Excuse Me….I Need a Barf Bag!
Speaker Pelosi: “As we gather here today, the American people are watching and waiting. They want to see if we can act on their behalf. They want to know if we have heard their pleas. They’re concerned about their jobs — whether they can hold them. Those who have lost their jobs are concerned about how they are going to be able to have any economic stability for their families. They’re concerned about their health care. They’re concerned about putting food on the table.”
Well, unfortunately, they didn’t hear our “pleas”. We screamed as loud as we could……NO! Yes, we understand, thanks to your lack of leadership and common sense, we, as a nation, find ourselves in a ‘doom and gloom’ scenario. Who brought about the banking problems? Who are the ones making matters much worse? Why dear Madam Speaker…..that would be YOU and your fellow feckless weasels.
And then, we have this:
I held out little hope for common sense to prevail. I was right. Washington, D.C. no longer reflects the will of the people.
My two senators, Alexander and Corker, voted NO. Thank you.

Blackburn Votes No On Democrat Spending Bill
Big Government Stimulus Won’t Create Jobs
Washington, Feb 13 - Congressman Marsha Blackburn (TN-7) today voted against a trillion-dollar spending bill that does little to create the jobs this economy urgently needs. The stimulus package, which costs $1.1 trillion dollars when interest on the massive debt it creates is calculated, could have a price tag as high as $3 trillion if some provisions are made permanent. The federal government will have spent $263,000 per job to fulfill the Democrat leader’s dubious promise of 3 million jobs. Included in this “emergency funding” is $50 million for the National Endowment for the Arts, $300 million for golf carts, and a staggering $8 billon for a high speed rail line from Los Vegas to Los Angeles (possibly the largest earmark ever written).
“It is appropriate that this bill was passed on Friday the 13th because it is destined to become a curse on future generations. In voting no, I asked myself if there was any chance that this bill would create more Tennessee jobs this year than if the taxpayers were allowed to just keep more of their money. For me, that answer was a clear no. As such, I could not justify the massive debt this bill will incur on our country.”

Sen. Frank Lautenberg (D-N.J.) predicted on Thursday that none of his Senate colleagues would “have the chance” to read the entire final version of the $790-billion stimulus bill before the bill comes up for a final vote in Congress.
“No, I don’t think anyone will have the chance to [read the entire bill],” Lautenberg told CNSNews.com.
You never, EVER, sign on to something you haven’t read! Do you go buy a car without reading the fine print? Do you sign a contract without knowing what’s in it? Oh hell no! So, why, for the love of all that’s holy, would those morons in D.C. even consider voting for a bill when NONE of them have a clue as to what, exactly, is in it???? Key word? MORONS!
If they want this money, let them take out of THEIR pockets, NOT OURS!

‘MANY’ BUFFALO RESIDENTS AMONG THOSE KILLED IN CRASH
Federal investigators arrived in Clarence Center today to examine the smoldering wreckage of a commercial plane that crashed into a home just after 10:15 p.m. Thursday, immolating the aircraft and home and killing 50 people.
The first task for the 14 investigators will be retrieving the flight data recorder and the cockpit voice recorder from the wreckage of the plane, which plunged into a home on Long Street.
Victims’ bodies will also begin to be recovered from the site, with the aid of a medical examiner, said Steve Chealander, a National Transportation Safety Board member who arrived in the area early today to inspect the scene.
My prayers are with the families of the victims, the community, and with those whose daunting task it is to work on this.
WIDOW OF 9/11 VICTIM DIES IN BUFFALO PLANE CRASH
One of the victims of Continental Flight 3407, Beverly Eckert, was a Sept. 11 widow who put her never-ending grief to good use to make the country safer.
Just last week, Eckert was at the White House with Barack Obama, part of a meeting the president had with relatives of those killed in the 2001 attacks and the bombing of the USS Cole to discuss how the new administration would handle terror suspects.
Lord grant her, and all the other victims of this horrible tragedy, peace.
Congress Readies Final Vote on $790B Stimulus Bill
“Right now, we have a once in a generation chance to act boldly, to turn adversity into opportunity, and use this crisis as a chance to transform our economy for the 21st century,” Obama said Thursday. “That is the driving purpose of the recovery and reinvestment plan.”
The plan is the signature initiative of the fledgling Obama administration, which is betting that combining tax cuts of just a few dollars a week for most workers with an infusion of hundreds of billions of dollars of government spending over the next few years will arrest the economy’s fall.
As many, MANY, economists has tried to tell him, along with folks with just plain ol’ common sense….something that is sorely lacking in Washington, D.C……this Porkulus bill will do NOTHING to aid the economy. Call, write emails, show up at their damn doorstep if you can, let them know We, THE PEOPLE, who pay their salaries, do NOT approve of their irresponsible actions!
Four Tennessee legislators want Obama to prove citizenship
Several Tennessee lawmakers have signed on to a legal action intended to force President Barack Obama to turn over his birth certificate and other documents to prove his citizenship, an effort rejected by the U.S. Supreme Court in an earlier case.
Tennessee Reps. Eric Swafford, Stacey Campfield, Glen Casada and Frank Niceley have all agreed to be plaintiffs in a planned legal action by a Russian immigrant in California who has challenged whether Obama meets constitutional criteria to be president.
Good for them. Personally, I’d like ALL those records made public, actual certified birth certificate, all school records, passport records, etc. If he’s legal, ok, no problem. If not….then get that SOB out of the White House, and void every single act he’s taken since 20 January! Stop pussy footing around. What’s he got to hide? For a guy who spouted ‘transparency’, I haven’t see diddly! Kind of wish my Rep had signed on. Wonder why he didn’t? Thought he was gonna rock some boats. 
Disgraced former Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick hired as account exec at Covisint
The chairman of Compuware Corp. is defending the hiring of former Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick, a convicted felon, as an account executive.
Peter Karmanos acknowledges that Kilpatrick has a “checkered background.” But he says he’s talented and “uniquely qualified” to call on customers who want to put health-care records in electronic form.
Oh yeah….he’s qualified alright. He knows ALL about putting stuff in “electronic form”. If I did business with that company, I’d put a hault to it, real quick.
Emanuel: WH not ‘amateur hour’
Defending the White House in the wake of Sen. Judd Gregg’s withdrawal as Commerce Secretary, Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel said it is not “amateur hour” and that the Obama administration is still doing better than President Clinton was at this point.
“Some may call it amateur hour. Having been in two separate White Houses, I’m more than — and within our third week given this set of accomplishments — measure them up,” said Mr. Emanuel, who served as a senior adviser in the Clinton White House from 1993 to 1998.

BBC Fights to Hide Report on Anti-Israel Bias
The British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) is fighting a court order that would force it to reveal an internal report on anti-Israel bias. The media giant has reportedly spent 200,000 British pounds (roughly $280,000) on the case.
The legal battle was started by attorney Steven Sugar of London, who contends that the report on bias in its coverage must be made public under the Freedom of Information Act. The 20,000-word report is rumored to have concluded that the BBC’s coverage was biased against Israel, a conclusion that Sugar says is of public interest.
Anyone with two gray cells already KNOWS the BBC is anti-Israel. We don’t need a ‘report’. Sadly, there are too many folks in GB who have no clue they are being spoon fed crap!
