Separation of Church & State

Just a snippet:

Thomas Jefferson, John Adams and every other gentlemen who assisted in the writing of the Declaration of Independence put aside their personal beliefs in order to not misguide the meaning of true freedom. But  they never intended to have God removed from our American foundation! Any and every individual living in this country has the right to believe how they choose based on every individuals freewill because this is the core principle in the meaning of love and in order to hold this country together we must keep God in front!

Love is free and not directed!

George Washington once said,”It is impossible to rightly govern the world without God and the Bible.”

There is a great misconception on the issue of church and state.  No where in the U.S. Constitution is the phrase “separation of church and state”.  NO WHERE!  I dare you to find it!  It’s not there!

Where in the Constitution does it say anything about god? But it does say no establishment of religion and specifically saying no religious test for office.

No, I think you better read that Constitution before you make such a comment.

Congress isn’t allowed to establish an official religion.  And yet, we’re all being forced into New Age Gaia worship.

This is why I believe everyone in this country needs to read The 5000 Year Leap.  Ya get the background behind the Constitution, since some folks don’t seem to have any idea what they are talking about……Saladdin!

They can take that Gaia crap and shove it where the sun WON’T shine.  Heh.  I guess they don’t like facts getting in the way of their distorted view of reality.  :?

So you’re saying as a fact that there is no establishment clause or religious test clause in the constitution?

Why don’t you read the document for yourself, and stop making me do the work for you!

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof;…..

There is no established religion, as in the case of Great Britain.  At the time of the writing, if you wanted to get ahead, you had to be a member of the Church of England.  Our founders didn’t want it forced on them, so they included the clause.  It’s apparent to me you have NO understanding of the history of the Constitution, or this country.  But don’t feel alone, a lot of people have been brainwashed….just like you!

I’m sorry you take my disagreement with you as meaning I have no understanding of our history or country.

If the framers did indeed want a government based on religion then why specifically say ” no establishment of religion” and why place a “no religious test required” clause in the constitution?

Why do you feel the need to insult people who have differing views? Have I insulted you at all? Please be civil. It’s God’s way.

Reading comprehension is not your strong suit, is it.

And believe me, when I insult you, you’ll have NO doubt about it being an insult….neither will anyone else.
