An Ol' Broad's Ramblings
Never Again!
If you read the recent Bipartisan Statement on U.S. Middle East Peacemaking, you can be very impressed by the credentials of the ten participants. You can also be stunned at how such a lofty group can be so ignorant of the history of the last century. After reading their statement three times, it was easy to come to the conclusion that they were passing around a bong while writing this statement of irrationality.
You must be impressed with their guile. They call it “A Last Chance for a Two-State Israel-Palestine Agreement.” Certainly with names like Scowcroft, Brzezinski, Volcker, Wolfensohn and Thomas Pickering involved, you can see how they came to this heady claim. The fact that there did not seem to be one member in the group pitching for the safety and security of our ally, Israel, becomes quite evident when you read the 17 stunning pages that make up this ego stroke.
Did none of these 10…people not read their history? Are they so unaware that they’d actually believe splitting up Israel, and Jerusalem specifically, would bring any sort of peace?
Not even once does this document state the Israeli’s principle point of negotiation – recognition by the negotiating parties to Israel’s right to exist. We are not even speaking of their right to exist as a Jewish State. The plan does not even mention that the Arab parties need to recognize Israel as neither a beginning point of agreement nor an ending point. One would like to ask these people of immense knowledge and experience what they were thinking when they did not include this in their plan. Why would any country have serious negotiations with another that does not believe in its right to exist?
Those that would be appeased will NEVER recognize Israel’s right to exist. Why? Well, that’s a question for the ages. Perhaps it’s because they will NEVER bow to Mecca?
To protect Israel the authors suggest a U.S. led multinational force under a U.N. mandate. That must give Israeli mothers tons of comfort for the safety of their children. Other than the fact that the U.S. is involved, we can easily see the blue helmets of the U.N. running for cover ala Rwanda or many others places. Since they propose a non-militarized Palestinian State, the Israelis should rest easy. The question is do the American troops have to be in the middle of this for the next 300-400 years? What happens if the Americans do not want to be there anymore? Should the Israelis then rely on a force from Egypt, Jordan or France?
Are they freakin’ kidding??????? What mental moron came up with THAT ridiculous idea? For one thing, the Israelis do not need to be under the ‘wing’ of anyone, and that includes the U.S. They’ve been protecting themselves, quite well, from the scum that continues to attack them.
This babble would fall into the trash if it were not for the current administration. If it were released two years ago, President Bush would have swatted it away understanding the great harm this proposal would cause. It would be hard to fathom any five Republicans supporting this proposal other than the ones involved. But notice this proposal was released in January, in time for Obama and his team to soak it up and that is apparently what they have done.
For a group of Americans to even put forth such nonsense as this ‘plan’, under any administration, just boggles the mind. Say what you will about Bush, he would have put this piece of crap exactly where it belongs…..in the trash!
The plan drafters included a point that Jerusalem should be split into parts and become the capital of a Palestinian State and Israel. Does anyone really consider this a plausible solution? Since 1967 when Israel took over all of Jerusalem, it has become a mecca for people of all major faiths to experience. If the city were to split, it is quite apparent that Jews and Christians will not be welcome or feel safe in parts of the city. Why would the world want to have this happen once again to such an important historical place? When has a city been split into two parts and successfully served as the capital of two distinct countries? This proposal is not only unworkable, it is just plain silly.
Jerusalem can not, MUST not, ever be divided!
In 1967, the Israelis fought a war for 6 days, and kicked ass! They gained lands that had originally been given to them by a MUCH Higher Authority (Joshua 1:2-4). Since that time, little by little, a variety of politicians have carved up that hard earned territory and given over to those same people who would see them dead. The logic of this has always escaped me.
There are people who complain about the walls that Israel has put up, but those people are as clueless as are those who wrote this report. It’s called survival. I can only assume that those 10 who came up with these absurd ideas are the same types who don’t believe we should have a wall protecting us from invasion.
While we were in Israel, we saw a lot of different areas. You could tell the different between the Israeli-Arab areas and those controlled by the Palis. The Israeli-Arabs have greater freedom than those behind the walls, and that is thanks to the Israelis. I’ll also point out that Israel is a WHOLE lot cleaner than areas under Palestinian control. Some might think that’s irrelevant, I’d say it speaks volumes about the people themselves, not just their so called leadership, or lack there of.
Many survivors of the horrors of WWII made their way to a land promised to them by God Himself. Who are we, or anyone else, to deny them a home? Are we going to continue Hilter’s work, or stand with Israel and say “NEVER AGAIN!”?

I wish it were so…but as this world under the curse spins to its final destination we can only take comfort in Mark ch 13 and prepare for the final assualt on all of those who believe in the end times. Our job is to keep our eyes on Christ. look for the deception to continue, the destruction of all things good, and the charlitians to continue to lead people down the road to ruination. It is fortold and you, I nor anyone else can change it. Those who will not see cannot be made to see…those who seek the truth can be shown the truth if we show it, tell it, sing it…keep the faith.
I did a post a day or two ago on Palestine and Israel and recounted why the 1967 War happened. It is quite a story – the reasons for the war. American continue to see Israel as an “occupier” and that is a complete denial of truth.
If the world can find a way to give Jerusalem to Islam, they will do it.
There will never be a two-state solution (my prediction).
This should make blood shoot out of your eyes! UN Security Council: New Arab State Urgently Needed Like Arabs don’t already have enough states? Have those morons ever looked at a map?
