My “To Don’t” List for the Right

The only thing worse than bad winners are sore losers, and we’ve had enough of them for the past eight years. So with that in mind, in the wake of today’s historic inauguration, here’s my Handbook For The Loyal Opposition, 2009 edition – a “To Don’t List,” if you will. Or even if you won’t.
DON’T question the motives – question the policy. When you disagree with Obama’s policies, say so, and make it clear why. But remember that President Obama is doing what he thinks is best for the country, as President Bush did. Both men love America and want what’s best for her. End of story.
DON’T make it personal. We don’t need another Derangement Syndrome. We don’t need people doing things like emphasizing Obama’s middle name in a derogatory fashion. How anyone would think that’s beneficial to their cause, or to the country as a whole, is beyond me. Also, it’s not even clever. Neither are smushwords like BusHitler, or sillywords like Rethuglicans and Dhimmicrats.
DON’T cozy up to and champion foreign dictators and despots. Sean Penn is an ass. No reason to be like him. ‘Nuff said. (Corollary: Don’t cozy up to and champion foreign dictators and despots and then act outraged when people question your patriotism.)
DON’T pretend you’re being brave when you criticize your government. Not while people in other countries actually, y’know, DIE, when they do that.
DON’T use the word “divisive.” At this point, all that word means is “You disagree with me,” and the English language gets mangled enough these days.
DON’T use the phrase “speaking truth to power.” EVER.
DON’T move to Canada.
DON’T say you’re going to move to Canada and then stay here. (I know it’s too late for Stephen Baldwin, but not for the rest of you.)
DON’T apologize to foreigners and say things to them like, “I didn’t vote for Obama,” or “He’s not MY president.”
DON’T say or do everything in your power to drive this country apart and then claim you want unity when it’s your guy in power. This is like the convicted felon who conveniently finds God when he’s up for parole.
DON’T call people un-American one week, and then talk about how “We are not blue states or red states, we are the United States” the next. (This rule may only apply to Tom Hanks, but I put it in just to be safe.)
DON’T automatically think people who disagree with you are stupid or evil. Some of them are, of course. But most of them aren’t, and you might actually learn something if you listen to them.
And finally, DON’T use the fact that many on the left behaved abominably for the past eight years as an excuse to behave the same way. America needs adults. And if it bothered you when they did it, it’s a good sign that you shouldn’t do it.

Well, never said I was going to follow it all.
Just said it was good advice. However, that being said, I am not going to stoop to the levels of the libs. They’ve done NOTHING to add to the dialogue. It’s their way, or ‘you’re a bigot’. Horse manure! They are the biggest bigots I’ve ever seen!
I don’t give a flip what color B. Husein is, or says he is! There is NOTHING in his policies I can agree with, and will say so, as often as I can. IF, however, he does something I can agree with, I’ll say so too. Don’t see much ‘hope’ for that though.
Well I might take heed after the first year or two but I am going to have some fun with the turds that spent GWB’s term crying like little wounded kittens…
I’m going to be the biggest pain in their ass, I’ll troll their sites and make the most ridiculous statements about racism,patriotism,cronyism,nepotism and every other damn “ISM” I can think of….then I might follow some of those rules.

Christmas Ghost, I agree completely. If you do not fight Obama and Dems with everything you’ve got, you’re not a true conservative. You’re a false Christian if you stand idly by and allow injustice and injury to your fellow Americans. The Dems are not just wrong-headed, they are evil, and they wish to destroy our country. We truly believe that if they are allowed to govern unfettered, they will split or splinter the country. It may ultimately fail completely. We need to fight their policies, destroy their power, their reputation, damage their brand, attack their motives, decry their excesses, stop their programs, fight them on every issue, call them on every crime. The ascension of Obama was NOT a good thing for this country. The man is a stone racist. He despises white people. He indoctrinated his children from birth with a preacher who taught that all whites are evil, greedy, racist, murderous and dishonest. He taught them never to trust a white face, that whites invented AIDs and crack among other thing to keep blacks down and murder them. He taught them that whites have only their own interests at heart, so blacks should do so as well. He is the epitome of what is wrong with black America today, their focus on the “evil” of the white man for all their own problems.
Fight him. Attack him. Smear him. Undermine him. Propagandize against hm and his ilk. We have to start NOW. NOW NOW NOW NOW NOW NOW NOW. To stand by idly or fight in a “gentlemenly” fashion is not just cowardly, ignorant and foolish, it’s traitorous. Damn those who won’t fight Obama and the Dems with EVERY legal means, and most especially our freedom of speech. Let’s give as good as we got over the last 8 years. Do you really contend that if we behave like little nancyboys for the next 8 years, that if a Republican does get in, the Dems won’t again demonize him and drive his ratings to the low 20s?
If you do, you are more than a fool than you look.

it really is time to get down to business. the business of saving our country, not from some random democrat, but from a socialist who isn’t even an american.
remember what sam adams said:

i know i am definitely going to forget they were my “countrymen” just as soon as we kick their asses to the curb…..
