Freedom Worth Having…..

…..is freedom worth fighting for.

As the Mr and I head out to the “Tea Party”, Tennessee style, I thought this would be a good post to share.

The soon to be “Impossible Argument”

What are we protesting and why?

This question has been raised multiple times over the past few days as we plan and plot the events to take place tomorrow. I think it’s vitally important that we explore the full implications of what liberal Democrats (and even a few Republicans) are conspiring to do to the American population.

In fact, I think it’s extremely important that we begin to grasp the underlying capabilities of recent legislation, specifically… the “Stimulus Bill”.

While most of our conversation has surrounded the explosive pork amendments, the outrageous spending involved and the potential expansion in the scale and scope of the United States Government… little has been said about the shocking reality we face once this legislation begins to take hold.

Our argument is that Government intrusion doesn’t work. We assert that less regulation and taxation is key to the success of our country as a whole. Our belief is that the individual is responsible for himself, and once he/she accepts that responsibility, great things can happen.

Eric is one smart cookie.  Please, go read the whole post.  It’ll be worth your while.  And if you are one of those who are against the freedoms that are granted by God, and the U.S. Constitution, then nothing said, or done, will ever make a bit of difference to you.

Our forefathers fought for their freedoms, with word and action.  Can we do less?  And still call ourselves Americans?  I don’t believe so.
