Olbermann’s Plastic Ivy

Fortunately, we have Keith Olbermann to point out that Rush Limbaugh did not accurately quote the preamble to the Constitution in his CPAC speech last weekend. I’m not sure what scam Olbermann imagined Rush was trying to put over on the American people by saying conservatives believed in the “preamble to the Constitution” and then quoting words from the Declaration of Independence — but Olbermann put an end to that cruel deception!

These small-time opportunities to show off by correcting someone else’s teeny-tiny mistakes are the lifeblood of Olbermann’s MSNBC show, “Countdown.” Olbermann is no more capable of not correcting Rep. Charlie Rangel when he said “inferred,” but meant “implied,” than an obsessive compulsive could pass a sink without washing his hands.

There is utterly no purpose to these lame “gotchas,” except that Olbermann is so desperately insecure that he is willing to waste valuable airtime in order to convince other status-conscious idiots that he is, like, scary-smart.

If you don’t know what Lone Star is, go here.

Now, I don’t know about you, but I wasn’t aware that taxpayers agreed to purchase fast food for welfare recipients.

Schools VS The 1st Amendment

Wilson schools ban God and get sued

The Wilson County school board is back in trouble with God.

Less than a year after a federal judge ruled that the school district had illegally promoted religion, the board faces a new lawsuit.

This time, they are accused of banning God.

The Alliance Defense Fund, on behalf of four families, filed suit Tuesday in U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee, claiming that the school board censored posters for a student-led prayer event.

The dispute involves posters for a “See You at The Pole” event last September at Lakeview Elementary School in Mt. Juliet. The posters included the phrases “In God We Trust” and “God Bless the U.S.A.”

They also included a disclaimer, saying that the event was student led, not school endorsed.

Perhaps the school’s employees should no longer be paid.  I mean, after all, our MONEY says…..

Lakeview officials objected to the God references as well as an invitation to “come and pray,” the suit says. Before the posters, drawn by students, were approved, all religious language had to be covered over.

It is truly sad the so called educators are so utterly clueless. Perhaps, they should actually READ the U.S. Constitution. But why should they? No one else seems to know what’s in there. Here….go read it. I’ll wait.

Cue Jeopardy music.

You back?  Well, did anyone see ANYTHING in that document that denies children the right to pray….at school….at a flagpole……ANYWHERE?  Isn’t way past time for cities and schools to stop caving into the communists?

Here’s a novel concept… ’bout we start educating our kids on the U.S. Constitution, and what is REALLY in there?  Just a thought.  Hmmm….  no….that wouldn’t work.  Then the kids would be a WHOLE lost smarter than their teachers, and the indoctrination would have to stop.

The fiscal 2009 spending bills for federal agencies — some approved last fall and the rest being considered in a catch-all bill by the Senate this week — contain nearly $300 million in earmarks secured by a half-dozen of President Obama’s Cabinet officials before they left Congress to join the new administration.

Cabinet official Total earmarks approved (rounded)
Vice President Biden                                                                          $104 million
Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton                                 $33 million
White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel                                   $13 million
Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood                                         $65 million
Interior Secretary Ken Salazar                                                         $55 million
Labor Secretary Hilda L. Solis                                                           $12 million

Am I the only one who sees a problem here…..other than the obvious? I thought there were going to be no more earmark?  You mean to tell me…..GASP…..that B. Hussein LIES?

Killer to Be “Knighted”

Ted Kennedy to be knighted

Ted Kennedy, one of the leading members of the family dynasty that dominated American politics in the final decades of the last century, is to receive an honorary knighthood.

Gordon Brown will announce the award today when he becomes the fifth British Prime Minister to give a speech to both Houses of Congress.

Senator Kennedy, who has represented Massachusetts for nearly 50 years, will get the distinction from the Queen for his services to the US-UK relationship and to the Northern Ireland peace process.

Let’s face. I’ve been losing respect for GB for quite some time. This pretty much puts the nail in the coffin….no pun intended.

Gagging Patients

4 March 2009, 11:43 am. Comments Off. Filed under Health Care.

Doctors find way to stop bad online reviews

The anonymous comment on was unsparing: “Very unhelpful, arrogant,” it said of a doctor. “Did not listen and cut me off, seemed much too happy to have power (and abuse it!) over suffering people.”

Such reviews are becoming more common as consumer ratings services including Zagat’s and Angie’s List expand beyond restaurants and plumbers to medical care, and some doctors are fighting back.

They’re asking patients to agree to what amounts to a gag order that bars them from posting negative comments online.

“Consumers and patients are hungry for good information” about doctors, but Internet reviews provide just the opposite, contends Dr. Jeffrey Segal, a North Carolina neurosurgeon who has made a business of helping doctors monitor and prevent online criticism.

Well, considering the way a large number of doctors are treating their patients these days, there SHOULD be a way to vent! At one point, I had written down questions I wanted to ask my doctor (who I do NOT see anymore) and I never got past the first one. She cut me off, dismissed my concerns, and walked out the door. And this after waiting for 2 hours. Medicine is not a freakin’ assembly line. No, gagging patients is not a real good idea.  Many illnesses get misdiagnosed, or ignored altogether because doctors DO NOT LISTEN.

His company, Medical Justice, is based in Greensboro, N.C. For a fee, it provides doctors with a standardized waiver agreement. Patients who sign agree not to post online comments about the doctor, “his expertise and/or treatment.”

Segal’s company advises doctors to have all patients sign the agreements. If a new patient refuses, the doctor might suggest finding another doctor. Segal said he knows of no cases where longtime patients have been turned away for not signing.

In other words, a doctor can treat you like nothing more than a gnat, and you can’t say anything about it? One thing this guy has forgotten…..there is also word of mouth. If the patient is so mistreated, then the SOB shouldn’t be practicing medicine at all.

Since Segal’s company began offering its service two years ago, nearly 2,000 doctors have signed up. In several instances, he said, doctors have used signed waivers to get sites to remove negative comments.

Segal said the waivers are aimed more at giving doctors ammunition against Web sites than against patients. Still, the wording warns that breaching the agreement could result in legal action against patients.

So, let’s say I sign such an agreement, and the doctor is rude, inattentive and crass. I have no recourse? I can’t post a negative review of his/her services? Or I could be sued? What is wrong with this picture!

John Swapceinski, co-founder of, said six doctors have recently asked him to remove negative online comments based on patients’ signed waivers. He has refused.

“They’re basically forcing the patients to choose between health care and their First Amendment rights, and I really find that repulsive,” Swapceinski said.

Damn skippy! And as far as I know, we do still have the freedom of speech, although, for how long??? Anyone’s guess.

Top Democrats cross Obama on earmarks

Mr. Obama also drew criticism from his party for his call to raise taxes on high earners, especially his plan to limit some taxpayers’ itemized deductions for charitable donations.

House Majority Leader Steny H. Hoyer became the second leading congressional Democrat in a week to push back against Mr. Obama’s drive to curb member-directed earmarks on spending bills.

Saying he was open to the president’s “suggestions” about how to reform the spending process, the Maryland Democrat told reporters, “I don’t think the White House has the ability to tell us what to do. I hope you all got that down.”

After watching the Queen P bounce up and down at that speech last week, I was wondering if anyone in Washington with a D after their name had an ounce of sense. Let’s face, the man 52% of the country thinks of as presidential material is one of the most clueless, and dangerous people ever to sit in the Oval Office. And it seems that some who voted for him are getting the picture.

DeSoto woman accused in death of 4-year-old thrown from bed

A woman is accused of throwing a 4-year-old from a bed and causing injuries that led to the girl’s death, DeSoto police said today.

Lasonia Rochelle Darton, 31, was arrested Tuesday on an accusation of murder in the death of Trinity Childs. Darton, who had lived with the child and the child’s mother, was being held at a Dallas County jail. Her bond was not immediately available.

Unbelievable. The article also states the child had been showing symptoms for 3 days prior to be taken to the hospital. Wouldn’t you think the mother would have called the kid’s doctor? I just do not understand how people can be so callous with children.

Iran: We can hit Israeli nuclear sites

Iranian missiles can reach Israeli “nuclear” sites, Mohammad Ali Jafari, the commander-in-chief of the Islamic republic’s Revolutionary Guards, said Wednesday.

“All the nuclear facilities in different parts of the land under the occupation of the Zionist regime are in the reach of Iran’s missile defenses,” Jafari was quoted by the ISNA news agency as saying.

Meanwhile, Iran’s supreme leader criticized what he called President Barack Obama’s “unconditional” support for Israel, saying he was following the same mistaken policies as the Bush administration.

I guess these clowns were expecting B. Hussein to show his Muslim roots by calling for the destruction of Israel? It’s is past time to stop Iran. It’s been tried “peacefully”, through “diplomacy”, now it’s time to flatten their nuke facilities, and destroy their missiles….for the safety and well being of the entire free world.

TVA president: Agency working to curb credit card abuse

An audit by TVA’s inspector general found use of TVA-issued credit cards meant for small business-related purchases has grown to more than $75 million annually. Auditors found questionable purchases, including alcohol, televisions and Internet software, and a lack of oversight in a two-year review of the card system.

TVA President and Chief Executive Tom Kilgore told The Associated Press that he reminded the agency’s nearly 12,000 employees in an e-mail Tuesday “of their responsibilities on the proper use and the consequences of misuse.”

Well, let’s close the barn door after all the cows are out in the pasture, why don’t we. How utterly ridiculous! $75 MILLION spent on personal items, and no one bothers to look when paying the bills? Didn’t someone think it rather ODD???  And how much would it have cost to fix the seepage and erroded walls?

Arrest Warrant Issued For Sudan President

It is the first time the International Criminal Court (ICC) has issued an order against a sitting head of state.

Omar Hassan al Bashir will face five counts of crimes against humanity and two of war crimes.

However Bashir will not face charges of genocide as requested by the ICC’s chief prosecutor, court spokesman Laurence Blairon said.

Uh….why not?

She said Bashir and other high level Sudanese political and military leaders had orchestrated and coordinated the attacks.

All under his direction, so why isn’t he being charged along with his minions?

Ex-Daley aide goes on trial for corruption

Opening statements are expected today in the federal corruption trial of former Chicago Streets and Sanitation Commissioner Al Sanchez.

But first U.S. District Judge Robert W. Gettelman will hear arguments and decide whether the jury has enough Hispanic representation — an issue raised by Sanchez’s lawyer after four out of five Hispanics called into the jury pool Tuesday were rejected.

Is this guy an American? Is so, then what difference does it make whether or not there are Hispanics on the jury?  And if they are Hispanic, then they shouldn’t be serving on a jury in ANY state.

Blinded Iranian seeks eye-for-eye justice

Ameneh Bahrami, 30, told Cadena SER radio, “I am not doing this out of revenge, but rather so that the suffering I went through is not repeated.”

Late last year an Iranian court ruled that the man—identified only as Majid—who blinded Bahrami in 2004 after she spurned him, should also be blinded with acid based on the Islamic law system of “qisas,” or eye for an eye retribution, according to Iranian newspaper reports from November.

But Bahrami, who moved to Spain after the attack to get medical treatment, said Wednesday that under Iranian law, she is entitled to blind him in only one eye, unless she pays euro20,000 ($25,110), because in Iran women are not considered equal to men.

So, this piece of excrement blinds this young woman, in BOTH eyes, yet his punishment is only half? Pardon me while I spew a few four lettered words. That right there is just one good reason that Islam should NOT be tolerated in the free world. Will the POS do any jail time? Probably not.

Mexico’s drug war creates new class of refugees

The Juarez police lieutenant was recovering from three gunshot wounds, the result of an assault by hit men for a drug cartel. His name was on a death list brazenly posted at a monument for fallen peace officers. Lt. Salvador Hernandez Arvizu didn’t like his odds of surviving in Mexico. So he fled his hospital bed, hoping to take refuge in the U.S.

At a border post in El Paso, he filled out immigration paperwork, made a formal request for political asylum — and was taken directly to jail.

While I understand the desire to get away from the violence in Mexico, I also understand that if the Mexican government, on all levels, had stopped the corruption a long time ago, odds are, things would never have gotten this far out of hand.

Verse of the Day

John 10:9-14

9 I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.

10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

11 I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.

12 But he that is an hireling, and not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, seeth the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep, and fleeth: and the wolf catcheth them, and scattereth the sheep.

13 The hireling fleeth, because he is an hireling, and careth not for the sheep.

14 I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine.
