Are ‘Hope’ And ‘Change’ Still Tax-Deductible?

Are you sitting down? Obama plans to pay for his $3.6 trillion-dollar spending bill by raising taxes on “the rich.” I know, I know … I was pretty shocked, too.

The bad news is, by hiking taxes in a recession, Obama will turn a disaster into a catastrophe. But there’s good news, too. The “rich” include most of Obama’s biggest supporters.

While liberals love being praised for their looks, their style, their brilliance and their courage, the one quality they don’t want talked about is their money. To the contrary, Democrats are constantly boasting about how poor they are — as if that’s a virtue in a capitalist society with no class barriers.

No matter how much money they have, liberals will be damned if they’re giving up the poor’s mantle of angry self-righteousness. This is especially true if their wealth came by inheritance, marriage or the taxpayer, the preferred sources of income for Liberalus Americanus.

On A Personal Note

Just a quick update to say that there WILL be more posting.  Kate did not place her trust in me lightly, and I will do my best not to let her down.  The next day or so the posting will be light, as I have a medical procedure being performed on Friday so I am trying to get things in order at the office and at home today and tomorrow.  I plan on taking LOTS of time over the weekend to catch up on the news and I’m pretty darn sure that there will be much to rant about.   So please stay tuned – I’ve only just begun!

Vicodin ranting – heh!!  This should be fun…

Deuteronomy 8:18-20

18 But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.

19 And it shall be, if thou do at all forget the LORD thy God, and walk after other gods, and serve them, and worship them, I testify against you this day that ye shall surely perish.

20 As the nations which the LORD destroyeth before your face, so shall ye perish; because ye would not be obedient unto the voice of the LORD your God.

Lower Than Pigs!

Home from the war… and our troops are greeted by abuse from Muslim protesters

Over the past two years they have spent day after day patrolling hostile territory, where every passer-by could have a gun or a bomb.

So the 200 men of the 2nd Battalion Royal Anglian Regiment perhaps had a right to expect a heroes’ welcome yesterday on a homecoming parade through Luton.

Instead, they were faced with the hate-filled jeers of anti-war protesters waving placards saying: ‘Anglian soldiers: Butchers of Basra,’ and ‘Anglian soldiers: cowards, killers, extremists.’

assholes

I’m going to be real honest here. The British government has allowed these vermin to invade, breed, and take over their country. That being said, there is NO excuse for anyone to so abuse the very people that allows them to be pigs!  No, I take that back.  Why insult pigs by comparing them to the pedophile followers?

U.S. Courts VS U.S. Citizens

10 March 2009, 7:02 pm. 2 Comments. Filed under Crime, Feckless Weasels, War on Terror.

While Mizzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz Chris is out partying with the buds this evening, at Drinking Right, I thought this particular little tidbit should be shared.

The War Is Over

Last Friday, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit dealt a crushing blow to national defense. The three-judge panel’s ruling in al Odah v. United States has gotten scarce media attention. Perhaps that’s understandable: It’s a mind-numbing technical dispute over “discovery” in litigation, vying for attention against the socializing of our economy and the consequent collapse of the stock market. But the discovery in question is the most vital kind, namely, that of classified national-defense information. What is in dispute is how much sensitive intelligence we must share with enemies bent on annihilating Americans — enemies against whom the people’s representatives have authorized, by overwhelming margins, the use of force. That is, these “petitioners” are the militants who — along with al-Qaeda’s hierarchy and affiliates — use the intelligence we give them against the soldiers we have dispatched to fight the battles Congress has authorized, under the direction of a president whose first duty is the prosecution of the war.

I beg your pardon?  Why on earth would ANYONE, with one drop of common sense, share information with those who are hell bent to destroy us?

Wanna get real pissed off???  Go read the whole thing.  I have neither the patience, nor inclination, to comment further.

Another Stimulus?

10 March 2009, 1:58 pm. 4 Comments. Filed under Chris From Racine, Dhimmicrats, Economy, Feckless Weasels, Taxes.

Well folks, they’re at it again.  House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said Tuesday that Congress needs to “keep the door open” to a second stimulus package.

“The word of the day is confidence. Confidence in our markets, confidence in lending, confidence in our financial institutions,” Pelosi said before suggesting the need for a second rescue package during a press conference Tuesday following a meeting with top economists.

Confidence?  Are you kidding?  On what planet has Speaker Pelosi been living?  While markets are tanking and the lending and financial institutions are taking bailout money, i.e. OUR money, how can this moron spout off about confidence??  According to The Conference Board, consumer confidence is at an all time low.  More about it here.  Says Lynn Franco, director of the Conference Board Consumer Research Center,

“All in all, not only do consumers feel overall economic conditions have grown more dire, but just as disconcerting, they anticipate no improvement in conditions over the next six months,”

Mark Zandi, chief economist and founder of Moody’s Economy, says “We are going to need more taxpayer money … I think another stimulus package is a reasonable assumption because of the way things are going”   This really chaps my hide.  I don’t know about you, but I really don’t have any more to give.  When are the idiots in DC going to realize that there ISN’T any more?  More and more people are losing their jobs every day.  More and more businesses are closing their doors every day.  And these doofuses have the unmitigated gall to say that they need MORE of our money?  I have many words floating around in my head right now, but in deference to my hostess here, I will refrain from spouting them.

Acts 2:26-28

26 Therefore did my heart rejoice, and my tongue was glad; moreover also my flesh shall rest in hope:

27 Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell, neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.

28 Thou hast made known to me the ways of life; thou shalt make me full of joy with thy countenance.

Rest In Peace

Yesterday, I posted about my friend’s niece.  Today, I received this:

Madison man faces charge in fatal Stoughton Road crash

A 29-year-old Madison man is tentatively being charged with homicide by drunken driving following a crash that claimed the life of a Madison woman early Sunday morning.

Jennifer Jastrow, 21, Madison, was killed when her car was hit broadside by a pickup truck driven by Jesse R. Ruegsegger.

The crash happened about 12:45 a.m. Sunday at Stoughton Road and Hanson Road on the city’s far northeast side.

According to police reports, Ruegsegger was west on Hanson Road when he allegedly failed to stop at a stop sign and hit Jastrow’s Pontiac Grand Am, which was southbound on Stoughton Road.

Jastrow was pronounced dead at the scene.

Ruegsegger was previously convicted of drunken driving in Dane County in 2002, court records show.

At this point, I have to ask….does he have convictions in other counties?  Or states?  Do people not learn?  Do they not understand the consequences of their actions?  Do they not care?

Double Talk

9 March 2009, 10:02 am. Comments Off. Filed under Economy, The ONE.

Obama’s Double Talk

Obama is a great pretender. He repeatedly says he is doing things that he isn’t, trusting his powerful rhetoric to obscure the difference. He has made “responsibility” a personal theme; the budget’s cover line is “A New Era of Responsibility.” He says the budget begins “making the tough choices necessary to restore fiscal discipline.” It doesn’t.

And y’all that bought into his BS?  Thanks for putting the nail in our coffin!

A prudent president would have made a “tough choice” — concentrated on the economy; deferred his more contentious agenda. Similarly, Obama claims to seek bipartisanship but, in reality, doesn’t. His bipartisanship consists of including a few Republicans in his Cabinet and inviting some Republican congressmen to the White House for the Super Bowl. It does not consist of fashioning proposals that would attract bipartisan support on their merits. Instead, he clings to dubious, partisan policies (mortgage cramdown, union card check) that arouse fierce opposition.

A prudent country wouldn’t have elected such an arrogant weasel as POTUS.

Stimulus Jobs for Illegals

9 March 2009, 7:25 am. 9 Comments. Filed under Borders, Illegals.

According to an article in USA Today, many of the jobs created by the stimulus package will go to illegal immigrants.

LOS ANGELES — Tens of thousands of jobs created by the economic stimulus law could end up filled by illegal immigrants, particularly in big states such as California where undocumented workers are heavily represented in construction, experts on both sides of the issue say.

Studies by two conservative think tanks estimate immigrants in the United States illegally could take 300,000 construction jobs, or 15% of the 2 million jobs that new taxpayer-financed projects are predicted to create.

They fault Congress for failing to require that employers certify legal immigration status of workers before hiring by using a Department of Homeland Security program called E-Verify. The program allows employers to check the validity of Social Security numbers provided by new hires. It is available to employers on a voluntary basis.

“They could have deterred this, but they chose not to,” said Steven Camarota, director of research for the Center for Immigration Studies.

He said a federal requirement that employers use E-Verify would have reduced, if not eliminated, the hiring of immigrants in this country illegally.

Someone please tell me I’m having a nightmare.  We have millions of citizens unemployed in this country; the rate of unemployment is expected to hit the double digits, and ILLEGAL immigrants are going to take those jobs??  Undocumented workers my a$$.  Folks, these people are criminals by the very fact that they are in this country illegally.  I don’t care how law abiding they are once they’re here…they broke the law by crossing the border.  Now they’re going to take jobs away from our citizens?

Maybe this is what will finally get this country off its collective a$$ and do something about this problem.   Perhaps the threat of so many stimulus created jobs, meaning, by the way that we taxpayers are paying for them, may be going to illegals when so many of our citizens are trying to figure out how they are going to put food on the table will be the breaking point.  One can only hope.

Romans 8:27-29

27 And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

Sincere Sympathy and Prayers

I got news today that my very good friend from Waupun, Sue, lost her niece, Jenny, 21, to a drunk driver last night.  Words cannot express the pain I feel in my heart for her and the family, nor the anger at the blatant disregard of life.

My prayers are with you, my friend!
