Muslims: ‘We Do That On First Dates’

Without any pretense of an argument, which liberals are neurologically incapable of, the mainstream media are now asserting that our wussy interrogation techniques at Guantanamo constituted “torture” and have irreparably harmed America’s image abroad.

Only the second of those alleged facts is true: The president’s release of the Department of Justice interrogation memos undoubtedly hurt America’s image abroad, as we are snickered at in capitals around the world, where they know what real torture is. The Arabs surely view these memos as a pack of lies. What about the pills Americans have to turn us gay?

Take Your Child to Work Day – Suicide Bomber Style

In another story that should undoubtedly make your blood pressure go up, a female suicide bomber takes her child to work.

Having spent this morning catching up on my weekend reading, I came across this Page 4 article from Friday’s New York Times. Here’s the lead paragraph: “BAGHDAD — At least 80 people died and 120 others were injured Thursday in three bombings, one by a female suicide bomber in Baghdad who, Iraqi officials said, held a young child’s hand as she set off her explosives among a group of women and children receiving emergency food aid.”

Even putting aside our baseline revulsion at terrorism, there are three especially hideous things that jump out from this:

1) A mother deliberately taking her (presumed) child with her as she immolates herself. For all the hundreds of suicide bombings that Iraq has already witnessed, this has got to be a first.

2) This was a line for food aid. Islamists have gone from attacking U.S. soldiers, to attacking Iraqi soldiers, to attacking police stations, to attacking the religious ceremonies of rival sects — on down the line of nihilism until, now, they are reduced to blowing up hungry people seeking sustenance.

3) This hideous crime was played on page four of The New York Times. And a quick scan of other media suggests it got similar B-rate treatment elsewhere. This sort of act would have been worth a worldwide banner headline a decade ago. But now, it’s just another demented Islamist senselessly slaughtering fellow Muslims. With her kid. Yawn.

Says a lot about the world we live in, doesn’t it?

These are the people the anointed one wants to sit down and talk with?  These are the people that some on the left feel can be reasoned with?  These are the people about who Rosie O’Donnell says “Don’t fear the terrorists. They’re mothers and fathers.”  Well guess what Rosie – you were right!  This terrorist WAS a mother, who because of her beliefs, decided that an innocent child would never again see the light of day.  These “mothers” and “fathers” have no other agenda but to kill those who don’t agree with them.  But let’s not be afraid of them, shall we?  After all, they probably came from a broken home/have “issues”/been abused.  Isn’t that the mantra of the left?  Everyone’s a victim?  Except, in THIS case, the real victims were the people who were waiting in line for assistance, and the child that was holding the hand of someone he/she most likely trusted.

When will folks realize that these people don’t give two hoots about peace?  They want what they want, and will kill anyone who stands in their way.  So, while The One is bowing and scraping and apologizing for the country which he is supposed to be leading, our enemies are rubbing their hands together in glee – just waiting for the next opportunity.  They have no interest in diplomatic relations – they’ve already vowed to kill all the infidels.  And friends – that means me and you.

Holder urges allies to take share of detainees

The United States and its allies must make sacrifices to close the Guantanamo Bay detention center, U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder said Wednesday in a high-profile appeal for Europe’s help.

I’ll be happy to make a few sacrifices when it comes to the trash down there at Gitmo. I’d be thrilled to donate a few boxes of ammo to the cause.

In answer to a question about Bush administration officials’ decisions to authorize tough interrogation techniques, Holder said he believed that many of them would, privately, admit to having made some mistakes in the pressure and worry that followed the Sept. 11 attacks.

“I don’t suspect that would be true of Vice President Dick Cheney,” Holder added.

Cheney’s not alone. I have to ask….is it absolutely necessary to bring up either Bush or Cheney every single time anyone in the B. Hussein’s speaks… ANY audience? Honestly, they sounds like a bunch of petulant children whining….”well he did it first”…..blah blah blah blah….whiiiiiiiiiiiiiine! Jiminy crickets!

At another point, a questioner earnestly asked of those Guantanamo detainees who are believed to be innocent could be put in a hotel somewhere.

“Hotels might be a possibility, it depends on where the hotel is,” joked Holder.

If they are innocent, why were they in Gitmo? Sorry. I honestly don’t think there were all that many ‘innocents’ that were taken. A few perhaps, but I’d rather have 1 innocent guy locked up, than allow hundreds of the guilty running the roads. Hey. If Holder finds this all so amusing, why doesn’t he invite those folks to come live with him?

“We have about 30 or so where we’ve made the determination that they can be released. So we will, I think, relatively soon, be reaching out to specific countries with specific detainees and ask whether or not there might be a basis for the moving of those people from Guantanamo to those countries,” Holder said.

Yeah….we saw how well that worked out the last time.

Holder said he has been telling European officials over the past week that “the problem that it created is best solved by a unified response.”

I bed your pardon? Who created the problem? Uh…. Am I misunderstanding the meaning of that statement? Is he blaming US for the need to even have those animals locked up?

Holder spoke before the announcement that a Spanish magistrate had opened an investigation of Bush officials on harsh interrogation methods. Holder didn’t rule out cooperating in such a probe.

“Obviously, we would look at any request that would come from a court in any country and see how and whether we should comply with it,” Holder said.

I wonder if Mr Holder is aware that opening such a door could also mean HE, and The ONE, could be investigated in the future by foreign countries?

“This is an administration that is determined to conduct itself by the rule of law and to the extent that we receive lawful requests from an appropriately created court, we would obviously respond to it,” he said.

Whose laws? I haven’t seen much evidence they think too highly of OUR laws, considering the trampling of the U.S. Constitution. The same kind of trampling the left accused the Bush administration of perpetrating.

Just sayin’.

Well, at least in my opinion. Just a few samples.

On the right…..

You own a pickup truck;

You have ever voted for a third party candidate;

You think “tea bagging” actually involves tea;

You know what honor, respect and patriotism are;

From the left…..

You got rid of your refrigerator in an attempt to be more “green”;

You have ever felt “white guilt”;

You get “chills” up and down your leg when Obama speaks;

You own, have ever owned, will ever own a Prius;

What a great “list” from The Silent Majority.

Judges Gone Weird

Woman gets 30 days in jail for texting in court

A Utah mother of four small children has been jailed on a judge’s order to serve 30 days behind bars for allegedly sending a text message while she was watching a court proceeding.

The report comes from her father-in-law, Dennis Jackson, who told WND of the series of events that left his daughter-in-law, Susan Henwood, imprisoned.

A spokeswoman in the clerk’s office for Judge Stephen L. Henriod of Utah’s Third District Court confirmed the woman was jailed for the 30 days on the judge’s order over the issue of texting.

Texting? Was she behind the wheel of a car, driving? No. That would just be a fine in some states.

Susan Henwood allegedly sent a text message, an action that didn’t affect the hearing, its participants, or the judge, but later was reported to him by a member of the court staff, according to Jackson.

She was summoned to court where Henriod ordered her immediately to jail for 30 days, responding to a request for bail with the condition that it would be allowed only if her husband paid a $70,000 judgment stemming from the civil dispute, Jackson reported.

To be perfectly honest, this sounds more like the judge is holding Mrs Henwood hostage.

Jackson reported there were no notices or warnings posted, a statement contradicted by the clerk’s office spokeswoman, who told WND that visitors to court were told of the judge’s ban on text messages. However, when asked how the warning was delivered, by sign or verbal statement, she said, “I have no idea.”

Well now, it’s quite possible there were no signs put up, at the time, and it’s also possible that no one made the announcement before the proceedings started.

He [Jackson] pointed out that the judge has made similar rulings in the past, once telling a woman in court for having too many dogs after having been cited earlier for the same thing: “She should have taken a gun and shot the other five before she came back to court, if she didn’t have any other options. … She’s going to jail today.”

Is this judge on some sort of medication? He must have missed a dose. Evidently, the man has never had pets.

Conversely, in another case, Henriod gave a former teacher probation for having sex nearly 50 times with a 16-year-old boy.

“What is of primary importance to me is that [the boy] is doing well,” the judge ruled.

Probation? For a sex predator?  But jail time for having too many dogs?  A text message! Does anyone else see a problem here?

With a good numbers of judges, playing god from the bench, is it any wonder the very moral fabric of our nation has become so skewed?  This clown needs to be removed from the bench!
