It takes about 10 days to get the flags from the manufacturer, then a couple of days via Priority Mail to get them in your hands, so, we can have them well before the 4th of July!
These flags are simply gorgeous, they measure 24″ x 38″ and have lanyard rings. They are very well constructed and I was totally impressed when I saw the finished product.
My partner in this venture is ordering quite a few flags as I post this message. We are pretty certain that folks will want one, and I assure you, the REAL flag looks infinitely better than the picture does. Our digital camera sux.

Obama Rhetoric vs Health Care Reality
Campaigning for his health care plan yesterday, President Barack Obama told a Green Bay, Wisconsin audience: “Right now a number of my Republican friends have said, ‘We can’t support anything with a public option.’ It’s not clear that it’s based on any evidence as much as it is their thinking, their fear, that somehow once you have a public plan that government will take over the entire health care system.” In fact, the opposite is true. It is President Obama who is operating on rhetoric without any evidence to back up his claims. Consider the following four themes crucial to Obama’s argument:
1. You will be able to keep your doctor and health insurance if you want.
On the contrary, an independent analysis has shown that up to 119 million Americans could lose the coverage they have today under a Medicare-like public plan. The whole notion that a public plan would help increase competition defies common sense. For one thing, the government cannot create a level playing field between its own plan and private plans. It would be like an umpire at a baseball game also fielding a team. The playing field will always tilt towards the government plan that would eventually run out. And that is the whole point of the public plan. Just ask public plan architect Jacob Hacker: “Someone once said to me this is a Trojan Horse for single-payer, and I said, well it’s not a Trojan Horse, right? It’s just right there.”
2. You will have the choice of buying health coverage that is similar to the plan available to members of Congress.
During the campaign, President Obama continued to tell people that his plan would give the same coverage offered to Members of Congress through the Federal Employees Health Benefit Program (FEHBP). First, there is no public plan in FEBHP. Second, there is no “one-size-fits-all plan” in FEBHP. The plans offered vary by price, benefit and region. As a matter of fact there are over 250 plans offered through FEBHP including at least a dozen national plans that are available wherever you live. Under the President’s planned version of an “exchange” and detailed in congressional plans, the federal government would have unprecedented control over the type of coverage Americans can buy, resulting in a “one-size-fits-all” federal standard which would limit choices for families and weaken incentives for insurers to compete for enrollees based on value.
3. No government bureaucrat will second-guess decisions about your care.
Nobody wants to get between a person and their doctor, yet President Obama wants to establish a Federal Health Board — a Supreme Court of health care that would micromanage the practice of medicine through “best practices” and “comparative effectiveness.” Ironically, the examples the President pointed out yesterday of high-quality, low-cost care systems would probably not exist today had government been involved in them. The federal bureaucracy would destroy innovation and change would be slow to come by. So, in twenty years the American health care system would be stuck (again) in an outdated 2000 health care model.
4. American families will save money.
The President’s health plan is estimated to cost $1.6 trillion over 10 years. He plans to pay for some of it with “savings.” Unfortunately, these “savings” are unproven and untested. Even the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) – the scorekeeper for cost and savings – doesn’t appear to have much faith in these savings. And what has been the reaction from the left in Congress? Instead of embracing objective evidence on health care reform, they are trying to find ways around it, with some in Congress threatening to scrap the CBO’s cost estimate of the Obama plan and instead go with the White House’s own cost estimates.
If anyone truly believes this administration gives a happy flip whether or not you have health care, I know of this great bridge, right next to some Arizona beach front property!

Obama’s Americorps scandal — and the First Lady’s meddling
President Obama is hoping you won’t notice his abrupt change of inspectors general over at Americorps, the government-run, taxpayer-subsidized “community service” boondoggle (which Republicans helped expand as part of the $6 billion GIVE/SERVE Act in March despite its wasteful track record. Thanks, Republicans).
With intervention from Michelle Obama, the Americorps inspector general was given the boot and replaced — for doing his job too well, it seems, and uncovering squandering of funds by favored contributors, educational institutions, and left-wing groups.
Go! Read! LEARN! Is this the hope and change you voted for, libs? Probably. Which tells me a LOT about your mental health.

Holocaust Museum Shooter NOT A CONSERVATIVE!

Apparently our political leftist community decided to use the events at the Holocaust Museum to beat the conservative movement severely about the head and shoulders with stories of this truly awful incident by associating the lone gunman with the conservative movement itself. (Remember now, even the Department of Homeland Security recently identified those in the conservative movement as “Domestic Terrorists”.) There was just one problem with their efforts. Well, there was MORE than ONE problem with it, but the one that stands out and tends to make the leftist press, not only in America, but around the world, REALLY look foolish is the inconvenient fact that the shooter is not a conservative! Shocking! Absolutely shocking, what?
Turns out, the gunman is not a Christian. (Somehow the political left has decided that only rightists can be Christians. Go figure!) In fact, he is a SOCIALIST! He is reported to have made the statement: ““SOCIALISM, represents the future of the West.” I hardly think such a statement would indicate any connection to the conservative movement in “The West.”
I don’t know about you, but I’m getting extremely fed up with the leftist media, or as J.D. refers to it, “The Government Controlled Press”, not doing their job. At one time, reporters prided themselves on getting the FACTS on any story. Now? They look at sites like Daily Kids, and pretty much parrot what the left wing loons spout. This is NOT news, nor should even be considered informative. But that’s what we are getting on ALL news channels now. I know….I can hear it now….”what about ‘Faux News’?” Yep, even Fox has their own loon blaming the “right” for one lone lunatic’s actions. Of course, the left think he’s the lone voice of ‘sanity’. Uh….no, actually. I started noticing his increasingly irrational rants a while ago, and flat out quit watching him. I’d much rather watch reruns of Wipe Swap on Lifetime.
This old man walks into a very moving museum, with years of hatred built up for just about anyone and everyone, shoots and kills a husband, a father, just doing his job, trying to support his family, and the media automatically assumes it’s the fault of anyone who is conservative. Don’t forget, I’m considered a potential “domestic terrorist” many times over: pro-life/anti baby murder, pro-military, pro-2nd Amendment, anti-socialist….and the list goes on and on. I know many people who feel the same way I do, but NONE of us would ever…..EVER consider going into ANY museum, or church and open fire. Would NOT happen! The only people who are in any danger from us are those who would try to strip us of our freedoms and property, and that, through the ballot box and Tea Parties. But don’t push us!
There are many mentally disturbed people in this country and the number seems to be increasing. The animal who murdered Stephen Johns is in no way shape or form associated with conservatives! He is a neo-Nazi! National or Democratic Socialist! I would have to say he would be closer associated with the DNC and the current crop of ‘rulers’.
James von Brunn, the man who allegedly shot and killed a guard at the Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington, D.C., was a Darwin-lover who hated the Bible and Christians, and defies media efforts to classify him as a stereotypical “right-winger,” according to reports. (source)
Nope, he is DEFINITELY NOT one of ours! So, I’d appreciate it, in the future, that the media would check the facts. I know, I am asking a great deal of the lazy, but hey, one can only hope. Oh, and Sheppard Smith should be canned! Immediately!

An apparently accidental 911 call led to the arrest of an 18-year-old Savannah man.
A city patrolman was in the Central Dispatch office at the Savannah Police Department when the call came in. Squealing tires and people talking about narcotics could be heard. The officer glanced out the office window and saw a vehicle fishtailing on Cumberland Street.
According to the report., the officer got in his patrol car, found where the vehicle had stopped and asked one of the people at that location if he knew whose phone had dialed 911. At that time, the officer smelled a strong odor of marijuana coming from a pickup truck parked on the side of the road.
The driver, Christopher H. Hubbard, xxx Edna St., was arrested on charges of possession of marijuana with intent to sell and possession of drug paraphernalia. Police also seized the pickup.
So, you see boys and girls, don’t be a dope!
One thing that bugs me about this particular newspaper….they include people’s full address. Somehow, that just doesn’t seem right. I mean, this kid probably has parents who live in this house and now the criminal element know the address. What are the odds that the parents be going to court with this young idjit, and the paper will have that information also posted?

After fumbling over the Waxman-Markey initiative for several months, Republicans have finally hit their stride. Both House and Senate members are quickly falling behind the rallying cry, “100 New Reactors by 2030.”
“I think global warming is a real problem but I don’t think the solutions the Democrats are coming up with are going to accomplish anything,” said Sen. Lamar Alexander (R., Tenn.), head of the Senate GOP caucus. “The only thing that’s going to allow us to cut carbon emissions is clean nuclear energy. We built 100 reactors between 1970 and 1990. We can do the same thing now. If global warming is the inconvenient problem, then nuclear power is the inconvenient answer.”
I gotta tell ya, every once in a while Alexander will do something that makes sense. Not often, mind you, but occasionally. I’ve never understood why France gets 90% of their energy from nuclear reactors, but we don’t do squat. Oh, wait a minute, yes I do. We have a large portion of the population that listens to a small portion’s blatant LIES! As for his buying into the gorebal warming, I wish he’d explain to me why, if the earth is warming up so much, the upper midwest and the New England area won’t be getting a summer this year? Even though numerous scientists have stated, with proof (not some made up “hockey stick”) that the earth is cooling, there are still those who have decided to continue the fallacy.
Alexander and three other Tennessee legislators were on hand Wednesday morning as Babcock & Wilcox introduced its new “mPower” 125-megawatt modular reactor that it will submit to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission in 2011. The $750 million reactor will be built in a factor and shipped to the site by rail, where it would be completely buried underground and refuel only once every five years. “Everything in this reactor would be made in America,” said Republican Bob Corker, Tennessee’s other senator.
I would like to ask my 2 senators from the Great State of Tennessee…..if we build these reactors, is some moron going to come along and slap a stop sign on them……again? Like I said yesterday, TN had built 10 of them, and they were torn down, but that didn’t stop the state from having to PAY for them.
Congressman Zach Wamp (R., Tenn.) warned that the United States is falling behind other countries in nuclear technology. “What we’re talking about here isn’t just a revival of the nuclear industry,” he said. “We’re talking about an American industrial renaissance.”
First, get the moonbats and EPA out of the way! The new technology has made nuclear energy a lot safer than when Jane Fonda was sagless (The China Syndrome), and 3 Mile Island had a leak…..which by the way, seems not to have caused any damage. But “what about Chernobyl” you ask? Let’s face it, the Soviets never much gave a flip one way or the other if anything was all that safe, and the lives of it’s citizens was never a concern.
When Brat was a young sprout, I took her to Glen Rose to see the dinosaur footprints. One comment she made that has stuck out in my mind….”Why does the air smell so different?” After living in Dallas all her life, anything away would smell better. “But it smells kind of sweet.” We drove by the Comanche Peak Power Plant, and I responded, pointing at it, “That’s why!” Can you imagine how much different, and cleaner the air would be right now if the utterly irrational hadn’t slammed on the breaks of progress? And just why do they call themselves “progressives” anyway? Progress means you move forward, not backward. Sheesh!
Yep! I’m all for building new nuclear facilities. Contrary to what the left might want to believe, conservatives DO care about the environment. Where we differ is how to go about it. We put people first, and smelt last!

An Italian woman who arrived late for the Air France plane flight that crashed in the Atlantic last week has been killed in a car accident.
Johanna Ganthaler, a pensioner from Bolzano-Bozen province, had been on holiday in Brazil with her husband Kurt and missed Air France Flight 447 after turning up late at Rio de Janeiro airport on May 31.
All 228 people aboard lost their lives after the plane crashed into the Atlantic four hours into its flight to Paris.
The ANSA news agency reported that the couple had managed to pick up a flight from Rio the following day.
It said that Ms Ganthaler died when their car veered across a road in Kufstein, Austria, and swerved into an oncoming truck. Her husband was seriously injured.

Free Abortions in Honor of Tiller Denounced as ‘Sick’
Operation Rescue said today that it is appalled to learn that Philadelphia Women’s Center gave away free abortions on Tuesday as a means of “honoring” slain late-term abortionist George Tiller.
“There seems to be no comprehension of the value of human life with these people. Killing babies for free to honor someone who was murdered can only be described as sick,” said Operation Rescue President Troy Newman.
The abortion facility told the media that an unspecified number of abortions were done free of charge, but there are no further plans to offer additional free abortions.
“There is no such thing as a ‘free abortion,’” said Newman. “It costs the life of an innocent baby and puts the woman at risk for increased problems in her life. The loss of each innocent life diminishes us all.”
Studies show that women who have received abortions are more at risk for problems such as suicide, drug and alcohol abuse, and mental illness.
“If the people running that abortion clinic really wanted to help women, they would follow the Tiller family’s example and close their clinic for good,” said Newman.
How the hell is murdering innocent babies honoring anyone? Even a fellow baby murderer? How sick and demented are these ……..ANIMALS to think this was a good idea?

Well, I’m glad that’s over! Now that our silver-tongued president has gone to Cairo to soothe Muslims’ hurt feelings, they love us again! Muslims in Pakistan expressed their appreciation for President Barack Obama’s speech by bombing a fancy hotel in Peshawar this week.
Operating on the liberal premise that what Arabs really respect is weakness, Obama listed, incorrectly, Muslims’ historical contributions to mankind, such as algebra (actually that was the ancient Babylonians), the compass (that was the Chinese), pens (the Chinese again) and medical discoveries (huh?).
But why be picky? All these inventions came in mighty handy on Sept. 11, 2001! Thanks, Muslims!!
