Chicago Tea Party
Sign the Petition for a Chicago Tea Party
Would YOU join us in Chicago for a new, “Boston Tea Party?” IF WE GET ENOUGH SIGNATURES, IT WILL HAPPEN!
Rick Santelli of CNBC tells it like it is, speaking up on the Chicago Board of Trade’s stock floor about the wasteful, regulatory nature of the stimulus bill. He asks – Do YOU want to pay for your neighbor’s mortgage?! His appearance is a virtual call to action! You MUST WATCH THIS VIDEO:
Rick says we should have a new Boston Tea Party – in Chicago, THIS July!
Our petition for you is this – if American Future Fund hosted this tea party, in Grant Park – site of Barack Obama’s Chicago victory speech – would you be there? If we have enough folks say “YES!” then we just might start a major movement with this event. But it has to begin at the grassroots.
Will you be in Chicago to make a statement? Will you forward this to your friends and let them know about the NEW Boston Tea Party – held in July in Chicago? Will you post this on your blog, web site, Twitter and Facebook? Sign our petition today!

Senator Corker, You Lost My Vote
I sent both of my TN senators, Corker and Alexander, emails, urging them to vote against Eric Holder. Well, today, I got Corker’s response:
Dear Mrs. Xxxxxx,
Thank you for taking the time to contact my office to share your concerns about the nomination of Eric Holder for Attorney General of the United States. Your input is important to me and I appreciate the time you took to share your thoughts.
I recognize the importance of ensuring that a highly qualified and knowledgeable person serves as our Attorney General. As a general rule, I believe in allowing discretion to the President to choose the people he wants to fill his Cabinet. However, I had significant concerns with Mr. Holder’s nomination for Attorney General due to his record as Deputy Attorney General and his past analysis of the 2nd Amendment. After carefully reviewing the testimony from Mr. Holder’s confirmation hearing in the Senate Judiciary Committee, while I may disagree with some of Mr. Holder’s views, there was nothing that would disqualify him from this position.
You should know that I fully support the U.S. Supreme Court’s landmark decision striking down the District of Columbia’s handgun ban because I strongly believe in protecting our constitutional rights. This decision is exceptionally significant because for the first time in our nation’s history, the Supreme Court has affirmed that gun ownership is an individual right protected by the Constitution.
The right to own firearms for shooting, hunting, and self-protection is important to me as a Tennessean and as an American. I believe in safeguarding the rights of law-abiding American citizens. I will be a consistent voice for the second amendment, and I will fight attempts to weaken those rights that are granted in the Constitution.
Please take note of the attached “Policy Points” document to learn more about the steps I have taken to protect our 2nd Amendment rights.
Thank you again for your letter. I hope you will continue to share your thoughts with me.
Sincerely,
Bob Corker
United States Senator
Info in the attachment:
Bob Corker: Protecting Your Right to Bear Arms
As a hunter and sportsman, Senator Bob Corker is a strong advocate for the Second Amendment. He believes the constitution provides law abiding citizens the freedom to keep and bear arms.
* Support for an Individual Right.
Senator Corker supports the recent U.S. Supreme Court decision striking down the DC handgun ban and affirming that gun ownership is an individual right.
* Support for Restoring the Second Amendment. Senator Corker was one of the original Cosponsors of S.1001, a bill to restore Second Amendment rights in the District of Columbia. At that time, the citizens of Washington DC were required to register all privately owned firearms and possession of a handgun within the Washington DC city limits was prohibited. This bill would have allowed the ownership of a firearm, including a handgun, in Washington DC.
* Prohibit funding for groups who infringe on the Second Amendment. Senator Corker voted for an amendment that would prohibit any funding to foreign organizations that infringe upon the Second Amendment rights of lawful American citizens.
* Support for Conceal and Carry Laws. Senator Corker supports allowing state conceal and carry laws that would allow people to carry concealed weapons in National Parks and Refuges if state laws allow it.
* Support for National Shooting Sports Foundation. Senator Corker supported the nomination of a National Shooting Sports Foundation representative to be appointed to the Defense Trade Advisory Group to represent the interests of small arms manufacturers. This appointment will protect the interests of small arms manufactures within this group
Well now, Senator Corker, that’s all well and good. However, your support of Holder defies your words, and we both know……actions speak a WHOLE lot louder than words.
As for Alexander? Pfft! I’ve never ONCE gotten a response from that clown. And no, when he was up for re-election this last time around, did NOT vote for hm.
Obviously, we can share our opinions with them, but they don’t listen. I know I’m far from the only person who let them both know Holder was NOT an acceptable choice for Attorney General, given his lack of respect of the Constitution of the United States.
No Morning Coffee Today
Well, obviously. It’s now after 3 p.m. Actually, had a few cups of motel coffee, but we had things to do, so no time to sit around and peruse the ‘papers’. We got home a little while ago, after a very nice afternoon in Corinth.
First, we made a stop in a music store, where the Mr picked on a 6 string banjo. I’ve never heard of a 6 string, and y’know, I’m kind of glad it’s not a common instrument. I didn’t like the sound of it at all. He chatted with a guy about banjos and music. Maybe he’s found another fellow to pick and grin with? One can only hope.
I had heard about the Chinese buffet place there, and since we were in the neighborhood, thought we’d check it out. I really wish we hadn’t. DANG! That was some seriously good stuff. I don’t think either of us is going to be able to eat again until Saturday. Good thing for me though. I’m fasting, starting this evening.
Our last stop…..I got a new toy. Heh.

Ain’t it cute? Well, I like it.
It’s light weight, and my weak ol’ hands don’t have a problem with any of the little buttons and switches and such.
So, after a very nice over night trip, we are now back home, doing what we normally do. I’m on the computer, and the Mr has gone to hide in his man cave.
Verse of the Day
Psalm 40:1-4
1 I waited patiently for the LORD; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry.
2 He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings.
3 And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the LORD.
4 Blessed is that man that maketh the LORD his trust, and respecteth not the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies.
Phone Pictures
I would LOVE to give you a blow by blow of the whole Jeff Dunham show. Obviously, that’s not possible. Needless to say, I don’t think I’ve laughed so hard and so much in a very VERY long time. It was well worth the time, and expense to come down to Tupelo to see him. If you ever get the chance, take it! I apologize for the quality of the pictures. We were on the 17th row, and there were heads in front of us. What can I say? Besides, I took them with my phone, so hush.
First, we had the Guitar Guy. For the life of me, I can only remember his name is Brian….something or other, as the warm up. He was rather funny, and quite talented on the guitar. After a brief break, out came Dunham. He had a hilarious monologue. By the time he brought out Walter, my cheeks were already getting sore.

Next….Achmed. Now, I would have thought he would bring that one out last, since he’s the character most folks remember lately. Nope. Second. Just as well, cuz there wasn’t much in the way of new material, but still funny.

The Guitar Guy came out and did a bit with them. Now THAT was more amusing.

Next was Peanut. I have to tell you, that was the most hilarious part of the show. If you are looking for PC….don’t even think of going to see this guy.

Then Peanut and the Jalapeno stick guy.

The Guitar Guy, once more, made an appearance. Holy cow! It’s a wonder I didn’t wet my britches!
I don’t think Dunham was planning on doing an encore, but he did, and brought out Bubba J. Bubba Jay? Whatever. It was really funny because a large portion of the audience was saying the punch lines along with them.

Seriously, if you ever get the chance…..go. One thing though, I’m not real sure why parents took their pre-teen aged kids with them. There was a LOT of suggestive, and out right sexual content. Not XXX rated, but a bit much for that aged young’uns.
All in all….a terrific night! ![]()
AZ Protest
Yeah yeah….we’re in a hotel with WiFi. And no, I’m not going to be doing a lot of posting. Got things to do, places to go, and people to see. But I HAD to post this picture from the Mesa, AZ protest of B. Hussein’s Porkulus bill.

Me too, sir. Me too!
And there’s NO doubt that conservatives have a sense of humor. Gotta see more of the pictures on Michelle Malkin’s place.

Rancher cleared in rights case
A federal jury in Tucson ruled Tuesday that an Arizona rancher did not violate the civil rights of 16 Mexican nationals he stopped after they sneaked illegally into the United States, but awarded $78,000 in actual and punitive damages on claims of assault and the infliction of emotional distress.
The jury of four men and four women returned the verdict Tuesday afternoon in U.S. District Court in Tucson after a day and a half of deliberation. The jury, after a nine-day trial, also threw out charges of false imprisonment, battery and conspiracy against Douglas, Ariz., rancher Roger Barnett.
What a crock a male bovine excrement! Not one single dime should have gone to the criminals! What the hell is wrong with our legal system???? I suppose I should be happy the charges were dropped, but there should have been NO charges in the first place!!!!! And they ought to feel damn lucky the man didn’t shoot the invaders!
He got so drunk that he fell into the path of a subway train – costing him his right leg – but a Manhattan jury still awarded him $2.3 million after finding that NYC Transit was to blame.
Dustin Dibble, 25, of Brooklyn admitted he’d been boozing it up with friends for four hours before ending up on the tracks at the 14th Street Station with an N train bearing down on him. The impact took off his right leg just below the calf.
He had a .18 blood-alcohol level – more than double the legal limit if he were driving – at the time of the accident, according to hospital records.
Personal responsibility really is a thing of the past. No one but himself caused his injuries, but the city will have to pay for his stupidity. Anyone else see a problem here?
Tennessee lawmaker wants to relax horse meat law
A Tennessee lawmaker wants to legalize the sale of horse meat in the form of whole carcasses.
Rep. Frank Niceley says current laws that require any horse meat sold in Tennessee to first be packaged and labeled. The Strawberry Plains Republican argues that those rules combined with federal laws effectively bans the sale of horse meat in the state.
Niceley says existing laws lead to live horses being hauled to slaughter in Mexico under inhumane conditions.
In Niceley’s words: “Horses don’t need to be dragged across two continents for sale.”
Horse meat? I’ve eaten ostrich, buffalo, rattle snake, cougar, and even tried skunk once. But horses? I don’t think I could do it, any more than I could eat a cat, or a dog. Well, if I was REALLY hungry, maybe. But who eats horse meat? And why?
Teenage mother ‘told to say 13-year-old Alfie was baby’s father to cash in on their story’
Underage father Alfie Patten is the victim of a scam to make as much money as possible out of media deals, it has been claimed.
Chantelle Stedman was told by her mother to say that 13-year-old Alfie was the baby’s father so that they could cash in on their incredible story, according to a close friend of Chantelle’s parents.
Clive Sim, 39, claims that the schoolgirl was ordered to keep quiet about sleeping with other boys so that the ‘teenage dad’ story could be sold to newspapers for thousands of pounds.
Well now, isn’t that peachy. Two sets of “prize” parents. Selling your kids. Wonder if they can be charged with exploitation, pimping, something! There is obvious abuse here. What kind of parents would use their kids to make money? Oh yeah….the welfare type. And that’s what England has become, hasn’t it….a socialist welfare state. A MUSLIM socialist welfare state.
Hamas rejects Israel’s truce conditions
Hamas announced Wednesday is was “rejecting” Israel’s official stand on the ceasefire agreement, which preconditions any long-term truce, as well as the opening of the Gaza crossings, with the release of kidnapped IDF soldier Gilad Shalit.
The organization stressed that its prerequisite to Shalit’s release was the parallel release of 1,000 Palestinian prisoners held in Israel.
Hamas leaders in Damascus chided Israel for essentially scorning Egypt’s meditation efforts, and said that the conditions for the captive soldier’s release were non-negotiable.
I’m starting to wonder if the young man is still alive. Even the Palies know that one Israeli is worth more than a hundred thousand of them. Hamas doesn’t want peace. They never have, they never will. If they got their wish of no Jews, they’d begin to slaughter their neighbors, then their own. They are murderous thugs who have no conscious, no morals, and no humanity.
Beheading in New York Appears to Be Honor Killing, Experts Say
The beheading of 37-year-old Aasiya Hassan has all the markings of an honor killing, psychologists and Islamic experts tell FOXNews.com, as the upstate New York woman’s husband awaits a preliminary hearing on murder charges.
Gee. Y’think? The media is just now figuring out what the majority of us already knew? Criminy. They can make excuses, saying the POS was trying to build bridges and all that, but I’m afraid I just do not believe there is any such thing as a “moderate” Muslim when push comes to shove.
Fitzgerald’s investigation of Ald. Carothers is heating up
Despite the City Council’s sordid history of corruption, Arenda Troutman (20th) was the first Chicago aldermen caught by U.S. Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald for crimes committed while on the City Council.
But the former alderman may not be the last council member in his sights. Sources said a federal investigation of Ald. Isaac Carothers (29th) is heating up, and it apparently goes far beyond Carothers’ relationship with a Chicago developer who moonlighted as an FBI mole.
Last year, the Chicago Sun-Times disclosed that federal investigators had requested city records on four West Side zoning changes pushed by Carothers. He had received campaign contributions from two of the businesses seeking the changes.
Do the people in Chicago really not care? Or is it one of those “that’s the way it’s always been done” scenarios? Criminy! Grow a set people! Get rid of the scum that have destroyed your city. Make a clean break! Sheesh! Thanks to y’all, we’ve got one of YOUR ‘class acts’ in the White House, and we are ALL suffering for it. Thanks ever so much.
Mexicans block bridges to protest army presence in cities
Hundreds of people blocked bridges to the United States in three border cities Tuesday, demanding the army leave in another challenge for the Mexican government as it struggles to quell escalating drug violence.
While there are no doubt abuses by the military, that’s what the Mexican military does, I wonder if those who were protesting really enjoy having drug thugs in charge of their lives? Or were the ones out on the bridges actually in the employment of said thugs? Perhaps there should be some questions? Just a thought.
Court reverses ruling bringing 17 detainees to US
A federal appeals court has overturned a ruling that would have transferred 17 Guantanamo Bay detainees to the United States.
The men are Turkic Muslims known as Uighurs (WEE’-gurz). They have been cleared for release from Guantanamo, but the United States will not send them home to China for fear they will be tortured. So they remain in prison while the U.S. figures out what to do with them.
They could have solved that problem a LONG time ago. No prisoners. Hey….fight fire with fire, right?

Verse of the Day
Isaiah 58:9-11
9 Then shalt thou call, and the LORD shall answer; thou shalt cry, and he shall say, Here I am. If thou take away from the midst of thee the yoke, the putting forth of the finger, and speaking vanity;
10 And if thou draw out thy soul to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted soul; then shall thy light rise in obscurity, and thy darkness be as the noon day:
11 And the LORD shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not.

Voter Fraud
‘An Arab Tried to Vote Eight Times, Wearing Different Keffiyehs’
Note: In case you don’t know, a keffiyeh is that dish towel looking thing many Palestinians wear.
An Arab tried to vote eight times, and others attempted to corrupt voting booth monitors and youths voting with other people’s identification cards in last week’s Knesset election.
Must have been taking lessons from the Dhimmicrats.
Religious election monitors fanned out in Arab polling stations throughout Israel on Election Day, February 10. It was the second national election in which religious monitors made use of the parties’ right to send monitors to polling stations in order to supervise the Arab sector. Their activity is estimated to have prevented vote fraud on a massive scale.
Although these monitors seemed to have prevented quite a bit of fraud, I’m wondering how many got past them?
“Some of the polling stations in which we were present had a six percent voting rates, while ones which we could not reach had 60 percent rates,” said Michel David, a project organizer. “Reach your own conclusions.”
Now, why would Israeli-Arabs be going out of their way to cheat in an election? Let me see….hmmmm….

Oooo……ooooo….. I know! Because they wanted to see a spineless gubmint in place, so there would be even MORE appeasement of the terrorists! How’ma doin’?
“In many places where the monitors were active, the actual voting was less than 30 percent, and then the Arabs tried to ‘reach the quota’ of 60 percent, David said. “They were even willing to add a few Likud votes into the mix so that our guys would remain silent, but we refused and foiled the scheme.”
Why would they have a quota? Why wouldn’t people want to vote on their own? It’s a privileged to be able to cast your vote in free elections.
In one station, a person stood outside outside the voting booth and gave money as well as a blue ID card to whoever entered. A complaint was filed to the police.
What? No cigarettes? Most everyone over there seems to smoke. Why not make it worth their while, eh?
A young woman who looked like 18 years old presented an ID card that belonged to a 50-year-old woman with more than six children. The monitor prevented her from voting. In some places, the monitors complained to the station supervisors, who were Jewish, but the supervisors refused to take action against the Arabs and said “this is the tradition here.” Complaints were filed against those supervisors.
A tradition? No wonder they ended up with spineless weasels in charge, appeasing terrorists….freeing murderers in hopes of peace. Bah! Perhaps the Israelis should find themselves some new monitors, AND get rid of those in charge.
sigh…. Who am I to critisize? Look at the garbage we have in power, right here in the U.S. of A. that we voted in.

The Eleven Most Expensive Catastrophes in History
11. Titanic – $150 Million
The sinking of the Titanic is possibly the most famous accident in the world. But it barely makes our list of top 10 most expensive. On April 15, 1912, the Titanic sank on its maiden voyage and was considered to be the most luxurious ocean liner ever built. Over 1,500 people lost their lives when the ship ran into an iceberg and sunk in frigid waters. The ship cost $7 million to build ($150 million in today’s dollars)

10. Tanker Truck vs Bridge – $358 Million
On August 26, 2004, a car collided with a tanker truck containing 32,000 liters of fuel on the Wiehltal Bridge in Germany . The tanker crashed through the guardrail and fell 90 feet off the A4 Autobahn resulting in a huge explosion and fire which destroyed the load-bearing ability of the bridge. Temporary repairs cost $40 million and the cost to replace the bridge is estimated at $318 Million.
