, for anything, or anyone.

Heather, all I can say about rural WI….public education. :? Kids are forcing their parents to become raving lunatics. :P

What is more disturbing, if you do the research, you’ll find that half of those votes for the Obamessiah came from low income people and those with a high school education or less.
    The Obamessiah received 69,456,897
    Johnny Mac received 59,934,786
    That’s a total of 129,391,683
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the 2008 population estimate for the United States is 304,059,724, the number of those18 years and over 225,081,715

That means 95,690,032 or 57.5% did not vote. Who are those in this number and why did so many NOT vote ?

My numbers might be of some. my mind is in “Monday Mode”.

Since I too, am in Monday mode, I’m going to take your word for the numbers. :)

Yeah….I’d like to know who sat out this election too. Conservatives most likely, not haven’t a clear choice. I’m getting sick of the lesser of two evils myself, but I had to at least try to keep that incompetent child out of the highest office in the land.

I too tried my best and let everyone know my feelings about Obama. I won some people. At least opened some doors. Now we have to watch the Obamessiah and make sure our Constitution stays protected and unchanged.
I am waiting for April 30th . That will be his first 100 days I believe. Lets see how the love affair is going by then.

hehehe….I left an (f) out this morning.
My numbers might be (off) some. my mind is in “Monday Mode”.

A lot of people who put Obama in office are those called by the name of Christ. They will regret that. The church is responsible.

  8. olbroad. 19 January 2009, 10:40 pm

John, are you sure they were actually called? Don’t you find it rather disconcerting that those who are so pro baby murder are so loud in the ‘churches’? Pastors are now preaching homosexuality is not a sin, and BHO is actually in favor of gay marriage. I can’t see the connection between that and the Lord I know.

I blame a lot of today’s issues on the fact that the Bible is no longer what we used many years ago.
I have grown up using the King James Version 1611 and still use it today. A good preacher will explain if you do not understand.
If you look into it one will discover that there are now hundreds if not thousands of versions of the Bible.
I spent much of my childhood in the southeast, grew up in a Southern Baptist Church. Seems like now days many churches are adjusting to society and not following the word of God. I blame the liberals.
It’s amazing what was allowed on television now days compared to what was on 60 years ago.
